Fan broke literally the day after returns were allowed. HP costumer service was a joke. I wouldn't accept water in a desert from either company. Now its being sent who knows where for repair.

Overall, a decent machine. CPU gets to hot but cools quickly. This will be a issue long-term. Way too much keyboard flex for the cost.

Bought this and it was great, but microcenter.com has is for $2499, and they didn't honor price match because my local microcenter didn't have it in stock.

The keys feel very clikcy and not fun to type on. The laptop gets slow even while doing simple tasks and now I see my discrete GPU is not being detected. Go for Lenovo Legion or Asus. Very poor experience.

At first, I was hesitant to purchase an HP but doing a lot of research and the Omen is what i bought. I did purchase the anywhere 16 and the Asus strix 18. I returned both of those and end up getting the HP. Just gotta say wow the OLED screen is awesome. I have all all the TVs in my house and it’s kinda hard not to get OLED once you’re used to watching things on alid you’ll never go back to normal LED. First impressions is well built the RGB is very nice. I have gained for about 20 hours total on this laptop no issues. The fans can be a little loud on performance mode but wearing a headset you’ll never notice to sum it up. I think HP did an awesome job on this

Pros- Beautiful screen, keyboard feels great, runs all the games i play including elden ring, d2 resurrected, batman games and more, outlets are on the back, the omen software for tunning is good enough for me (you can undervolt things from what i can see, but i haven't done it yet), cons- no thunderbolt 5.0, have not had unit long enough to see anything else going on. I will update later if i find anything. Just purchased a 4tb ssd and will be adding it here since it only came with 2tb, unit and charger is heavy, i dont want to carry extra weight via an external hard drive.

Mixed bag, Good perf, terrible QC

Laptop is a mixed bag of amazing performance with bad design choices and unacceptable QC. First one had gritty feeling keys and keys that would stick and double click. Returned it and got another new unit, same issue with a sticking key but was only initially present on one key. Used it for a week and noticed manufacturing debris between the OLED panel and the glass on the top right corner leaving a black spot that covered about 5 pixels and in that time now multiple keys started having issues and random keys would stick, needing to be pressed down with significant force to break free. Those issues aside the performance and cooling capability of this laptop is phenomenal. Excellent performance for a solid gaming desktop replacement even paired with a 4K monitor. Temps stay low and fan noise isn't bad as it's mostly low frequency, at full fan speed it's more akin to standing next to a rushing river vs the jet engine sound of many other gaming laptops. OLED panel is gorgeous and response times and ghosting are non-existent, seriously once you use an OLED screen there is no going back. Keyboard QC issues aside, the keyboard is honestly just terrible. The layout is cramped and under sized, in fact the keys are physically smaller and more cramped than my G14 making touch typing difficult. I find myself constantly hitting keys on the number pad instead of enter/delete etc. The touchpad is also pretty bad, the physical click takes too little force, even lightly swiping my finger around on the pad I find myself clicking it in on accident a lot.
