HP Sucks - That says it all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being able to call in the USA and actually talk to a live tech person is nearly impossible. I wasted 2 days of my life trying. HP makes it nearly impossible to upgrade your ram. I would not under any circumstance recommend buying any computer from HP. I deeply regret my decision.

Waste of money if you actually play games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t have expandable storage. If you PC game. Don’t buy this. Bought it for the wife to see if she’d like PC over console. She does, and now I can’t upgrade this. Oh and the fans whine from the factory, not scream like they’re working hard, just that the bearings are cooked

Unreliable with terrible customer service
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute garbage support from HP. The computer shipped with horrible coil whine. They had me do the same recovery steps over and over with absolutely no change. Then they claimed Best Buy "modified" the machine and told me to bring it back to Best Buy. I didn't have the box anymore or I would have returned it a long time ago! Best Buy did not modify it, obviously. Finally after two weeks of arguing with them they send me a box to ship the machine to a repair facility. It comes back DOA, will not power on. Support then has me go through all the same recovery steps AGAIN with no change. HP refuses to replace the machine. I now have a brick, as I cannot return it and HP will not replace it.

Bad quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased on 6/1/25. Was delivered by 6/4/25. I set it up and while it was downloading games I left and when I came back it was locked out asking for a bitlocker key! I didn’t have one and HP couldn’t help me so they told me to return the machine. I returned it and then they set me another one. Set it up and was able to play for 1 day then again the bitlocker came back up. I was able to put the key in but then the computer wouldn’t load anything in the screen. Called HP and after 3 hrs then made me delete the drives and start all over again setting it up. It has been working fine since but I went through 2 desktops with less than an hour of playing time between them and set the desktop up 3 times. Wasted like 10 hrs on the phone from HP

Poor Customer Experience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this desktop and after setting it up, and realized a subscription that was supposed to be included in the sale was not included. After checking my email/junk email, I tried to call the Best Buy Store I purchased it from to get help with getting the subscription, but was transferred to a call center. The call center rep could not help and said to call back the next day because no one who could help was available. I called back the next and spent 1 hour on a call talking to two call center reps who ultimately had no good solution other than to disassemble the computer and take it back to the store-- or try to call the store I purchased it from again for help (which I did and kept getting the IVR so that din't work). This is extremely disappointing from a customer experience standpoint. With Best Buy being a large retailer and with all the advances in technology, there should be a much easier, faster solution to this that is customer friendly. I've already spent over 2 hours between the calls and research to get help and now have to spend more time an energy to disassemble the computer and drive it back to the store. The computer itself seems great, but the purchase was not worth the hassle--buy somewhere that values providing a seamless customer experience.

Not Really Ram Upgradeable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having a terrible time upgrading the RAM on this machine. Been a nightmare so far. Seems to only work with HP Branded Kingston Fury Ram for which the parts are not readily available.

Unlucky?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it, downloaded everything, started playing fortnite, computer starts making a ring noise and turns off an hour into me playing. Powered it on again, tried to play again. It turned off once again. I don’t if I was just unlucky but it worked for an hour and then decided to not work. Had to return it, a day after i bought it…

Its trash just build your own for that price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fps on the computer only did 60 to 70 fps and its trash for what you pay for when you can get a way better pc and also the power supply is bad when you’re playing on the pc it will turn your PC off so do not buy this crap for the price when you can just build it and runs way better then this and also if you can’t build a pc yourself bestbuy geek squad can do it for you.

Piece of crap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this pc for 1 month and i have had to reset it 3 times due to it screwing up the files of games. Thing cant even handle fortnite or rust because after playing for 20 minutes it randomly decides to crash the game along with the entire pc. You then cant turn it off by keyboard and mouse and you have to unplug it and replug it back it. This thing is so agrivating it takes all the fun out of the games and just makes you want to smash it and never play again.

Customization and Performance in a Sleek Housing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop is the perfect blend of raw power, future-ready customization, and sleek design. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8700 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, this desktop is engineered for intense gaming sessions, creative workflows, and multitasking with ease. Whether you are diving into the latest PC games or editing high-res videos, this machine manages it all effortlessly. Out of the box, the unit is very sleek, clean, and compact. Keeping with the compact minimalist concept. It is not just about power from HP has also taken steps to ensure this desktop is environmentally responsible. Built with sustainable materials like post-consumer recycled plastic and recyclable packaging, you can feel good about your purchase while enjoying top-tier performance. The 35L stays remarkably cool even during extended play sessions, thanks to its robust cooling system with multiple 100mm fans. Despite the intense power under the hood, the desktop runs quietly, allowing you to focus on your game. Connectivity is also a strong suit, with multiple USB-C and USB-A ports, fast Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring you are always well-connected. The performance packs a punch. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor with 8 cores and sixteen threads brings lightning-fast speed, making it ideal for gaming, streaming, or content creation. Paired with the NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti, gaming at ultra-high settings is smooth and responsive, with stunning visuals and zero lag. During my gameplay sessions, everything ran flawlessly, while using ultra-high graphics settings. This desktop is more than ready to tackle anything from fast-paced FPSs to expansive open-world adventures. My only criticism of this out-of-the-box setup is that even at this price point, the unit only came equipped with 16 GB of RAM. In today's world, even with higher-end components such as those found in the 35L. You really need the full four sticks of RAM at 32+GB. I put the OMEN 35L to the test right out of the box using the Unigine 2 benchmark, and the results were good, maybe not overly impressive though. My user experience did not reflect this benchmark software’s results. Under the 1080p Extreme discipline, the system scored a workable 7,489, just shy of top-tier systems in this range. On a 4K optimized test, the system achieved a mid-range score of 9,408, which is again an adequate score considering the price point but really should be higher overall. The OMEN Gaming Hub allows you to fine-tune the system’s performance, adjust the RGB lighting, and optimize every aspect of your setup with ease. After tweaking and overclocking through the OMEN app included, the scores remained strong but high mid to low top tier, showing that this desktop will deliver in high-performance environments. One of the standout features of the HP OMEN 35L is how easy it is to upgrade. The toolless access to components means you can swap out parts without any hassle, and the excellent cable management keeps everything tidy. Which I will need when I upgrade two more Fury sticks or add a new GPU down the road. HP designed this desktop with future upgrades in mind. Final thoughts: the HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for powerful performance, easy upgrades, and a sleek design. Whether you are gaming, working, or creating, this desktop delivers speed, reliability, and a premium experience across the board. With its customizable features and sustainable design, it is a future-proof investment for gamers and creators alike. 10/10 recommend.
