Video editing, not a gamer

I am a YouTube creator. I bought this as an upgrade for editing videos, among other things. I am NOT a gamer, so can not speak on that aspect of it. It has a sleek design. The components are more than I need and work great. The power supply, GPU, and CPU are all power houses. The case, or tower, has ok airflow. The easy open glass side panel is a nice touch. The RGB lights and memory sticks are visible and add to the sleek design.
I'm not going to get all techy, however this does run hot. The stock fans are quiet but not enough. The liquid cooler is a big bonus. I did do a few work arounds to get the temps down. With the help of Ryzen Master and a fan or two, this thing is a beast for what I use it for. The SSD makes it lightning fast. File and programs open immediately. Videos render very quickly compared to my older unit. I did add two additional sticks of HyperX and had no issues. Some have reported that adding RAM is useless because the bios is locked. I believe that may be an Intel issue. I had no issue with the AMD.
I didn't give it five stars due to the extra work that was needed to get the temps down. Other than being an oven, it is great right out of the box. For a prebuilt I think it can compete very well.

Fantastic pre-built with premium parts

Summary: One of the best pre-built in the market with premium parts and decent cooling.
Pros:
1) Premium parts:
- Hyper-X Rams
- Cooler Master PSU
- WD NVMe™ M.2 SSD
2) 3060ti has great performance
3) Decent air flows with 1 front intake fan, 1 exhaust fan, and 120mm AIO liquid cooling. Fans overall runs quiet.
4) Very cool case and RGB lighting
5) The rig was well put together with good cable management.
6) The case can be easily opened for customization, though the internal space might be a bit small for customization (e.g. add more fans or use 240mm AIO liquid cooling).
7) Shipping is fast and items are mostly in stock, which is great considering the chip shortage.
Cons:
1) Even with the decent air flow and liquid cooling, Ryzen 3800x still runs HOT. You will get an average 85c temp while gaming. This is more of an issue with Ryzen 3800x. You may want to consider upgrading the liquid cooling or add more fans later on. 2) For the price they should've added a secondary drive for storage.
Neutral:
1) Pricing is reasonable, but this is definitely not considered to be a slick deal.
2) Keyboard and Mouse are meh, e-waste.

Gaming Beast/Mining King

This PC is honestly overkill for my needs. I have a 65" TCL 6 series which has a 120hz screen for 1440p which made me purchase this PC almost soley to use that 120hz refresh rate at 1440p.
It does hit 60fps 4k in Doom Eternal with max settings which I found very impressive.
In all honesty the 5600x would have been a better match for the 3060 ti but you have excellent efficiency with the Platinum 750W coolermaster PSU inside which leaves room for GPU upgrades in the future and helps reduce power if you Mine crypto when not gaming which I do, please don't buy only for mining :( not cool.
For ram upgrade. You will not get the specified speeds unless you have a very specific hyperx fury RAM model, spend some time looking on youtube and you should find it, but the 16gb 3200mhz should be plenty enough to start with and it IS RGB.
Setup notes: if you are using a TV as your monitor, make sure you are not using an HDMI 2.1 cable initially, use a 2.0 or lower cable on initial set up as the PC will need to download drivers in order to make HDMI 2.1 cable work. (or at least in my experience).
GPU stays surpisingly cool around 64C at 100% usage and CPU low 80Cs i've heard many complaints regarding the Omen's cooling capability but this variation doesn't seem terrible.
PC Stays Absolutely quiet even while mining, when playing CPU intensive games the Fan does get a bit louder.
Overall its a beast and is sure to last you some years. No reason to sell when the next generation comes out, the internal components are great, just swap the graphics cards.

This PC is great overall, runs all my FPS shooters at 120 frames or more and is not loud at all no heating issues at all almost 1 month after buying. Only issue I’ve had so far is with the sleep mode, the PC doesn’t register the mouse and keyboard when attempting to wake up from Sleep mode, basically making sleep mode useless. Other than that I’m a happy camper with this purchase and would definitely recommend to anybody who’s on a budget as it’s the best bang for your buck.

The Good and the Bad

The Good:
-Superfast when turning computer on, using the web, playing games, or for doing school work (using Microsoft Office, Google, etc)
-Very beautiful and sleek
-Graphics and videos work wonderfully
-A lot of USB ports in the front and back
The Bad:
-USB ports in the front... are a bit weird. Easy to reach and plugin, BUT there's this weird slope in front of it that does NOT allow wonky shaped or big/long USB shapes to be plugged in. For example, my cute cat head flash drive won't fit the front USB ports, so I had to plug it in the back.
-Sleep mode = freeze mode. Whenever the computer goes on sleep mode, it will freeze up and will not wake up using the mouse or keyboard. This problem happened the first day I got the computer, and still happened a month later.
Redeeming Features:
-Thank you HP Support. USB port annoyance is something I got to live with, but not the sleep mode problem! HP Support virtual assistance will try to walk you through a few methods, and if that doesn't help, it will send you to HP Support with real people. These people will either walk you through what to do OR even do remote control access, with your approval, to fix the problem. My computer can now do sleep mode, finally.
Although it was a bit of a hassle for a while, the computer functions great overall.

Impressive case for a Pre-built machine

The overall build quality of this machine is quite good for the price. Given that the current price for the sum of the parts is more than the purchase price for this PC.
This machine was easily upgraded to a 2TB NVME (Samsung 980 Pro) and 128GB RAM (4x32GB Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4 3200).
The water cooled radiator up top does a good job keeping the CPU cool under load, although the fan dose get bit loud.
The two slots for 3.5inch HDD's were not to difficult to install and although the cables were a bit tight.
When changing out the CPU, the OEM thermal paste application was quite good and had complete coverage of the CPU heat spreader.

First and foremost: as you’d expect with the specs, it’s powerful. For the price I can’t find a 5800x and 3060Ti at the moment. I use it for gaming in 1440p with a 144hz monitor and photo editing. It handles both with no issue. I play Forza Horizon 4 and average 100+ FPS on the highest settings. On Warzone I get 95-130 FPS on close to max settings. I use photoshop and Lightroom and this PC has no issues with either. Editing is far, far more painless than it was on my 2014 MacBook Air.
I spent a fair bit of time reading through reviews and there was a common theme: the 5800x runs hot. This is true. Without any sort of underclocking, and with the fans set to turbo (from the omen app) I average about 45-50 degrees Celsius at idle. When gaming, I’m at about 75-80. The most I’ve seen it reach is 81. While this is well within operating temp for a 5800x, it’s more than what I’m comfortable with, but again, for the money I can’t find these specs, so I’ll deal with it. It won’t pose serious, immediate issues (here come the attacks lol) these new AMD chips are made to run hot. Personally, I haven’t underclocked/undervolted and I don’t plan to anytime soon. I can completely understand why someone would, though. I tried some of the settings that other users posted and they do work well to keep things cooler. For example, at 1.1v and 3.8ghz (done through the omen app) the PC idles between 36-40 degrees and reaches a maximum of 70 in Warzone.
The GPU idles around 30-33 Celsius and reaches between 75-80 degrees under load. Again, higher than I’d like but it’s not “deadly”. I haven’t tried to undervolt this yet.
In my first few days of ownership, I noticed that there was a problem with the sleep function. I couldn’t get my keyboard or mouse to wake the computer up. I updated BIOS and did a windows update and everything seems to work fine now.
Another thing is that the RGB on the ram sticks isn’t adjustable. I tried through the Omen app and it just shows that there’s an issue. If someone has found a workaround do let me know!
The quirks aside, it’s pretty decent value for money. It’s well built, has some decent components, the case looks incredible (though airflow isn’t the absolute best + could use space to add more fans/better cooling), and it handles everything you throw at it. For someone new to PC’s or in dire need of an upgrade, I’d say go for it. We all know about the stock issues so it’s take whatever we can get at this point. Any other time and I would’ve probably built one. But here we are, and overall I’m happy enough with the purchase to hang onto it until the next upgrade.

In the current market this is actually great buy compare to custom build with custom parts. That is duet the GPU shortage. Based on the reviews this PC has great reception compare to DELLs (rightfully so). I will Start with the shortcomings:
Motherboard - (looks cheap) the bios is too restricted almost no setting are available. There is a limited upgradability available besides the RAM, no additional M.2 slot. If you want to install other SSD you have to use SATA or PCIe slot.
SSD it is WD but on the cheaper side of the spectrum no heatsink included.
GPU it is HP OEM with dual fan and seem cheap I feel like the back plate is coated with paper or some kind of film. The temps seem to be OK but I think they could put some more love to the GPU for this price
CPU AIO - For 120 Watt CPU single fan AIO is bear minimum and the temps are spiking over 80 degree Celsius. It is better the the Intel ones but still to high in my opinion. I used AMD Ryzen Mater to find optimal settings for my CPU. I did not find settings in Omen App to change the fan speeds which could help with the temps.
THE GOOD:
GPU :-) even with some issues you are getting 3060Ti
CPU 3rd gen Zen CPU give you great performance in gaming and this CPU market price is currently over 400.00
POWER SUPPLY - Cooler Master 80 platinum power supply is great HP did not cheap out here.
CASE - Standard ATX build can be upgraded with PC parts (DELL should learn here)
RAM - RGB Hyper X DDR4 3200 (the omen RAM overclock actually made the performance worst, not sure why)
In conclusion great PC for gaming and productivity, that can use some polishing on the Motherboard side. If we did not have the silicon shortage in think the price would be 300.00 dollars lower.

This computer is a beast! Although the case itself does have a bit of a cooling flaw. If you know how to undervolt I recommend doing it, also I recommend upgrading your case for more cooling / airflow potential. once you get that out of the way this PC is a beast! I started my benchmark before undervolting at 74-75c and ended with a solid 54-55! (At highest settings ofc since it's a stress test) And it still held onto a solid 400+ fps on Heaven Benchmark.

Great prebuilt with some modifications!

This is my first pre-built computer and I couldn't be happier...with some modifications lol. I usually do my own builds, but its so hard to get a graphics card atm. I recently upgraded to a 2k monitor and my 1060 6GB wasn't cutting it anymore, so I was looking at various prebuilts to find one with parts that met most of my requirements. I settled on the HP Omen b/c it had the best parts for the best value.
It has a WD SN530 M.2 (Around WD Blue performance) and the M.2 slot seems to only support Gen 3, HyperX RAM (not sure if its dual rank), 5800X, HP proprietary mobo, Cooler Master Platinum rated 750W PSU, OEM 3060 TI w/dual fans.
My only complaint with the PC, as others have noted is the heat. The CPU runs at 4.7 GHz out of the box and runs hot, Idle and gaming temps are 60C and 70-80C, respectively. There are a couple ways to get around this. You can change the min and max processor states in the Power Plan settings to both 99% or use AMD's Ryzen Master program with a custom profile. I also changed the stock case and AIO fans with Noctua Chromemax fans and placed an additional 120mm fan on the bottom as intake to improve airflow (FYI there's no bracket for a bottom fan). If you intend on changing the AIO fan, its held to the case by a bracket with two screws (facing the side door). Also, the front fan screw head is a machine screw, so its only compatible with certain fan housing designs like Cooler Master. With the above changes, my CPU runs at 3.8 GHz (stock speeds) and my idle and gaming temps are 40 to 50C and 50 to 65C respectively. Changing the fans with higher static pressure ones, esp on the AIO made a huge difference.
My GPU temps are 75 to 85C gaming. Adding an intake fan helped lower it by a few degrees.
Side note you can also use a custom profile Ryzen Master to get the RAM speed right if you intend to upgrade the RAM. If you don't, the RAM will default to 2333 MHz, Blame HP for that one...
Having solved the temp issue, I'm pretty happy with it. I may make additional upgrades to it later like adding a WD Black M.2, custom heatsink to the current drive, and upgrading my RAM to dual rank 32 GB...or migrate it to a new case with new mobo. But it's good for now and I'm constantly hitting 80-100 fps on most games 1440p.

All in all a pretty good prebuilt. My old PC finally had some parts quit on me, (I think there were some mobo issues, Im not gonna get into it because thats not what I'm here to talk about). I figured "I've been wanting to build something new anyways, so maybe now is the time", except, its nearly impossible to grab a 30 series card, or even a 20 series card for that matter. Ryzen 7's are also getting a little tougher to come by. Then I came across this, it had extremely similar specs to my planned build, and was actually $100 cheaper, so I picked up my first prebuilt.
*Pros: With all that said, I love it.
- This thing has some seriouisly impressive specs, and with a 3060ti and a Ryzen 7 5800x, I'm not going to have to worry about upgrading for at least a few years.
- Lights in the case look really nice, the case is really stylish
-Wifi module is better than expected (though my router is only a few feet away from my desk, so I'm not sure if it works as well at a longer distance)
*Cons
- Keyboard and mouse are worthless and sadly just serve as e-waste, thankfully I already had my own from my old PC. If this is your first PC, grab a keyboard and mouse ASAP.
-Cooling leaves a lot to be desired. Straight out the box I get some pretty high CPU temps (Ryzen 7's run notoriously hot) aroud ~53-62C under light use or when idling, and anywhere from 71-85C when gaming. These are safe temps, but still a little concerning. I undervolted the CPU from 1.375V to 1.250V using the ryzen master app, and now those temps have dropped ~7-10C (so 43-55C idle, 65-75C when gaming). Undervolting is pretty simple and I havent gotten a major drop in performance. I would reccomend doing this until you can replace the fans and/or the AIO. I'm thinking about swapping the case out once my warranty is up. Still, all in all, great prebuilt! I highly reccomend this for firstimers and veterans alike while we're in this trying GPU market.

This is my first RYZEN processor and bought the PC for the NVIDIA 3060 TI graphics card.
After prior Dell/Alienware computers and the super loud sounds I was done with those for the hype and name. So I went with HP for which I typically purchase all of my other hardware from and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY.
First the fans can kick up when loading textures, but its not near the jet engine sound of a Alienware, the lighting features are much more useful and seeing into the case is fantastic.
Furthermore, HP includes all the extra cables you need for HDD expansions due to thier cable management, so adding a 2TB SDD for my games was a 2 second process as the cover pops off, tray out and device in. The PC otherwise runs quiet, fast and very efficient.
For the cost you can't go wrong with this and VERY PLEASED with the overall qualify and purchase price. Just had to wait for the product to come into stock and the time delay to ship to store (which was faster than originally advised at the time of placement on the best buy site).
Thank you HP and Best Buy for this great configuration and product offering!

This pc is kinda quirky, it comes with alot of bloatware, but once you get rid of it the computer works great. At one point people had problems upgrading them, now i guess they did i bios update allowing other ram. I was able it plug and play some corsair vengence rgb ram that works great now. Has spare room for more hard drives and another m.2 for decent storage expansion. One down side is the lack of intake fans, it has one on the front but thats pretty much it. The rgb looks good but the omen software make it a pain to use, id recommend using a different software to control all of it.

Wow! I'm impressed. This thing is awesome. I won't rehash what everyone else says in their reviews. I just want to add that this thing made me think twice about building my own gaming rig. I was going to just rob the GPU and put it in my own build, but after examining this thing in person, I changed my mind and moved all my stuff into this PC.
Pros: Cooler Master 750W PSU! - 16GB (2x8GB) Hyper-X CL16 3733 DDR4 (runs at 3200MHz, but still awesome! - the 3060 ti scores a little higher on Passmark than most like it - The Ryzen 7 5800x is insanely fast and liquid cooled! crazy for OEM, right?
Yes, the M.2 SSD slot is PCIe 4.0! I installed a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro and it smokes at over 6000MB/s Read and 5000MB/s Write!
Cons: Slow WD SN530 SSD and only 1 M.2 for SSDs. Many other custom builds with a B550 board have 1 PCIe 4.0 M.2 and 1 PCIe 3.0 M.2. However, there is a x4 slot so you might could try to add a card for a second NVMe SSD. No AX WiFi.
This thing pumps heat out the top. So, don't put anything on it or put it in a desk enclosure. It needs a lot of ventilation!
Worth the money though! Great deal on a great PC.

Honestly for $1.7K ish this is a beast of a machine. They give you a watercooled 5800X, 3060TI and 1TB SSD storage? No complaints. HP did a fantastic job not putting crap parts in this (unlike some OEMs).
The 3060ti is a HP variant and does the job really well. The one included in mine was able to do 62M/H mining to help recuperate some of the cost.
Honestly build quality and attention to detail were great, including prerunning sata power and data cables to the hard drive bays, so if you have existing drives you want to throw in, its an easy add.
Additionally, the power supply is an HP variant of a Cooler master 750w gold PSU. its modular, a decent model and included some extra cables.
For the price - this is a no brainer. If you see it in stock and are serious about wanting a PC with a 3060ti and a 5800x and cant find the parts to build it yourself, this is the one to get.
Bravo HP, Bravo!

First, a little background, I have built and worked on computers for the past 20 years for friends, family, and myself. If the parts shortage had not occurred, I would have built my own. That being said, I read the expert reviews on the 30l Omen and decided to purchase this model. After unboxing, I carefully inspected the computer and came away impressed.
In a narrow mid tower, the computer has a see-through glass face and side panel. The power button is about 3 inches from the front on the top next to the slanted speaker, microphone and USB 3 connections. It gives the case a very sleek look. The glass side panel reveals the memory, the M2 hard drive, the liquid cooling, the fans, and the 750 watt Coolermaster power supply. Cable management is good and through the panel you can see the two extra memory slots and drive bays with SATA and power cables ready to be used.
After connecting the enclosed power cable, my monitor, my speakers, my keyboard, my mouse, and internet, the system booted up as expected. The fans were moving but completely silent and the RGB lights added to the understated, sleek look.
I noticed small perforations in the metal case on the sides for about 3 inches from the front of the case, no doubt to improve airflow. Speaking of cooling and airflow, after monitoring the CPU and GPU temperatures by using 3DMark and Cinebench, the temps on the CPU ran at 35 deg C at idle to 90 deg C while the CPU was in burst mode. BIOS on this Omen can't increase or decrease the max temp in order to overclock. High temperatures while running 3DMark (simulates a 1080P gaming session) hovered between 78 and 80. For this chip, those are not bad numbers. The GPU temp got to about 75 deg C on the 3060Ti card. Making a simple change to the fan curve on MSI Afterburner lowered the high temps to 70, but 75 would have been adequate.
After putting the computer through its paces, a process I would have done if I built it myself, and making a few changes to the speed of the fans in the case (again something I would have done anyway), I came away impressed.
The computer can be run as is and would give you a good experience. It can also be fine tuned if you're so inclined.
One mention about memory upgrades. I used the same Hyper-X RGB memory bought from Best Buy to upgrade the memory using 2 additional 8GB sticks and had no trouble running the memory at 3200 automatically. I understand some have had problems getting it to run at that speed, but that is not my experience.
I'm very happy with this purchase and it might make me consider a pre-built on my next upgrade.

The price you get for the performance is pretty good. I would be aware that this case has terrible cooling and air flow more specifically. Other than that, no problems here. I believe the gpu is also hp proprietary so not sure if you can transfer to a different mobo. Overall happy with my purchase, replaced fans and added an additional bottom intake.
