I’ve been using this HP OMEN 34" curved monitor for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. I’ve been using the OMEN 34" Curved Monitor for a few months now, and it has completely transformed my setup. The ultra-wide curved display is stunning — it pulls you right into the action, whether you’re gaming, editing videos, or multitasking. The colors are vibrant, the contrast is sharp, and the 165Hz refresh rate makes gameplay feel buttery smooth with no lag or screen tearing.
The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy stand and a clean, modern design that looks great on any desk. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up and adjust. The curve is just right — not too aggressive, but enough to make you feel fully immersed.
For gaming, productivity, and even watching movies, this monitor delivers top-tier performance. If you want an upgrade that balances speed, visuals, and style, the OMEN 34" Curved is a fantastic choice.

I got this monitor about 8 months ago, so I've had quite a bit of time to get adjusted to it. I upgraded from a 1080p, 24 inch curved Dell monitor, and while I definitely consider it a great step up from that, it does come with some trade-offs.
Before I dive into the details, I'll just say: If you like the ultra-wide form factor, then from the perspective of someone who uses their computer daily for chatting, gaming, and even streaming to friends via Discord, this is a really solid choice in my eyes. The monitor itself has been great! It's the form factor that I mainly had issues with, and why I took it down a star.
So, to get into the heavy details now:
What I like...
+Monitor has great brightness and color, the screen looks beautiful and crisp
+Extremely fast response rate, this display is SMOOTH as can be
+Adjustable tilt and screen angles, while limited, help a lot with adapting to different desk setups
What I don't like...
-The ultrawide format means compatibility with games and apps is iffy, if it works it's really cool, but if it doesn't, it's a pain to fix
-Streaming to friends is annoying, because windows will look stretched and have black borders on the top and bottom for them, making their viewing experience worse and everything hard to read
-Minor nitpick, but it's HEAVY. This is to be expected of a monitor this size, but just good to keep in mind if you adjust your desk a lot
Overall, not a bad monitor, but the ultra-wide stuff isn't for me.

Very good monitor no issues at all. First ultrawide monitor so getting use to that but I definitely like it so far. Been comparing to a OLED side by side and yes the OLED looks nice but it’s not far off from this Omen. OLED has the faster response time but I only notice it when running test (UFO test). I see very little ghosting when adjusting this monitors response time. I don’t see that much black smearing like most people talk about with VA panels, maybe I’m not just that sensitive to it. Overall good monitor for the sale price I got it for of $299.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I had to buy a usbc to dp adapter to achieve the max refresh rate of 165hz. Hdmi ports will only go up to 100hz. At 165hz combined with HDR, I'm able to watch movies at max res and ultra wide format with so much clarity, color and no lag.

I wanted a monitor I could use both for gaming and for work (software development). I heard from others that VA panels might cause less eye strain than IPS. The connectivity is slightly disappointing with the lack of HDMI 2.1, but it's not that big of a deal. I just connect my gaming PC via display port and my work laptop via HDMI. My work laptop still runs at 100 Hz, which is fine for work. The menu system is also nice and easy to use. I like that it stores the brightness setting along with the color mode you're using, so I can set Night mode to 0 brightness and Standard to 75, and it will change the brightness when I switch between the two modes.

Pretty good offering from HP. Especially if you get it on a deal. Love the size and resolution. Everything is really crisp and colors look good. Easy assembly. Docking a star for the absolute hot garbage of speakers. They'll do in a pinch but they are bad. They're very echoey and teeny. It's like they're so far inside the shell that the sound can't get out. Still a good monitor though if you catch it on a sale. 8/10

Initially I was looking at the LG 34inch UltraWide curved monitor to use in my home office. However, I saw this monitor that was on sale and had better specs than the one I was originally looking at. Went to my local Best Buy to look at them, but none were on display but this one was in stock whereas the LG wasn’t. I do also have a Dell UltraSharp 32 or 34 that I use for my M2 Mac mini, but comparing to that, this is almost the same ball park at that monitor. I replaced my HP 27F IPS monitor that I use with my Xbox Series X and connected it to this, and it handled without issue. The other HP monitor became my home office monitor for work. Now I don’t have to worry about my controller going off when I am using other pheriperals for the Xbox thanks to the build in speakers; its better than nothing.

I just picked up this monitor to replace a Dell 3415uw that I've had for about a decade. My son bought a new gaming monitor and I got jealous of all the Hz. After reading a few reviews online, I went down to the store to see it in person and compare to some other monitors they had on display. I am very impressed with the overall quality and value of this monitor.
When you first plug it in, it's always best to adjust all the settings to your liking. After adjusting everything, the picture quality is very nice. Colors are vibrant, contrast is amazing, darks are dark (as dark as you want to set them too). There are a bunch of settings on the monitor you can adjust along with some settings in Windows.
Build quality is nice as well. It's a pretty hefty monitor, but my old one was actually heavier. The weight makes it feel more quality, but if you plan on mounting it on an arm, you need a strong one. I love that the stand tilts and adjusts vertically, but I do wish it had a swivel base as well. One thing it's also missing is some extra USB ports. That would have been nice, but not necessary as I can always just buy a separate hub.

I got this for my wife to use in her home office since she is used to having dual monitors when she goes into the office. Her company issued HP laptop could not drive this monitor to the full resolution. Got a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter and now it runs at 3440x1440 @ 100Hz. She doesn't have the best eye sight, but has no complaints about using this all day for spreadsheets and other office duties. We don't use it for gaming, so I can't provide any feedback, but considering how crisp and clean it looks running at just 100Hz, I'm sure it would be great for gaming.

Fantastic 34” QHD curved display with 165Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth gameplay. VA panel offers deep blacks and vibrant colors, while FreeSync prevents tearing.
Pros: Immersive, sharp visuals, smooth performance.
Cons: None so far.

Fantastic monitor. Colors are so bright and Vibrant. Games look freaking awesome on it.
Now... Don't make the same mistake I did.
I had a RTX 3060ti paired with a 5600x build. This monitor looked absolutely horrible with that system. I had all sorts of brightness flickering and it just wasn't good at all. I was worried it was the monitor but it wasn't. That card might handle 1440p okay but not an ultra wide.
Thankfully I was already planning on building a nee PC. Was trying for a 5080 but we know how that's launch is going. But I did score a 4070 super at MSRP and that card with this monitor is AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS COMBINATION!!!!!
I love everything about this monitor. It's a great deal for the quality you get.

Huge curved screen and decent price on sale. My Wife uses this for her work in which she replaced 2 other monitors and a laptop screen, She says it is much better and easier to work on the one screen compared to all the other screens she had been using. A coupe of gripes, this doesn't have enough USB ports and the internal speakers are a joke, very tinny and low audio.
