Fun While It Lasted

Worked fine for about 8 months, had occasional issues from day one with occasional stuttering accompanied with audio hitching. Initially I attributed this to Windows 11 and the bizarre interactions it initially had with Ryzen CPUs, and thought that it would remedy itself with enough software updates. The problems, however continued to pile on with the months, thermals running rather hot, OMEN software requiring three consecutive updates and restarts before recognizing that it *had* in fact updated, slowdowns become more frequent, strange audio hissing/chirps/pops that persisted through multiple different models of headset.
This was okay, all relatively minor and tolerable problems, but three days ago, the graphics drivers crashed and rebooted, my headset making the same sound it would make whenever a device is unplugged from a USB port. Checking the OMEN Gaming Hub software, the GPU was listed as unavailable. My mouse would stutter as it moved across the screen, audio was totally garbled and hitched constantly, doing anything on the desktop or opening any application took several minutes, frame rates plummeted. I restarted the PC, and while this returned it to a more working order, it did not solve the problems, even after driver updates. Every time the PC is booted back up, this happens all over again, and seems to be getting worse. I've spent time trying to diagnose the issue, but to no avail, at this point, I don't know if the issue is hardware or software, and no diagnostic tools are helping. Suffice to say I'm fairly disappointed in the PC, as it was an overall good machine when it was functioning.

It's a decent prebuild for the price. I've been playing Elden ring at 1440p with no lag or frame rate issues. I haven't clocked the fps though.

Needed to be completely reprogrammed with the OS from the manufacturer which they had to send on a usb in the mail since there is no disc drive and no recovery disc is included with the install.

Something is faulty and I'm tired of reading guides on how to eliminate the issues. Blue screen and reboots frequently playing games. Playing VR titles or anything that pushes the CPU will send the temperatures to 90-91C and sounds like a blow dryer. Excellent looks and build quality, just does a very poor job at cooling. Even if it didn't blue screen/reboot, I would be worried about component damage long term from the extreme heat cycles.

Typical hyped up HP garbage pre-built. Using a locked BIOS, and an undersized AIO for the 5800x. Should have returned it when I could. BB customer service was no help, HP is clueless. Cooling in this case is terrible. Blue screen due to over temp with out of the box settings. HP strung me along just long enough to miss the return window. Stay away from HP, and BB.

0 for 2 with HP Omen.

The first Omen I received was defective and had to be returned. This is the second omen that I received as a replacement. The GPU arrived unattached to the PCI-E slot and was rattling around freely inside the case. It was never screwed into the I/O bracket and the screws were no where to be found. This unit started having inconsistent performance that, after spending several hours troubleshooting, I narrowed down to the GPU. Pretty ridiculous paying nearly $2000 for a rig and the QC being so bad at HP that the GPU was left unfastened. Unacceptable IMO.

Multiple problems requiring 2nd level technical support which did not correct broken links, corrupted files, inability to install hp programs from the Windows App Store.
Geek Squad would tell me everything was fixed and how great they'd done only to find that they had not succeeded and in the latest case dumped the tech support without contacting me or calling me and while hiding the chat window in the lowest left corner of the screen where I did not locate it until an hour after the 2nd level tech had baled without succeeding in solving the problem. Called today and they had no Geeks available to finish the fix due to "technical problems".

Cpu under 70°C when surfing google chrome whaat!? Almost 90°C when playing WWZ whaaat?! I cant imagine what gonna happen if I play some triple A project. Omen Gpu. Cheap motherboard $50 or something everything from "omen". Probably you will not be able to sell this Pc non as system non as parts. BIOS oh my GOD, thats whole different story looks like excel with some information on it. Nothing can be changed on BIOS. Only from omen desktop application which I couldn't figured it out how to save the changes whaaaaattt!? Yes u cannot save it permanently its going default every time you restarting your PC. Returned after 4 days of using... Disappointed.

DO NOT BUY AN HP OMEN PC YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Bought this for 2 grand and they use a very cheap extremely low quality motherboard. It failed within the first 6 months of having the PC. Got it fixed through warranty and it's already failing again. Completely regret buying this PC, only reason I bought it was because GPU's were not available at the time. I would recommend anyone to stay away from ANY HP PC unless you want to end up with parts failing in a matter of months.

Don't buy. Known problem where instead of sleeping or hibernating, it crashes and the fan runs nonstop. After multiple "repair" attempts through company, the only solution is to send in the computer and they'll try to fix it - basically you have no computer for a while, then get a refurbished computer. Ridiculous for this price point.

As the title says, this desktop lasted two days before dying. Upon trying to run the first semi-taxing game I could play on it (Tarkov), the computer shut off. After that, the computer was unable to boot or be restored.
