Laptop works great. Very fast but battery & battery life is awful. Where battery plugs into computer doesn't fit right. It easily stops charging if you move it and charge goes from 100% down to 30% in 30 minutes when playing a game. I don't really know if that's normal since this is my first gaming laptop but I'm not even talking about hard core gaming. I'm talking golf with friends or witchit. I would recognition it only if you are ok with using it plugged in.

Price was awesome glad we caught it on sale. Daughter loves the functions and memory would definitely recommend as a purchase.

This HP Omen 26 gaming laptop is one fairly good machine! I know in the past HP has made these out of plastic but the box said it's made of aluminum and it feels like it. Has a good, solid build quality I normally do not expect of HP products. Looks like they are stepping up its game (no pun intended) in their gaming laptops, and I for one welcome this change. This is the second laptop I've owned using both and AMD Ryzen CPU and GPU. And like the other machine this one feels snappier than an Intel/Nvidia powered machine. Of course the DDR5 16GB of memory probably has something to with it but I'm not complaining. The built in screen has a 144Mhz refresh rate and produces a nice color reproduction as well as being right enough to see in sunlight. Another win in my book! They keyboard is pleasant to type on with no excessive give or bowing with plenty of key travel. If I had one complaint it be the lack of a 10 key number pad. On a laptop this size I'd have expected at least that. Using the included software you can control the RBG backlighting on the keyboard with multiple zones/colors and this a very nice addition. The built in B&O speakers are ok but I'd suggest either using headphones or some proper external speakers to fully enjoy the experience. Another thing I enjoy is the built in ethernet jack. Wi-Fi is fine but I prefer the solid connection of wired internet when possible. The machine had no issues when connected to either my 4k monitor of 4k LG TV. No noticeable drop in frame rate when on the medium quality settings. Gaming. It's a gaming laptop so let's talk about that. GTA V looks great using the built in display and handle the "high" setting just fine. Bumping that up to a 4k external and you need to drop to medium settings. The nice thing is that when gaming you don't often hear any excessive fan noise and it doesn't get too hot. Overall, this is an excellent mid-level gaming laptop.

Using it for gaming only. everyone of my devices have been plug and play. It is exactly what I needed for gaming

Summary ------------ This is a good 16 inch gaming laptop. Very powerful does not get hot , has an excellent display , insane battery life of around 8-9 hours. The keys are great for gaming and paired with the massive keypad, it is great for gaming. Overall a good buy for the price. Cons ------ 1. Mostly Plastic build 2. No RGB lighting 3. No fingerprint scanner. 4. Fan noise at times could be a little high. Details ---------- This is an excellent laptop , very powerful, Ryzen 7800 with AMD Radeon RX 6650M, 16GB memory and 1TB SSD. This is mostly build of plastic and hence it has got some flex. However it is well made. The screen is full HD and has a 720p webcam and it also has Bluetooth and you can use it for work as well and zoom calls. The keyboard is good and it does have good feal to it. The vent system does keep the laptop cool. I wish it did have RGB lighting though. The laptop did come preloaded with Windows 11. I was able to play the Call of Duty game and it was fun and the experience was smooth. The large trackpad did help. Overall for the price I would recommend the laptop and great for gaming

Crashes when trying to run games which contradicts the whole idea of this being a gaming laptop. I was warned about this and should've listened. It just says Unexpected crash and then the screen goes black.
