I would have rated this monitor 3 stars but I got it for $120 off. I did not rate it 5 stars because just like all other companies, hp says it’s monitor has 1ms response time, but only if you go into overdrive. If you go into over drive, it just looks awful so I set the response time to level 2 which looks really good (about 4ms). My other two complaints are the backlight bleed and the contrast. It’s advertised for 1,000:1 contrast but it’s more around 750:1 for my panel. Because of this, the blacks look more gray than black. The backlight bleed is also not so great when you are on a completely black screen, but when playing games, it looks amazing. The color is really good. Only reason I’m not returning it is because the bad things that I listed are not super terrible and it’s a great monitor. The quality of the entire monitor itself feels premium.

After nearly a month of research , I purchased this monitor to go with my Xbox Series X. It was narrowed down to the LG 27gn850, the Dell 2721 and the Omen27i. With Black Friday pricing, the Omen dropped to $380. This was a no brainer! After hooking the Omen up, I couldn’t be happier. It was very easy to put together and just as easy to hook up to my Xbox series X. After plugging Xbox into the Omen, I went directly to settings and changed the resolution to 1440p and refresh to 120.The picture is great with great color and crispness. The RGB lighting on the back and below the monitor are a bonus and can be controlled through settings on the back.And for those of you that think you need a 4K monitor or TV for Xbox Series X, you don’t ! I have a 4K 60hz Sony and this monitor is so much better. I play Overwatch and the character model details are incredible on the Omen. Also with the 1440p resolution, you get 120 refresh rate and VRR. This is the sweet spot for gaming on your Xbox Series X so don’t hesitate!

Amazing monitor display with a great resolution, refresh rate, and color range. The price a little bit high but it was great for what was offered and I'm planning on buying another one for a dual monitor setup because it's so good!

This is the best screen I've owned. Nicer than my 4k Samsung monitor without question. It doesn't have HDR or 4k, but you don't need it because it produces colors and detail on par with the pro monitors I've been around in design studios that cost 3-4 times as much. Instant response time, very fast refresh, great brightness, and good software. The build quality is also notable. It feels like a premium monitor. Games and movies are an absolute dream. Don't waste your money on 4k, you don't need it on a screen this size, I couldn't be happier.

I really love the colors on this monitor and the design/stand! I just wish I had got it in a 32 inch or ultra wide which I just saw that released recently! This is worth getting for a price lower than what it is listed at rn imo.

-The design is very sleek -Easy Setup -Great control -Beautiful IPS colors -RGB option on front and back on the panel -Setting(4) response time is very bad and looks awful like a washed-out rainbow. Setting(3) is perfect -165z feels smooth

Got this monitor for 260 open box and its the best 2k 165hz monitor on the market for that price

It has been a great monitor, I’ve owned it for the last 4 years and have had no problems.

The colors look amazing and the screen is very clear. Not slow at all perfect for gaming

Still works like new all these years later. Got in in 2020.

Overall great monitor. Switched from an Acer due to its flickering issue. This ips glow is present, but a far cry from annoying. I also found the color to be great and the 165hz refresh rate to be buttery smooth. My only issue is the vesa mount was somewhat difficult to use, but ended up working with a standard mount. Just note that your mount must support rotation since it requires the mount to be oriented in a diamond shape.

Definitely a great quality monitor had for few years now still operating at peak. Can’t wait to pick up my 2nd one!

Had this monitor for about 2 years now with no flaws whatsoever. Very decently priced during sale times and well worth the money.

I recently had purchased the BestBuy Total Tech Support for a custom PC build since I did not want a prebuild. I purchased all of the parts needed and chose custom parts to the design I wanted in a gaming pc that was assisted professionally by James at the Hammond, LA store. I was very pleased with all his efforts and recommendations and ordered everything for my custom build. When they came in Geek Squad custom assembled my pc and within a short time I was very satisfied with the best build I have ever purchased. It only needed one more item and that was this awesome monitor the HP - OMEN Gaming 27" IPS LED QHD FreeSync & G-Sync Compatible. While there are many otyher monitors for the price you cannot beat the features and quality of this gem. The graphics are mind blowing and let me say I will not ever want a 60-75Hz pc again after seeing the clarity and detail of this piece of art. I am running Win 64 Pro, 2080 Super, with a 9900 processor so I did not want bottle neck graphics on my old monitor. I was lucky enough to get this HP Omen and I have to say it has shown me what true quality a 2080 can do. I highly very highly recommend this monitor. It has USB plug ins for headphones etc, RGB backlighting, high quality stand made of metal and heavy, great video quality, is G-Sync, and amazing!! Get one and you will want another like me. I plan to buy another and love it.
