This is a great deal, particularly in the current climate. There are a few things to note. As others have said it does run hot out of the box. First thing I highly recommend doing is undervolting the GPU (use msi afterburner), I found 1777mHz@850mV works well for me but do your own testing, there are a few good YouTube tutorials you can follow. GPU temps went from 83C to 65C under load after undervolting and slightly tweaking fan curves (also configurable in msi afterburner). Next thing I did was put a new CPU cooler on. Note the case is narrow so make sure to check the cooler size. This can also be a bit of a pain as you may have to take the stock cpu cooler mount off the back of the mother board (requires taking the mobo out and ripping off the stock mount, which is difficult). If you can find a cooler that fits the stock mount I would do that, unless you are comfortable with PC building. Also note that though the cpu is AMD, the mobo mounting is intel, so you will need to use the intel mounting brackets that come with any new cooler you buy. With a better cpu cooler, cpu temps dropped from 80C to 60Cish under load.

I am giving this 4 stars because I feel the price is a bit high, but that might be unwarranted due to the fact that gpu’s are not readily available. Its running a ryzen 5 5600g. Thats an APU with the integrated graphics. (So for miners that want to be able to pull the gpu and still use the computer this is a plus. Lol.)
Im running games on competitive settings and getting near 200fps on some AAA titles at 1080p with 240hz monitor.
Honestly, this is my first prebuild and my first HP omen ( first HP period) and I have no idea how they did it or if its due to the fact that its running a propietary 3060 (HP variant), but this things runs cool and quiet. I have tried to stress the system and ran it overclocked and it just wont make much noise if any at all. The glass is cool to touch and theres just not much heat coming from the system. And thats with only one 120 rgb fan in the front and a 90mm fan for exhaust. Its kinda blowin my mind. HP did a great job with the case choice and how the air flows. Really have to applaud them eith this prebuilt.
Like I said earlier, I might be nitpicking with 4 stars because of price but overall I do think its worth the price.

I love this computer! Before this I had a dell gaming laptop which got really annoying to deal with, this desktop is much sleeker, nicer and is much better to look at. It runs great! It fits my needs running all of the games I play at 100+ FPS while running relatively cool for an air cooled system. Long story short, I love this computer and I would buy again from HP.

Bought as a starting point for PC gaming and rendering. So far, I have found that this has done everything I was hoping for and more. Thankfully, I have found that adding or changing basic parts to be simple and quick. If available, I would highly recommend to someone who is looking for a great started pre-build.

it sis a good pc but, the case has such bad airflow. i installed 2 fans in the case(top and bottom) and it made the airflow way better. but other then the airflow, this pc can run a lot of triple a games at high settings.

It is a great computer with 3060 GPU. The only reason I won't give it a five star is, if you run the GPU at 100% speed for a long time, the internal fan noise is a little loud than the 3060 Ti liquid cool siblings. But this one is also $400 cheaper. So overall it is a great buy.

If you're a Photographer, this review is for you!

I'm a photographer, and my old laptop just was not holding up anymore. It took entirely too long to edit single photos let alone entire wedding galleries. Hours upon hours wasted. I struggled through research to find a "decent" gaming PC to replace my laptop for all things small business and photography/graphic design apps (like adobe suite apps). I'm also a little bit of a gamer, so I wanted something that would run Blizzard games well online.
This tower is perfect for what I need AND it has room to expand the memory. But as-is, it runs all of my editing and design apps seamlessly, it syncs with dropbox and uploads so fast. Gaming is great, no issues there either. Photoshop and Lightroom both run and export super fast. If you're a creative or a photographer looking to get away from the laptops and back onto a tower like me, definitely consider this one. Plenty of USBs, jacks, HDMI, etc on it. I have three monitors connected, keyboard/mouse, XQD card reader, SD card reader, external HD, webcam/mic, etc...this thing is a beast machine for a small business.

This is my first gaming pc and I love it! I did a lot of research about the specs and it turns out it’s true! It’s a great buy for the money especially during these times. It’s fast and powerful, you can easily get over 100fps. I recommend getting it before they go away!

Comes with a 3060 so a major plus for the money. Interesting that they chose to pair the Ryzen 3600G with a motherboard that doesn't support integrated graphics. Also, it doesn't come with an AIO, it's a stand air cooler.

The price was worth it just to have the RTX 3060 and not have to hassle with building the PC. It's running like a champ and staying cool. I'm very happy with the purchase! For $1299, I couldn't beat it. I'm not sure what's up with the power button.

Pros: Runs FFXIV, Rocket League, LoL, at max settings no problem. (which I expected). Really really quiet with low temps compared to my RTX2070super machine. Runs Oculus Rift S amazingly as well.
Cons: a little light on USB ports

First gaming Computer for me. It's so fast, and quiet. I use it primarily for video processing and upgrading from a 10-year old computer is a huge jump! Only would like to have better control of leaving all the multiple lights off.

Not as advertised guys " - 1 star". Was described as having a liquid CPU cooler and a 4x4 GB ram configuration this desktop model has neither. Thankfully I have an extra cooler and fans as honestly IMO the airflow is going to be tight in this case as-is stock. 120mm front intake with 92mm rear exhaust is pretty sketch IMO. "- .5 star"
The Ryzen 7 5600G performs within single digit percentages of it's 5600X counterpart while using less wattage, and is a solid performer meeting or exceeding current system requirements for most tasks.
Sadly HP did not include an onboard HDMI port on the motherboard to actually test the onboard Vega cores in real world usage without a dedicated card installed. Actually kind of a let down, I would have loved to see how it does unaided in some 1080p gaming tests. I assume I'll have to wait to test this until 5000G CPU's are recognized in 3rd party board bios updates."- .5 stars."
Software less bloatware than HP's I have dealt with previously, but still enough to merit me doing some removal before connecting it to the internet.
The GPU is an entry level RTX 3060 it's OK, IMO not worth the tons of hype and online hoarding it's receiving. As it does not touch my 2 gen old 1080ti in my other machine.
The RAM seriously HP? Trying to make your RAM sticks semi proprietary by throttling non OEM sticks in the bios is just bad P.R. guys. No one should have to open Ryzen Master to get additional ram to operate at it's designated speeds. If you truly want to market this box to people who like to game or build just stop this nonsense altogether. "-1 Star"
All in all though if you don't have the parts it's an overall good machine that can use some improvements and tweaks which follow.
1: Truth in advertising.
2:Improved airflow with @ least 1-120mm top fan if you insist on using an air cooler.
3: Mesh the entire bottom of the case HP. I have not used a power supply without a top or bottom fan configuration since the early 2000's & have no desire to use one now. I can see this PSU failing after the warranty expires, so I'm going to be preemptive.
4:The RAM "just stop it no one wants this including you" :)
A few minor design tweaks, honesty in advertising, and even 1- 120mm top fan with the air cooler. I would have given Omen 5 stars on this. Even though I was harsh on some things in my review. Hopefully HP can take some notes, and push out a 5 star Omen next gen.
