Can't say I'm not loving it! Definitely a sweet upgrade from my 5 year-old Omen 1660 Ti and LOQ 3050 laptops. Comes with a free basic full-size keyboard and mouse. Pros: *(running games and apps at base BIOS/performance settings with upgraded RAM and SSD)* -can run most games easily with capped 60 frames, high graphics at 2K/1440p resolution, even Unreal Engine 5 slop games (but remember, the GPU is designed to be a middle-market thing that takes advantage of DLSS features; raw performance and benchmarking may yield middling performance) -5060 Ti / 16GB card is compatible with Nvidia Smooth Motion technology (and other latest NV features) -plays well with third-party frame gen/scaling programs (Lossless Scaling FG) -Ryzen 7 8700F has good amount of headroom even for CPU-intensive games so far -good overall thermals and is quiet so far -easy RAM and SSD upgradeability -good aesthetics/LED lighting balance, not too childishly flashy (for a 39 y/o man like me) -easy to setup, no unnecessary bloatware and bloat background apps eating system resources -good amount of ports/connectivity -comes in a good-sized package (tower case) Cons (but easily forgivable): -this could have come with 32 GB DDR5 RAM; one has to buy the same exact specific RAM stick brand and model to upgrade to higher RAM capacity -misleading description on Best Buy where it is made to sound like it runs 6000 MT/s out of the box; need to use preset EXPO 1 or 2 via BIOS but it can be very unstable in CPU-intensive situations; default is 5200 MT/s BUT it is enough a speed if you're only going to be mostly gaming and doing some moderate to heavy video/photo processing and stuff -this should've come with a full booklet guide to everything just so it comes handy when a buyer wants to also upgrade stuff right out of the box -a bit too heavy to carry/move around (but definitely doable) -did not come with official Omen brand desktop background wallpapers; yes, I love the Omen wallpapers that my 5 year-old Omen laptop came with UPGRADES done: -RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 RGB EXPO Desktop Memory | 6000MT/s / 16GB x Kit of 2 (KF560C36BBE2AK2-32) *for a total of 32 GB RAM swap from factory-installed 16 GB sticks* *note: above RAM sticks swapped exactly match the factory RAM sticks the rig came with, installed on slots 2 and 4 for max base speed of 5200 MT/s, BIOS adjusted via EXPO profiles up to 6000 MT/s* *installing on all 4 RAM slots will result to slower speed at 3600 MT/s and possible instability even when using EXPO profiles* -Internal SSD: Samsung - 990 EVO PLUS SSD 1TB, PCIe Gen 4x4 | 5x2 M.2 2280, Speeds Up to 7,150 MB/s -External SSD (via one of the USB-C 3.1 ports): Samsung - T7 1TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD with Hardware Encryption Internal stress/benchmark results at base/factory settings: 11,680

The HP OMEN 35L has a defective and low-quality power supply that does not match the level of the rest of the components. The PSU is weak, unreliable, and often operates at its limit, which can cause excessive noise, power instability, random shutdowns, and long-term damage to internal hardware. For a high-performance gaming desktop, this power supply is poorly designed, not future-proof, and fails to deliver clean, stable energy, making it one of the biggest flaws of the system.

    A Great 1440p Gaming Experience!

The HP Omen 35L has an impressive appearance. It has plenty of airflow and ventilation. This is a great all-around mid-range gaming rig. The Ryzen 7 8700F is an efficient processor. It was more than capable of pushing out good frames at 1440p settings. The 5060 TI with 16 GB of video memory also did well. The extra video memory allowed me to crank up the settings in POE2. I was able to get 70+ steady frames even when on-screen effects are crazy. I also ran OBS great while screen-recording while gaming. Everything ran fine and stayed quiet. GTA 5 ran smooth on 4K settings on high. While gaming the desktop stayed very quiet. You could barely hear the fans. This means HP did a great job with the overall configuration here. I did upgrade the desktop with a second 2TB SSD. The 5060 TI has an extra bracket to help with sagging. Which isn't needed but HP did add the security. What I did not care for was all the bloatware that came on the desktop. I usually do a lot of uninstalling. There was a lot with this one. Oh, and the OMEN Gaming Hub was very cluttered. It has a lot going on. You can customize the desktop, Shop for games, Manage AI tuning, and manage many other things. It made the experience laggy... To add a second SSD, you have to uninstall and reinstall the GPU. Pre-builds are getting better and better. This one is great for a 1440p gaming experience. The Ryzen 7 8700F will perform well for gaming. The 5060TI 16GB performed well and should for a couple of years. Just upgrade the memory to 32GB and you're good to crush any games at 1440p. You may have to use some upscaling or DLSS, but most games perform fine with those features on. Everything in this setup stayed cool, performed well, and stayed quiet!

    Triple A Gaming Ready

The HP Omen 35L offers a mid grade entry point for people looking to spend some more money and be able to game at ultra resolutions. While it does boast the latest and greatest tech including the new 50 series gpu, the real question becomes if rather or not it is worth the hype. So for this review i wanted to really focus on what this set up is really meant for and that is a gaming rig that gives you some future proof tech and is out of the box ready. So out of the box the all white build along with the provided matching all white keyboard and mouse was very eye pleasing and appealing to the fact that it is truly out of the box ready to go. Yes you will need a bunch of firmware update, and i personally recommend using a program that will facilitate all your hardware updates with one push of a button. The first thing i did was take apart the unit just to see the tech and more personally how the wiring was done. I will say that HP did a excellent job at wire routing. And while this may seem trivial, i can tell you it helps with cooling. I am not a big fan of the fact that it only comes with two front facing fans to draw in fresh air. Aside from the fact you have a cpu fan and two tiny GPU fans cooling was on the back of my mind. When put up against games such as Expedition 33 or Cyberpunk GPU temps did good at staying around 75°C while CPU temps where hovering around the low 70s. While temps did maintain and were nothing to worry about, i will say based on my experience this will not be the case in the future. Keep in mind you will need to add more fans as tech progress and parts cooling efficiency degrades. The 1TB SSD means that you will be sharing storage space with all the memory for your start up apps and programs along with any games you download. Download and load times are definitely a lot faster but keep in mind with games starting to top 100 gigs you will run out of memory quick so take not that you will either be deleting games or upgrading to more memory very quickly. Now as far as tech goes there is some trade off to be aware of. Yes it is technically the newest but may not be the greatest. HP's bios is tricky to get in to if your looking to change settings. There is not much flexibility in the way of personalization unless you truly replace the mother board. Not a big deal for me since its already running PCIe 5.0 along with DDR 5 Ram. The Ryzen 7 does a awesome job at handling anything you throw at it, and for being a budget cpu i actually have no complaints other than you may struggle with 4k video editing. The GPU while technically a 50 series was a little less than what i was expecting in the way of performance. For being a 5060 Ti i really wanted to see how it would perform against a 4070 ti and 3080. The 5060 ti timespy score came in the lowest which was very disappointing to see considering it is a 50 series. Yes i understand its only 5060 and not 5080 or 5070 for that matter but i did expect it to be able to hold its own with the fact that it is a Ti model. I don't want to drag this review on so i want to cut to the chase. If you don't know much about computers and your looking for something thats out of the box game ready and that's strictly what your going to use it for then i say yes, go for it. It has enough tech to make it future proof for at least the next five to ten years in my personal opinion. More memory and fans will need to be added later on but that is a minor inconvience. If your the kind of person that normally builds your own PC but you have more money than time i'd pass on this set up. The specs and hardware are going to drive you crazy and your going to want to upgrade several items which is going to end up coming out to the same cost had you just built your own. With that being said, for being as critical as i am it truly does it the mark for being game ready. Just keep in mind the GPU really is the weak point in my opinion.

HP Omen has been a great brand for HP to showcase its high computing power, and their new 35L Gaming Desktop is no exception has it gives you one of the best gaming experience you could ask for! PROS: - Onboxing, I was really impressed with the design of this desktop. It has a nice premium build, super sleek edges, and of course the big beautiful open display on it to see the insides. After that, setup is super easy with this as it runs Windows 11. - Along with setup, this comes with a white HP wired keyboard and mouse. They look nice, and of course the wired connection gives you that extra fast speed. - When you start using this desktop, you will very easily notice how super fast it is. It has a high end Risen processor and it can handle a ton of applications at once - while of course handling the best gaming setup you have with no lag whatsoever. - Speaking of gaming, the graphics processing is also really impressive. It has a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card which allows for super colorful and detailed gaming, including top of the line performance on it. My games have never looked so smooth! - I also really liked the high end 1 TB solid state drive, no more loud hard drives! - Of course, all desktops still need to cool and this does a great job with a 4-Heatpipe design that not only helps cool it efficiently but of course you can utilize the fun RGB lighting to really bring your desktop to light and make it a super fun showcase point on your desk. - There is a bit of future proofing on this too in the terms of utilizing AI not only for Microsoft CoPilot, but for the NVIDIA graphics card leveraging AI as well for your graphics. CONS: - This is minor but I do wish that it came with more USB-C ports on it. It has one on the top and on behind the PC but that is it. With how more and more accessories are moving to USB-C, I would have liked to see at least four ports. - I also would have liked to see a WiFi 7 certification for this instead of WiFi 6. BOTTOM LINE: - When you are a gamer, you want the best of the best to give you your edge while gaming. And the HP Omen 35L desktop simply delivers on this. It has a ton with speed with high end processors, dedicated graphics cards, and a SSD. The HP Omen can handle a lot of applications as a time which make it a true do it all desktop for gaming, work, content creation, coding, and more. I really have no major complaints and just think that HP did a really nice job with this gaming PC and think a lot of people are going to be convinced this is the one to get!

HP OMEN continue this year with their most recent prebuild PC refresh that started last year, the framing of this PC is the same from their previous year but ofcourse this time HP OMEN 35L is equipped with an updated graphics card from Nvidia. I have the white case version of this omen, from the looks I feel like HP did a great job with their latest prebuild, it looks clean that looks good in any gaming setup. this one is equipped with 5060 ti 16GB version, a 120 mm fan, 1 TB of SSD for games and Kingston Fury 16GB of Ram. the front RGB colors and overall lighting of this PC is beautiful to look at. EXPERIENCE: I play alot of The Finals, I was using a 1440p monitor and when it comes to FPS I was reaching a great 170+ FPS with optimized setting that looks good. did not experience any CPU overheating and stayed on cool temp most of time. using the latest DLSS feature that the 5060 offers was also great I was able to test out the latest framegen on games including the finals that I didnt mind using it at all. seeing the game go over 200+ was amazing to experience. after testing on competitive games. I transferred my OMEN 35L on my sim racing where I downloaded ACC to test out the performance, I was not disappointed at all the game was running above 120hz while eveything was on the highest setting on 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor. I have yet to experience any fans going loudly due to aby over heat this PC is the perfect PC to use for my Sim considering this 5060TI also has a 16GB of VRAM, I have been enjoying the performance I need and I doubt I would need to upgrade due to the results im already getting. Back to Playing on competitive games. it did not have any issue running any game or any heavy hitting games, I feel like you should always test cyberpunk considering how demanding the game is but with the last X4 framegen this helps alot on single player games. CONCLUSION: if youre wanting to jump into PC gaming and unsure I highly recommend the latest prebuild that HP OMEN 35L is offering. its a great based line to start with all the things you need this PC will deliver it, then maybe later on upgrade the SSD space and atleast have the Ram to 32GB and 5060TI 16GB is so much better that I thought it will do. maybe upgrade the motherboard in the future if you want more inputs but beyond that I think HP again did a great job with this latest redesign its a perfect gaming PC for everyone.
