Just to get it out of the way; I tend to avoid regurgitating specs in my reviews. That's what that tab of the product information page is for. So, if you're looking for something like that, please proceed there. I also try to give more of an experience-based review than one based solely on the aforementioned specs. With that out of the way... These things are unique in that they offer a cooling feature in the ear cups. You can definitely notice the air circulating as far as temperature goes. There is no sound interference or "wind" on your ears that annoying/distracting, just a nice cool feeling inside the cans, which is very welcome for long listening/gaming sessions. Controlling the intensity and turning it off altogether is done via the OMEN Command Center interface. If you have other OMEN peripherals you likely already have this piece of software, if not it isn't required for them to work, but you won't have any sort of control over not only the cooling, but also the lighting, sound EQ, etc etc basically every feature these have as there is but a single control on the headphones themselves, but more on that shortly. All of the materials used are of great quality, especially at this price point. While they are heavy, they aren't tiring or a burden on your head for long periods of time. I have 5 other over-ear setups ranging from $150 to $500 and while these are the heaviest they easily fall into the upper 90% percentile as far as comfort goes. Whereas other gaming setups typically have multiple buttons on them these have but a single volume knob that is a nicely weighted metal rolling wheel, nicely integrated into the backside of the right ear in color matching gloss black against the units matte black finish. This is similar to the OMEN keyboard which has a nicely finished metal volume wheel, only in that case it's a striking red that really jumps out at you. I much prefer the classier black finish in this application. And while I do appreciate the simple approach of only having that single interface point on the headphones, I wish that some other features would be controlled without having to go into the Command Center. It's a double-edges sword, but one that still exists. If you love minimal, yay! If you want multiple points of accessing key features/functions, nay! The mic lowers/raises with a solid feel, nothing flimsy about it. You definitely get a sense of quality in even the smallest of details such as this. Sound quality is better than expected for something in this sector. You tend to have a bass-heavy approach to gaming headphones and lots of treble. This is likely due to shooters and games in general having dialogue and explosions; emphasizing the speech and booms. These have great mids going on and within the Command Center you can mess with the EQ to your hearts content. There are a number of presets as well as the ability to manually set each band where you'd like. These are really great headphones, and not only for gaming. As mentioned above about these having great mids, that goes a lonnnnnng way when it comes to wanting to use these for music. If you want to have a nice set of music headphones I feel the comfort and sound quality of these could make it so that instead of having to purchase two different sets of cans, you could just snag these and have a perfectly good set to knock out both tasks. As far as the headband goes it is nicely padded and covered in a soft leather (likely leatherette) which is on a tension-based system so that it adjusts to pressure when put on and resets to a standard position once removed from your head. I didn't think I'd like this approach to fitting, but after using it as my primary listening device for the past few weeks, I can say that I hope others implement their own version of it as it is not only extremely comfortable, but convenient, too. Why only 4 stars? It takes a lot for something to really strike me as "oh my god, this product really changes the market it's in"... While the cooling feature does bring something new to the table, it isn't enough to offset the lack of multiple control points on the headphones themselves resulting in the fact you *have* to use Command Center to adjust anything other than volume. Highly recommended, some small adjustments here and there and these are a 5 star item!

So if u got an hp omen computer with the matching keyboard n mouse this completes the set. But… the microphone is crazy touchy bend it to ur mouth u think they’ll hear u clearer but after few times it’ll completely break the mic. The ear cooling feature is unique n cool. But even after reasearching n playing with the equalizer the sound just doesn’t compare to Astro a40 or even the turtle beach 700gen2. Just keeping it real.
