This headset is good for console (I believe only compatible with the ps4) but not as much for PC. Pros: The earcups are comfortable. Plug and play. Appealing design and Aesthetic Good 7.1 sound for gaming. Cons: The headset is a little heavy compared to others i currently own. The headsupport band gets more uncomfortable the more it stretches, meaning if you have a big head it will start putting too much pressure on your head and ears. For PC there is no UI or app to change sound settings, when talking on discord it does not sound as crisp (it sounds like your friends are talking through a tube) Even though it is advertised to have to have noise canceling mics, people can still hear your surroundings (fan, keyboard, random noises). Microphone quality is not good, from what people have told me is that I sound the same way through the mic, as me listening to them through the headset Other nitpicks i have personally have, is that it does have LEDs but they are not RGB, when pulling the mic up and down it lags a bit and sometimes your voice can get choppy and or cut off. Overall it is an ok headset but in all honesty the price is a bit high for what it offers. I know HP has always been about quality but i believe they could improve on some of the issues this headset has. Lastly this is a gaming headset, i know many headsets have good sound quality when it comes to music but this does not (also there is no bass).

I have a big head. If you do as well, then these headphones are great. If you have a small head like my 12 year old son, or my girlfriend, these things are not going to be all that comfortable. I am enjoying the surround sound features and the arctic chill features is supposed to be cooling your ears as you wear them. I have it maxed out in the software config and can’t really tell any difference between the lowest and the highest settings so I’ll continue experimenting with that feature as I like having a cool head. The HP Omen software has an LED setting in it that I think controls the lights on the sides of this thing, but playing Fortnite with them leads to zero special lighting effects. As I don’t Twitch or live stream gaming I’m not sure this LED setting is ever going to apply to me, but I could see the appeal to gamers on Twitch and YouTube. My one pet peeve is the placement of the volume switch. It’s on the right hand ear and it’s EXACTLY where I grip the things when I’m putting on the headphones. The net result - I accidentally turn the volume either full blast, or down to zero EVERY SINGLE TIME I put these on. It’s super annoying. I just can’t retrain my hands to grip another part of the headphones. Another thing to note - these are USB headphones only so you won’t be using them with anything other than a computer. The previous pair of gaming headphones I use has a connector box that is USB but you can disconnect that box and then use the headphones with other audio systems like an iPad or a Nintendo Switch, but these HP Omens will only connect via USB. I wish these did the same. Of course the trade off is that with the other pair I have to remember to push the “virtual surround sound” hardware button on that cable every time the PC reboots. The HP Omen’s don’t have this problem. Another plus for the HP Omen’s is the length of the microphone. You can safely sip a cup of coffee or eat something while you are playing and you won’t hit the mic. Yes they can be slid up to further avoid this, but who has time for that mess between kills. Overall these are a solid purchase and I would recommend them for PC gaming.

The software you have to use locked up my system hard five times before I uninstalled it and returned them. The "active" cooling is nice on paper but really didn't work except creating condensation in the ear cups! I had to dry them before packing them back up.

    High Quality Headset

I've been using this headset for the past week. Right out of the box I immediately was impressed with the look and feel of it. The band on top conforms perfectly to your head and makes the headset super comfortable for hours on end even if you wear glasses. I love the ease of access to the flip mic to mute/unmute although the mic itself could be a bit better quality. I've seen some reviews that people were able to use this headset with PS4 but it is not compatible with Xbox sadly. I don't really sweat when wearing headsets even for a long period of time so I didn't think having the frost cap feature would matter to me but I actually love it. It really does make a difference for comfort when playing after a while. I have absolutely no complaints with the audio. It's a great choice for PC gaming and even listening to music. The lights are pretty awesome too. Highly recommend.

This is definitely a step above the rest. For starters it is beautiful, feels very sturdy and well made. I like the fact it is USB connection instead of the aux Jack cable. Sound is fantastic and muting is as easy as just raising the mouth piece up, also the red light is an indicator on the mouth piece. I've worn it for a few hours while playing mmo games and it does not feel uncomfortable at all like some other headphones. Not any negatives besides the fact I need an additional adapter if I wanna use it with my Nintendo Switch lol. Very pleased with these beautiful headphones.

Literally everything is as advertised. The self-adjusting headband portion works beautifully and never felt too tight. The active cooling made sure my ears never felt clammy or overheated despite long playtime. The flip to use mic is intuitive and reduces the need to push keys to talk. But most importantly, the sound quality - is amazing. I heard details like I've never heard before while playing games. Rebooted the Witcher 3, and re-entering Toussaint, I could hear muffled voices from buildings farther away, the bugs buzzing. Amazing. 10/10 would buy another if my current set broke.

The design and materials are top notch. Very light and very comfortable. I figured the Frostcap tech was a useless gimmick, but I actually enjoy that aspect a lot. Something so simple makes a big difference in extended sessions. I wish I could say the same for the 7.1 surround. When off, I can separate the different "areas" of the sound processing pretty easily. When I turn on the effect, the 7.1 just seems to amplify the sound. It's almost as if you are placed into a stadium. Not an echo, but a very "open" sound. I haven't decided if this is a negative as of yet, as it's going to take some time to adjust to this. But, when doing a sound test, the "areas" are much less distinct. Just an FYI. I may end up just keeping it off unless I can find the right... EQ!! The OMEN software has a fairly robust 10 band equalizer. I am tweaking away, but it is going to take some time to find the "just right" setting. If you have a good ear, you most likely can eliminate the open air effect of 7.1 while keeping the amplification. Sound quality overall is fairly crisp. Some movies can sound muddy, but a few tweaks on the EQ has helped open that up. I do appreciate all functions can be done through USB instead of a USB/3.5 jack combo. Add it to the hub! The lighting matches my mouse and keyboard...which is sidenote cool feature. So, this is a great headset if you're patient enough to tweak the sound. Good build, nice app, cool ears and good sound(if you're patient enough to tweak); Happy gaming!

This Omen Mindframe headset by all means are not cheaply made, the built quality is excellent. One thing you will notice when you pull them out of the box is they have a little weight to it mostly because of the sound drivers. However, when you place them on your head that weight is gone, they actually feel very light and comfortable when you wear them. These headsets are fully compatible with PC however they did not work with my Xbox. When you plug it to Windows 10 the system will automatically install the drivers and the Omen Command Center software. The padding on the drivers are made of cloth, they are comfy and do a very good job keeping the ambient sound out. On the right ear cup you have a volume knob which is easy to access. That knob will adjust the main volume of your pc not the actual headset volume. There is a cooling feature built into these headsets to keep your ears cooled. I did in fact encounter that my ears were cool but I found myself either warm or sweating around the padding just after a few minutes of wearing them. The sound was actually pretty good, very well balanced with deep base. I had them most of the time in level 16 for the volume as they can be very loud. In the Oman Command Center you can adjust the sound levels of the actual headset and mic. There are also settings to turn on 7.1 surround, noise cancelation and a 10 band EQ with some preseetings or it can be manually adjusted. The 7.1 was good with the games but it sounded much better with movies. Also to note that the mic is excellent but it works much better with the noise canceling Off, as it was brought to my attention during gaming sessions. There are LEDs on both sides of the headset and the mic. The LEDs colors can be changed using the Oman Command software, but only the sides LED, the mic LED will turn red when it is muted. It was pretty cool to hear a sound every time you munted or turned on the mic. The headset plugs in via USB and the cable is about 6 foot long. Overall these are great headsets, they look cool and will not break the bank. In the box you will find the headsets and manuals. Pros: Lightway Sound Comfortable Built Quality Cons: No Xbox Compatibility

After I got home setup my gaming area I went to play CoD:MW and stream using these headphones and other items I purchased. I was confronted with support telling me that How areI needed to update the software on my headset. As I was walked through where to find the OMEN command Center on the Microsoft store. Only to be informed that only Omen and HP computers can access it. Therefore I’m back at square one again. Thanks for the support at Best Buy. ANOTHER DAY I HAVE TO TAKE OFF WORK…

Buyer Beware. These worked fine with very little use from August 2020 until about January 2021 but the mic started to static and now the audio is doing the same thing with major feedback and it can be heard by all parties in discord. I tried returning them or claiming warranty but the website says "please enter a valid serial number" as if I'm just pulling the number out of thin air. None the less just save the money for something of higher quality. By the way the frost cap technology does nothing to cool your ears.

Bought this headphones about 3 weeks ago and they have stopped working. I’ve tested them the first two weeks and they worked fine, but after that week the mic stopped working. I also noticed that not all the noise was blocked when I spoke through the mic during my job. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who is looking to work remotely with this headphones. Money down the drain.

Headphones were good until the mic gave out. Now, anytime it moves it creates static noise, and drives the people I play with nuts. And, no, I didn't slam these down or anything like that (I've done that with other things, lol). Because I paid a pretty penny for these, I tried to take care of them. The mic simply doesn't work as it should anymore.
