Customers admire the Transcend 31.5" gaming monitor for its stunning picture quality, fast refresh rate, and vibrant OLED display. Many users appreciate the decent built-in speakers and great brightness levels for HDR content. However, some customers have concerns about the large size of the power brick, glitchy KVM functionality, and the complicated firmware update process. The price point is also a concern for some, as it approaches the cost of larger OLED TVs.

Beautiful monitor with a couple quirks

I bought this open box excellent from Best buy. It didn't include the hardware to mount the monitor to the stand. I blame Best buy for that not HP. The picture is beautiful. Run the HDR calibration tool in Windows crank that color saturation up. I see a lot of people complain about the stand. I think it's fine. It doesn't swivel but it turns really easily. It raises up higher than most monitors I've had. Updating the firmware went fine once i used the correct cables in the correct ports. I've had an issue with the DisplayPort 2.1 when connected to that it's been turning my monitor off repeatedly on its own. You can drop the DisplayPort down to 1.4 in the monitor settings. After I did that it never happened again. It never happened to me over HDMI either which is how I plan to use the monitor. I noticed the rear LED light doesn't seem to work if you disable the built-in speakers, but you don't have to use the speaker so I just leave them enabled and turned to zero volume. All the 32-in 4K oleds use one of two panels, either the LG WOLED or the Samsung qd OLED. This has got the qd oled if you want the curved screen, I recommend the Alienware. That's the only curved monitor in this class. Otherwise I would just buy whichever one is on a decent sale at the time you're looking. I got this for 850 open box Excellent. If I wanted a curved monitor I would have bought the Alienware that's on sale currently at Dell for $900. I saw the display model of this on the Best buy 4. I was a little worried that it didn't seem as bright as I wanted, but that's under the bright white fluorescent lighting of the store. Once I was at home. It's perfect! So unless you're in a room that is constantly filled with daylight, I don't think you'll have any issues. This is the first glossy screen monitor I've ever owned. The picture is nice but I have kids and I just don't know how it'll be with smudges. Only time will tell.

Decide to purchase this HP monitor becauss i did some searching to find a 4K 240Hz gaming monitor that has display port 2.1 for more authentic 4K gaming at high refresh rate. Even thought its only the UHBR10 (40gbps) instead of the 80mbps. It still uses DSC but not as heavly depended, so i wanted to see if there was a difference. And boy i tell you, coming from the 32” 4K 240hz asus rog swift and the Sony M10s 1440P 480hz ( which btw has the lowest input lag currently on the market). This HP surprisingly holds its own. The picture quality by far is better then both the Asus and Sony, the response time feels great , and gaming at 4K 240hz with a RTX 5090 is just what the doctor order. This monitor is a sleeper not many people know how great it actually is. My only draw back is not having fully 80 gbps bandwith for full 4K 240hz instead it will use DSC to compress it up to 240hz. But most people wouldnt honestly be bothered by it because this monitor is that good, in conclusion easily a top 5 monitor for 2025 for gaming at 4K high refresh rate.

Great Monitor Held Back by Warranty Hassles & HDR

The HP Omen 32" OLED 4K 240Hz monitor is simply amazing in many ways. The built-in speakers are decent, though I prefer using my own speakers via the aux connection. It’s packed with features, including the ability to connect a Mac with a single cable. The picture quality is stunning, the on-screen display (OSD) is excellent, and the stand offers everything I need.
While it advertises DisplayPort 2.1, it still uses compression — but in practice, I noticed no issues with performance or image quality.
Unfortunately, I had to give this monitor a 3/5 for two main reasons:
Warranty confusion: The monitor is advertised with a 3-year warranty, but when I checked mine on HP’s website, it showed less than a year remaining. This shorter period is based on the manufacturing or retail sale date, not your actual purchase date. After contacting HP, they did update my warranty to the full 3 years, but you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get what you were promised.
HDR OLED protection settings reset: In HDR mode, the OLED protection settings reset whenever the monitor sleeps, turns off, or changes inputs. This doesn’t happen in SDR mode. I’m running the latest firmware, but there’s no fix — you have to manually re-enable these settings every time you use HDR.
Overall, this monitor delivers outstanding visuals and features, but the warranty process and HDR quirks keep it from being a perfect purchase.

This monitor is really nice, but the kvm on the newest update is quite glitchy. It’s Qd OLED so picture quality is great and black levels are inky black as to be expected, so no complaints as far as picture quality is concerned. If hp fixes the kvm with a firmware update, this would be a 5 star rating for me.

This is an Amazing OLED 4k monitor. The two things that kind of big to me, This great monitor screen does not go all the way to the edges, there is a bevel to it that makes it look cropped, (like for a movie) at times, but easily ignorable. The other issue that you cant ignore is that the screen will restart at certain time to refresh the pixels. and by restart i mean will go black for 5 to 10 minuet, this only happens after hours of gameplay and being on, you can propone it but it will want to do the refresh no matter what..
Also Be aware that if you don't have a 4k 60FPS graphics card then as much as this will make things look amazing your graphics card will have a hard time upscaling to 4k if its not meant to handle 4k.
It has all the Best features of an OLED 4k 240hz, HDR works.

Absolutely gorgeous monitor. The images look so crisp and vibrant id pick this monitor over a tv any day. Only issue ive had is sometimes fighting to detect pc source but after switching to a dual monitor set up or having to power cycle sometimes its worth it

I game on a PlayStation 5 and work on a Windows laptop. My personal laptop is a MacBook Air M1. First thing, the monitor is big, I am used to a 27 inch monitor so it took a little adjustment to get used to. I am glad it is bigger with the fan rather than the other cooling solutions implemented in other monitors. On PlayStation the colors, clarity, and vibrancy are perfect. Can't get any better than this. On my Mac, it also looks perfect so it just so happens to be a great companion for my Mac since it charges my laptop with its 140 W power delivery. Text fringing does not exist on macOS. In Windows it is a different story as Windows renders text differently. I thought text sharpness would be an issue since I came from a 27 inch 4K monitor but side by side I can hardly notice the difference. I love this monitor and I think with the discounts it is amazing value. There isn't much coverage for this monitor online but it is definitely worth considering over the competition. I did not have issues updating the software. I also eont use the kvm switch. The RGB in the back is qlso q very nice touch, very bright and customizeable.

Monitor is bright and has a lot of connectivity in the back to hook up all your keyboard accessories. Great for connecting to laptop that doesn't have a lot of usb a ports. Can also connect to devices using usb C along with HDMI and display port. The power brick is on the bigger size so that would be my only con

It is actually great, but there are 2 design problems! 1st the cord plugs in straight down from the monitor. In the form of an L-shaped plug. If you are hoping to have the cord go another direction due to cord management that might be an issue for you. The other issue that I had read and didn't understand the magnitude of was the power bank is way bigger than I thought even after reading the reviews online. Other than those 2 issues it has been great and easy to use and takes commands for shut off from my console.

I’ve been shopping around for a new monitor, ideally at least 27-inches and 4K resolution as it would need to double for school/work (my aging eyes need sharp text). After some research and jumping on a $750 open-box deal, this has easily become one of my favorite monitors ever. The sheer number of ports makes it easy to connect and switch between my laptops (PC and Mac), PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. The picture quality is amazing, but that’s a given.
Aesthetics are rather neutral and thus can blend into any environment.
Yes, it’s true the power brick is bigger and heavier than my cat. But all that power is put to good use for USB-C and the hub function
If you’re looking for a monitor for both gaming and work, this is the one to get. Being my first, I wouldn’t mind at all buying another one.

This is my first 4K OLED and it’s beyond stunning. It’s mostly used on my racing rig but the colors are great and the speakers are not to bad for when I don’t wanna wear a headset. The menus are awesome also, I know weird thing to praise but honestly makes everything else seem so basic

This monitor was absolutely amazing! The performance, screen quality and port selection was outstanding! The only things that I did not like about it is the white outline around the screen due to the entire housing be a white plastic, the level of noise produced from the fan and the gargantuan size of the power brick. Aside from those things the monitor performs absolutely amazing.

This is possibly the most best looking monitor out of some of the other OLED gaming monitors I've tried. The colors really pop and the blacks are how they should. One complaint is the very, and I mean VERY big power brick that has to connect to the monitor. Also sometimes when switching between inputs, sometimes it doesn't recognize the display port input, so then I would have to switch the monitor on and off just to get it working. Otherwise this is a great monitor and I definitely do not regret this purchase at all.

I've stuck to Macbooks for the last 20 years because I love that crisp detail on the screen. I like gaming, but I do a lot of writing and reading online for work, and I always felt like the letters on websites were a little blurry on every PC monitor I've ever used before. This monitor is the first one I've tried that can compete with the Mac monitors on that front. It's GORGEOUS, and it's also fantastic for gaming too! It didn't feel that huge in the store, but once I got it home to my desk, it felt much bigger. I love it and we are saving up for a second one to add to the game room ASAP as well!

First off i would like to thank brady at the east madison location for wonderful customer service. The monitor is beautiful and has great color and contrast. Besides the lack of swivel i still thought the base stand was made of a heavy duty enough plastic to be sturdy enough for me and probably most people. Great settings on the actual monitor with multiple gaming modes and other modes like cinema is great to see. Thanks again brady for talking me into buying and the salted and pepper bearded geek squad home theater install guy i think for talking me into it as well! Couldn't be happier!!

This is my first OLED as well as first 4K display. The picture on this display is incredible. I didn't know what I was missing and now I will never go back. I use this for work and gaming and no issues with either. Text is clear and crisp for work, while motion, clarity, and response time is amazing for gaming. For me, the extras HP provides with this display are worth the price. Internal speakers, a 3.5 audio out jack, built in KVM, and 140w usbC charging make this a package that stands out above the rest.

I am actually very pleased with the monitor. I had the Alienware 34" OLED monitor and loved it. But for normal everyday stuff and browsing, I found myself needing a regular monitor. I originally went in to get the LG dual mode 32" but all they had was an open box with a dead pixel. This was on sale for the same price so I took a chance. The colors really pop on this thing. It took a couple of days to get used to a non wide-screen monitor but now that I am, I don't think I can go back. Overall, I love it.
