This is a great, fast, and reliable laptop. I don’t use it for gaming — I mainly use it for my engineering classes, programming, simulations, and everyday work, and it handles everything smoothly without any issues. The performance is more than enough for heavy software and multitasking. Battery life and speed are excellent, and the build quality feels solid. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Very nice laptop! The 3k oled panel is very nice, has alot of nice features. The only minor complaint is the fans can get loud during heavy gaming but its expected with a compact laptop.

Excellent deal, and extremely capable laptop. Bought renewed and had a few reservations but product was as good as new, had to purchase an aftermarket charger, but worth the discount

Cost Savings: The biggest win is definitely the money I save. Parking downtown used to cost a fortune, plus gas and maintenance on my car. My monthly pass is a great value, and the pre-tax commuter benefits program my employer offers helps even more.
Productivity & Relaxation: Not having to drive in rush hour traffic is amazing. I use the time on the train to mentally prepare for my day, catch up on emails, or watch a downloaded show on Netflix, which creates a good boundary between home and work life.
Staff: Most of the station staff and conductors are really friendly and helpful, which makes the morning hustle a bit more pleasant.

This machine is an excellent deal for the price. I was worried that that smaller video card would limit frames, but this system runs smooth over 60 FPS on Helldivers 2 and Dune always.

This laptop is sleek, has a solid metal build, and doesn't weigh much. It's small enough to slide in a small bag. It has a 5070 and 32 GB ram so it's fast and plays games on high settings for 1080 or 1440p. The reason for 3 stars is, the bottom has a mesh cover over the fans. Depending how you pick it up or whats underneath, you easily bend and crease that mesh. Also, for mine, 2 of the 4 screws holding the bottom cover were either stripped, or inserted wrong at the factory. They won't come out, that is, the cover won't come off.

Heat while gaming is as expected of any laptop with similar specs. Barely warm with other tasks. Battery life is decent for a laptop with dgpu. Keyboard is tactile and customizable with lights. Makes for a great personalization experience. Screen is sharp and vivid as expected with oleds.

The speed. The color. the speaker and sound is awesome. The specs are so clear. This is the best computer I have ever used. The price was little more than I wanted to spend but after using now. I am glad I spent the money. Well worth it.

This laptop is fire. For a student and gamer this is the best option money can buy. The Asus Zephyrus gets way too hot compared to this.

GPU wattage limited. Consistently benchmarks low!

I really want to love this system, but it has a few odd flaws. The first being that the mouse cursor sometimes momentarily freezes when launching large applications and/or changing browser windows. I suspect its a driver issue as the mouse works perfectly in the BIOS. It's driving me crazy trying to sort out. The next problem being the lack of a full RGB keyboard (it's in zones, you can't adjust individual keys). I didn't catch this until I'd already got the system home. Shame on me for not doing my research. The biggest issue is that HP has intentionally throttled the amount of power (watts) going to the GPU. Compared to similar systems, this machine consistently scores lower or average across the board in all the gaming benchmarks I tried. HP seems to be trying to resolve this issue with the "unleashed" mode which increases the power going to the GPU by 15watts. My last complaint is that HP is asking for way too much money for an extended warranty with accidental damage protection. HP wants $389 for three years of coverage!? I paid over $100 less for a comparable plan for my Lenovo for 4 years!
It's still a very capable machine and, assuming I can figure out the mouse cursor issue, it's a keeper.

Wanted a laptop that could play games and my old one wasn’t cutting it. Great laptop love the stats the screen is small but hdmi can hook it up to a bigger screen. Battery life is so so a few hours but I mostly use it for home use and I’m close to an outlet.

Picked this up because it was on sale. Love the form factor. Light. Graphics card is solid. I don’t play a ton of games but it does the trick. Great for video and audio editing. Ample ram and quick processor. Nice upgrade over old laptop.

The OLED screen is awesome! Battery life isn't the greatest, and the 5070 is underpowered due to the wattage, but its a 14" so you have to take the good with the bad. Overall due to the price being a bit high, I would recommend when on sale.

The machine feels like a toy, is light and portable, yet a quiet powerhouse for all my 3D and rendering design needs. RAM maxes at the 32gb it has so no upgrades, but it won’t need it. Overall it’s a great machine.

HP Omen Transcend 14 – Brief Review
|
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Omen Transcend 14 isn’t the fastest 14-inch gaming laptop, and the RTX 5070 inside is definitely the lower-power variant. However, once you know what to expect, this machine really shines.
Pros
Stunning Display – 3K OLED panel with excellent sharpness and color.
Modern Specs – 32GB of RAM and Intel’s latest Core Ultra CPU.
Balanced GPU – RTX 5070 (low TDP) that still delivers solid frame rates at medium–high settings.
Great Thermals – Surprisingly cool for its size, with CPU/GPU temps staying under 70°C in performance mode.
Performance
In 3DMark TimeSpy, I scored just over 11,000, which is impressive for this form factor. For comparison, that’s right in line with my previous Razer 14 with an 11th-Gen i7 and RTX 3080 Ti (16GB).
Final Thoughts
If you’re chasing the absolute fastest 14-inch gaming laptop, this isn’t it. But if you want a sleek, well-built machine with a gorgeous OLED screen, strong all-around performance, and excellent thermals, the Omen Transcend 14 is a fantastic choice. I’m very happy with mine.
