Finally, we have a thin and light laptop that can edit 10 bit 422 video on a gaming laptop. I've been waiting a long time for this! It works great, and it allows me to game when I want, but also video edit and do work when I need to on a great screen! It's a great option for video editors

Excellent computer, fast and with a graphics card that meets the needs of 3D CAD projects. Good portability, lightweight, and with good battery life. I've always had Dell computers and decided to switch brands due to recurring hardware issues. So far, I'm very happy with the change.

This laptop is sleek, has a solid metal build, and doesn't weigh much. It's small enough to slide in a small bag. It has a 5070 and 32 GB ram so it's fast and plays games on high settings for 1080 or 1440p. The reason for 3 stars is, the bottom has a mesh cover over the fans. Depending how you pick it up or whats underneath, you easily bend and crease that mesh. Also, for mine, 2 of the 4 screws holding the bottom cover were either stripped, or inserted wrong at the factory. They won't come out, that is, the cover won't come off.

I had high expectations for this device. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it.
PROS:
Sleek, thin, light and stealthy chassis. Doesn't scream gamer at all and can blend in professional environments.
Great Keyboard. Pudding caps, nice travel and tactile feel.
OLED screen is great. No PWM flicker and colors are crisp and response time is FAST.
Speakers are surprisingly decent despite insufficient bass.
System was stable. No lockups. freezing or BSODs.
CONS:
Battery Life is atrocious. 4 hours MAX. Plus after a single discharge, the batt capacity is reduced 2.7% of its total capacity. 71 wHr is insufficient for an Intel system.
Insufficient cooling solution for the CPU. So high Temps.
Bloated System Control Panel.
No MUX switch.
dGPU is limited to 75W max.
The CONS for me were too overwhelming hence why I returned it.

For my first gaming laptop this thing is AMAZING, Everything to the Size and Display to the way it runs games. This laptop is truly one of the best out there, can’t wait to see it handle what I throw at it. If you’re thinking about buying it, DO IT.

I’ve been using the Transcend 14 for a while now, and overall, I really like it.
The screen is bright, sharp, and has great color accuracy — perfect for both work and watching videos.
It’s also surprisingly lightweight for a laptop with this level of performance, so it’s easy to carry around.
The keyboard feels excellent too — responsive, comfortable, and satisfying to type on.
I haven’t had any major issues so far, and it’s been a great daily driver for both productivity and light gaming.

A compact powerhouse. Ultrafast processor, excellent graphics, excellent battery life on the go. Its a great machine.
The only draw back will be is the network you are using, if it cant keep up.

I purchased this laptop to use for self-hosted AI using OLLAMA. I have been quite happy with the performance of the models executing via a docker container on the HP Omen. The NVIDIA RTX 5070 defiant meets my needs for this application.
I really like the screen size and portability. The build quality is solid and feels reliable.
The power brick is massive so you may consider a less powerful machine if you travel a lot. This is not a concern if you will keep your power pric (ac adapter) at your desk.

this laptop is good at general use, but disappointing as a gaming device. Portability and build quality is good. Speakers are crap. Screen is gorgeous, battery life is just okay. If you are a casual or light gamer, it will handle anything on the market right now, but with subpar FPS. The stock undervolting prevents the GPU from going full power and will be obsolete in roughly a year.

Bought this for my pre-teen son. He loves to game on all the typical tween games- Roblox, teardown, and call of duty- not the newest ones but ones like MW and MW2. Plus, he needed a good, reliable computer for home use since he didn’t have one and I didn’t want him to rely on the school’s provided one. So, this one was lightweight, met all his needs, and we got it on sale and used the 0% interest option on the store credit card I’ve had for 20+ years now. He loves it; it’s quick, portable, and has enough ports to plug in anything from mouse to hdmi monitor. No ethernet cable port, but who even needs that anymore for a laptop? Love it!

One of the best computer i have purchase in a very long time. I am an engineer major and this couldn’t have been any better for the programming i had to instal on it. Great memory capacity with its own built in fan and so comfortable to fit in my side bag for school. Battery life last a very long time and very quick with no glitch. Highly recommended

I bought this for HP OMEN for casual gaming and general everyday computer tasks. It has all the power that I need and is the perfect light weight laptop for traveling a leaving the house. The OLED display is amazing, IMO. I would have no hesitation with recommending this laptop to anyone that doesn't mind the smaller size.

Needed a laptop in a very short timeframe. While there wasnt immediate supply of a laptop i may have wanted more in lebanon nh, the worker was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting me a laptop and headphones that fit my price point snd needs. The laptop itself has some weird glitches of black screening for like 4 seconds every so often which might be linked to graphics switching? But it doesnt have other issues and otherwise fits the bill of a lightweight laptop that is very flexible in its use cases.

Excellent deal, and extremely capable laptop. Bought renewed and had a few reservations but product was as good as new, had to purchase an aftermarket charger, but worth the discount

Heat while gaming is as expected of any laptop with similar specs. Barely warm with other tasks. Battery life is decent for a laptop with dgpu. Keyboard is tactile and customizable with lights. Makes for a great personalization experience. Screen is sharp and vivid as expected with oleds.

I really want to love this system, but it has a few odd flaws. The first being that the mouse cursor sometimes momentarily freezes when launching large applications and/or changing browser windows. I suspect its a driver issue as the mouse works perfectly in the BIOS. It's driving me crazy trying to sort out. The next problem being the lack of a full RGB keyboard (it's in zones, you can't adjust individual keys). I didn't catch this until I'd already got the system home. Shame on me for not doing my research. The biggest issue is that HP has intentionally throttled the amount of power (watts) going to the GPU. Compared to similar systems, this machine consistently scores lower or average across the board in all the gaming benchmarks I tried. HP seems to be trying to resolve this issue with the "unleashed" mode which increases the power going to the GPU by 15watts. My last complaint is that HP is asking for way too much money for an extended warranty with accidental damage protection. HP wants $389 for three years of coverage!? I paid over $100 less for a comparable plan for my Lenovo for 4 years!
It's still a very capable machine and, assuming I can figure out the mouse cursor issue, it's a keeper.
