After putting the OmniBook 5 Flip through its paces for about a month, I’m genuinely impressed. The vibrant, touchscreen and the 360° hinge deliver intuitive and flexible usability—whether I’m drafting emails, sketching ideas, or flipping into tablet mode, the experience remains fluid and enjoyable and comfortable.
On the performance front, this laptop handles multitasking, web browsing, and streaming with seamless responsiveness. I’ve also found the battery life to last nearly all day, easily keeping pace with both my academic workload and professional demands.
For someone who types a lot (my job and school’s note-taking don’t give me much choice), the keyboard and trackpad combo are a delight—comfortable, precise, and inviting for long-form typing. I’m equally pleased with the port selection which give me the flexibility to plug in external monitors and headsets.
Video calls shine in quality, too—the built-in camera and speakers feel solid enough for everyday meetings. Overall, if you're seeking a reliable workhorse under $500 that handles everyday tasks with ease, and this could be a perfect fit—just be ready to embrace a little extra weight.
