I thought technology had come far farther than this. I bought this as an upgrade from my 2015 Macbook Pro. I thought "finally, a modern laptop. Now we have tablets that run YouTube and multitask silently without heating up. Surely laptops are just far more capable versions of those tablets." Boy was I wrong! This thing runs hot while it's doing absolutely nothing. The fans turn on at idle in eco mode for no reason. It stressed me out! Omen gaming hub is a laggy mess. This laptop crashed on day 1 while I was watching YouTube. I'd say the one thing it did moderately well was run games with the fans on very high speed. It's like an old school supercar in a way, it can sprint very well but it cannot walk. It does well on the track but not well around town. I was looking for more of a modern supercar that excels on the track and then can also shut up and be civilized on the road. This laptop cannot shut up and be civilized. It wants high octane, high risk, high stress at all times. I would stay far away from this if you are a college student looking for a laptop to take notes on or code on during class. It is heavy, it runs hot and it makes noise. You're far better off with a Macbook. If you really have an itch for playing AAA games on a 14 inch screen and you don't care about noise, maybe check this out. Even then, a console and monitor would run you less than half the price and perform way better. If you want to game on this laptop on the go, expect 1 hour of battert. I really don't understand the point of this laptop besides looking cool. Because it does look the coolest out of all the laptops. But looking cool is the only thing it excels at. I'd pass on this one. In fact I did. After a few more random crashes I returned it. A high end laptop in 2025 shouldn't sound like my Dell from 2005 when I'm browsing the web. Unacceptable

Needed to replace my HP Spectre that was 11 years old and still worked great, except it didn't support Windows 10 any longer. After looking at the HP OMEN features and pricing, I decided to get that. Gave me way more power and memory for heavy use, AI in addition to gaming (even though I rarely do that). Works fantastic so far. I have been using it several weeks so far and love it. Crisp, clean graphics and plenty of power and headroom for my needs.

Overall this is a powerhouse for gaming and everyday use. I found the hardware components excellent, and and it played top tier games on high settings. The keyboard lighting was a bit gaudy, but can be customized with "quieter" lighting to not distract while in gameplay. I did find the USB A ports extremely tight and devices / cords difficult to remove.

Very happy with this laptop. Bought it as I was considering a macbook but did not like the limitations of windows. So far the laptop has been great. The lightness and thinness are a very nice plus, and the screen is OLED and offers great contrast and brightness. One downside would be the metal HP decided to use on the chasis, it is very prone to fingerprints. Overall, good purchase.

This laptop has been excellent for both gaming and college work. It runs demanding games like Wuthering Waves smoothly, with fast load times, stable frame rates, and clear graphics that make gameplay enjoyable even during intense scenes. The performance stays consistent without noticeable lag or overheating. For college use, the laptop is just as reliable. It handles multitasking with ease, allowing me to run productivity apps, browse the web, attend online classes, and work on projects without slowdowns. The display is comfortable for long study sessions, and the keyboard is responsive, making typing assignments efficient. Overall, this laptop offers a great balance between gaming performance and academic productivity. It’s a solid choice for students who want a single device that can handle both entertainment and everyday coursework.

This thing is a beast! Wonderful vibrant colors on light up keys. Keys feel great. Screen just shouts look at me. Gaming is a breeze for this machine. Handles everything that I need it to do. Overload on just college work. Better than most laptops on the market. Choose this one you won’t regret. Thanks Best Buy for carrying this beast. Beautiful piece of work. Only if you can afford it. It can hurt the pocket. Got a dollar?

The HP Omen 14 delivers strong performance and a sleek design, but battery life is disappointing for a laptop in this class. Even with light use, it drains quickly when unplugged. The built-in speakers are also underwhelming — volume levels are low and lack depth, making it hard to enjoy media without external speakers or headphones. These drawbacks hurt the overall experience, especially for users who expect decent portability and audio quality.

It’s a good laptop if you want to balance gaming and everyday browsing. Although the battery life may last up to 5 hours. It’s still pretty good. There is some problems where the screen will go black when I put night light on and then go back to bright light. Another issue is when I play a movie, very rarely the screen will stutter and go back. Playing games is very good. The fans are quiet and the laptop would not get hot which is good for me. Overall this laptop is a must for casual gamers who want to game and do everyday browsing.

I have been using this laptop for a week now. It’s been great thermals have been good and he battery life has been great. It lasts 8 hours on light browsing and Word. Gaming is great on it too, while not the highest resolution it’s able to play every game I’ve thrown at it.

Really good laptop and super lightweight and I do like the battery life on it as well. Just make sure to turn HDR off if you want long battery life as I noticed I only get 2-3 hours of battery while doing school work with HDR on versus 7-8 hours with HDR off. also, gaming wise I play call of duty on it and I run mw3 multiplayer on extreme settings with 80-90 fps so pretty awesome!

I got this for my daughter for her 22nd Birthday and she loves it. She said, "I'm getting Frames Per Second instead of Seconds per Frame!" She loves the portability without sacrificing performance. Its great for doing her college work too.

Overall, this is a good laptop for what I need. I’m currently in a CIS program for school, so the higher RAM and faster processing speed make a noticeable difference when running multiple applications or working on assignments. It performs well and has a clean display, but I can’t help feeling a little disappointed that I missed a sale on another model just a day earlier. For the price, it’s a solid choice, but it does feel a bit expensive for what it offers.

The best screen I have ever seen on a laptop

This laptop completely blew me away. The screen is honestly better than any TV, monitor, or laptop display I’ve ever laid my eyes on. The colors, brightness, and clarity are absolutely incredible. I was genuinely mesmerized the first time I turned it on. It completely changed my viewpoint on laptop and monitor screens. I used to think you needed a separate monitor for the best experience, but this display proves that a laptop can deliver that level of quality by itself. What I love most is how well it handles everything. Whether I’m gaming, doing school work, watching videos, or multitasking, it performs extremely well. It’s powerful, smooth, and the screen makes everything look amazing. After using this, I honestly don’t see myself ever switching laptops again. It completely changed my expectations for what a laptop can do for both gaming and school-related tasks.

The Omen Transcend 14 is a great laptop for the price. The OLED display looks amazing with rich colors and sharp detail, and the Intel Ultra 7 plus NVIDIA GTX 5060 run games and everyday tasks really smoothly. It’s light, portable, and feels premium. For what I paid, it’s totally worth it.

I purchased this laptop as my first dive into pc gaming as well as some graphic designing. I spent so much time researching different models and brands and I do not regret choosing the transcend 14. I’m only about a month in but with fairly heavy use and here’s what I’ve accumulated/experienced. Pros: -incredibly powerful for just a laptop. I hold 60-70 frames playing high end games. Intense graphic design is smooth and I never notice even a tear in functions. -the cooling system is top tier. I know laptops have always been notorious for overheating but this one seems to have skipped that stereotype. I average around 115° F and reach a max of around 150° with intensive use. -the price is completely fair for what you are getting. I was budget searching when I chose this laptop and I do not regret paying extra for something that exceeded my expectations. Con’s: -the battery life isn’t terrible but I would like it to be longer. Although I do use it for hours on end, I find that I typically have it plugged in more than not.

Love the keyboard and style. It works and it keeps up with my gaming. The only downfall is that it gets very hot. Make sure it’s vented at all times. Even the power pack for the cord gets very hot.
