Just about perfect for me
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OLED screens really do make a difference in the user experience and having it on a 14” touch-screen laptop is amazing. TL;DR for those who want the pros/cons - details follow. Good: Form factor Flip Keyboard / Touchpad Camera Fingerprint Reader Touch Screen OLED WiFi 7 Storage / Memory USB-C Power (65W) Glossy Screen Bad: I got nothing Meh: No card reader AI stuff Quantity of USB-C ports OK, this is a weird one. I don’t have anything bad to say about a product. Time and time again, I say things like: “really, you went with this proprietary circle plug for an AC adapter.” Or - “No fingerprint reader?” Or: “What a weak webcam.” For this HP Flip OmniBook Ultra, it checks all the boxes for me - which I outline above but here I go with more details. The main piece: Co-Pilot AI. Unless you press the “mute mic” button, this thing listens and lies to you if you tell it to stop listening - and subsequently tells you that it won’t listen any further. The responses are fine, but somewhat limited but some basic programming tasks didn’t seem to be a problem. I’m sure some more training will get Co-Pilot into a better place but until then, it’s a bit thin. Given that, I assign this a “meh” rating. Well, that and it listens and can’t be stopped by telling it to stop. Oh and Windows 11. It’s Windows 11 and for what it’s worth in my week of use, behaved well. Another great feature that I was quite envious of with my wife's laptop - so, bend the keyboard back and have a 14” tablet. On a side not, a 14” laptop is a great size and in keeping with the tradition, they don’t try to sneak a number pad off to the side; I really do enjoy typing straight on with the keyboard. Speaking of the keyboard - it’s backlit and the typing is clean. At the top right, the ‘blue’ power button is also a fingerprint reader. At the top, are a few very handy buttons - like the calculator and the snipping tool, on top of the traditional volume / screen brightness and projector / display extender. Now, this webcam - it’s fantastic. I’ve put it side-by-side in lower light + normal light and the wide angle combined with clarity and the ability to follow the presenter is great. Since I have a face for radio, I’ll save you the picture of me and give you a kitchen image. Now this OLED screen. It’s fantastic AND it’s a touch screen. I have 2 other OLED laptops - one is touch and the other is not but they’re both 15.6” – and I really appreciate this one more; this laptop has such great color, clarity with an almost 3-D like appearance with photos and graphics. A glossy screen makes the clarity better in my opinion, but is more susceptible to glare and reflections. A pretty efficient i7 EVO combined with a 1TB NVMe and 16GB of memory (RAM) - should be the gold standard for laptops - well, the NVMe + RAM should be and this checks the box for me, yet again. On top of that, 802.11be - WiFi 7 (6GHz) - is part of the deal, is available and worth it. To wrap it up - this laptop has some cool angled USB ports, also used for power - 3 of them, so you may need to invest in a port extender to get things like USB-A and a card reader, which I do miss about this but given its size and thickness, it’s something I can sacrifice. Recommended!

Elegant and superior 2-in-1 from HP!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip is a major, major, major GO! I cannot speak for anyone else, but the keyboard and trackpad are utter magic; I would say it is a shorter travel distance, chicklet style keyboard that is Macbook Pro-like but better and quieter. The build quality seems to be the best I have ever held in my hands, super-premium feeling and lightweight. I like that there are two Thinderbolt 4, USB-C ports at each of the diamond-cut corners. The Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 256V processor is the fastest I have ever experienced by far; everything works quickly. Battery holds charge well and lasts a long time; not sure exactly how long just yet. The 500 nits of brightness is more than enough; I have poor eyesight compared to most and it's blinding if I max it out. I am bewildered why there is no auto-brightness adjustment, so I have to move it up and down manually. There is NO PEN and NO LEATHERETTE CASE as before, in case you're wondering (makes one think this is not the real successor to the Spectre X360, but it is). The 14" diagonal, 3K (2880 x 1800), OLED, multitouch-enabled is world-class, spectacular. the screen is glossy. The display has dynamic refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The sound is very good using DTX technology (vs Dolby); I suppose one can use Dolby access since it is not greyed out in Microsoft store. The notebook would benefit from not having all the Quad speakers pointing downwards. When I flip it, the laptop becomes a tablet in little time, but not quite as quickly as a Snapdragon might. It operates as smooth as silk from mode to mode. Overall, now that I think of it, this notebook is as smooth as silk! I hear folks taking about its price being high for a 16 gb HP laptop: rubbish. It is elegant and seamless. You won't be dissapointed!

Vivid, Smart and Fast!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About a month ago, my beloved 2 in 1 laptop that I had since 2018 suddenly slowed down. Or at least it felt like it was sudden. I LOVED that laptop since it was my companion for six years. Even with it slowing down to the point where I was typing fast than it could process and it struggled to wake up from standby mode, I was reluctant to believe that it could be replaced. And yet, here I am writing a glowing review for this HP OmniBook Ultra Flip. Packaging and Setup: The box that the OmniBook arrives in is simple but in a good way. You have the laptop, and the power cord. And that is all that is required. Since I already had a Microsoft profile, transferring it over was really easy. My Microsoft Office that I purchased in 2019 carried over without any issues, allowing me to continue projects that I was in the middle of. However, if you are using an external hard drive to transfer your items from your previous PC or laptop, then there might be an issue if it uses a standard USB cord. The HP Omni uses USB-C ports. You are going to need a USB-C to USB adapter if whether you’re using an external hard drive or in one of my situations, I use a USB dongle to customize my sound preferences on some gaming equipment. This is where the adapter comes into play. Sure, you can say that this isn’t convenient but as laptops are getting thinner, that means that ports are getting smaller. And I will mention that there is NO HDMI port. So, if you’re looking for device that you want to screen share onto a monitor via HDMI then you this Omni cannot help you. But there is a standard headphone jack built into this laptop. Design, Display and Performance: The HP Omni is not fragile just because it’s thin. It looks and feels sleek with its brushed metal appearance but at the same time, it is durable. The touchscreen glass doesn’t feel flimsy when you glide and tap your fingers across it. As I mentioned earlier, there are three USB-C ports. Two of which are Thunderbolt ports. They are like USB-C ports but work faster when it comes to data transferring. The two Thunderbolt ports are on the right side while the standard USB-C is on the left corner while one of the Thunderbolt ports is on the right corner. I really appreciate these locations because overall, this makes for less wear and tear on cables that don’t have to strain by being bent in either direction. The 14” screen has a vibrant OLED display. I hate to admit it, but this OMNI looks better to watch movies on compared to my previous device. The quad Poly Studio speakers provide an enjoyable listening experience. I found it odd that the speakers are located under the laptop which creates a slight muffled audio if the Omni is in laptop mode and on your lap but if you flip it to Tablet mode then the speaker sound seems wider. The keyboard is backlit and will dim when the Omni goes into hibernation to save energy. If you’re looking to have a remote Zoom meeting, then the Omni provides a 9-megapixel camera to allow you to look your best. Then the performance of this HP Omni is remarkable! Granted, my previous laptop was working off an Intel 7 8th Gen processor but even when it was at its peak, I don’t recall it being as fast as the Intel Core Ultra 7 that is under the hood of this Omni. You’re going to find that everything is buttery smooth on this device. And if you’re an artistic creator, then you’re going to have a field day with the AI assistants that are built within this device. The Copilot and the HP AI Companion provide various avenues to expand your art creativity. I won’t get into the weeds of it all, but you will spend hours experimenting and perfecting your unique vision. Does It Play Games? I play my games on consoles but there are times when I will utilize Cloud Gaming with titles like Deadspace Remake, Fallout 4 or Cuphead (a personal favorite of mine). These titles are played via the Xbox Cloud service. There wasn’t any lag, and the performance was responsive as if I was playing on my Xbox itself. The visual fidelity was solid considering that it is Cloud gaming compared to if I was playing directly from my hard drive. I should mention here that the HP Omni uses the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, giving you faster speeds to game on. It Gets Warm: The only issue I have with this HP Omni is that it tends to get warm while being on my actual lap. I was watching some videos while having Microsoft Word running in the background and the bottom of the Omni (in laptop mode) got warm. Not hot, but warmer than I am accustomed to. I cannot say if that is a note of concern, but I wanted to have full disclosure with this review. Closing: I am really enjoying the HP Omni Ultra Flip. Brilliant design, durable, fast and AI assistant tools that I am eager to explore in greater detail. While I am sad to say goodbye to my old laptop, that sadness will be a distant memory as I move forward with this Omni Ultra Flip.

Great Buy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was perfect for what I was looking for. An excellent pc, I can carry on the go. Super sleek and light makes it great to bring it with you. I was skeptical about the 14 inch display as I regularly use a 15.6 but the quality of the display more than makes up for the smaller area. Keyboard feels great to write on, but will take a little getting used to regarding the bigger keys from my previous pavillion. Battery life could be better when dealing with long zoom calls, but that is demandimg on any device. Other than that, battery life has been pretty good. Will hold for about 6-8 hours of normal word, web and general usage. The screen and portability are great for carrying into meetings. I didnt find that much bloatware intrusion as other reviewers mentioned, other than uninstalling mc afee straight from the box. Other than that my only "complaint" is the lack of other ports. You only get 3 usb c ports. A usb a and hdmi would have been nice, but a simple dongle will take care of that so it's not really that big of a deal.

Instant favorite across generations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip Copilot+ PC is simply one of the best laptops I’ve ever owned. I originally bought it for myself, but the moment my daughter saw it—she claimed it as her own! That says a lot. This machine isn’t just powerful and sleek—it has universal appeal. The 14" 3K OLED touchscreen is stunning, and the Intel Core Ultra 7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD makes everything run buttery smooth. It’s lightweight, fast, and beautifully designed in Eclipse Grey. Whether you're working, creating, or just browsing, it feels premium and intuitive. Honestly, it’s a laptop for all ages—once you see it, you’ll love it.

Lightweight and powerful laptop!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems to me that day by day we need different tools and applications to complete our daily tasks. A laptop is one of those tools that allows us to perform different tasks and be portable, besides being able to connect to a screen, a mouse and keyboard and serve as a desktop PC. This HP OmniBook Ultra Flip laptop is a versatile device with enough power to perform demanding tasks and why not also for personal entertainment. In the box comes the laptop along with its 65W usb c charger, a quick start guide and nothing else. The laptop has a 14” screen, a size that makes it very practical. The display is OLED 2.8K, represents colors very well, has a brightness more than enough, it is a touch display that responds quickly and images and videos look great, it is one of the strengths of this device. Regarding the design, it is a discreet, compact, lightweight laptop. The location of the usb c ports seemed interesting to me, the corners are a little used area and that they are in that position looks great. The edges of the display are relatively thin. At the top is the camera and sensors. On top of the webcam there is a cover to hide or show the camera, a very useful extra security feature. Speaking of the webcam the quality leaves a little to be desired, although the webcam fulfills its function and you can change some settings, you need good lighting to get a better result. This device has a 360 design that allows you to use the laptop as a tablet, that is, by turning the display completely and using it with your fingers or with an HP stylus. The speakers are located at the bottom, at the base of the laptop, it has an acceptable quality, the sound is good and complies effectively, however it is an area that can be improved. The touchpad is a perfect size, during the time I have been doing work and editing on this pc I have not had any inconvenience related to the palm of my hand accidentally touching the touchpad. The sensitivity is just right, it doesn't take too much pressure to click, it's just right, the fingers glide nicely over the surface and the shortcuts are handled quite accurately and intuitively. It seems simple but if the touchpad is not well balanced it may not be the best user experience. The battery is a section where this device performs very well. With just one charge you can use this laptop for several hours. Working on editing projects or playing a video game the autonomy surprised me, more than 7 hours straight and in less demanding uses about 10. Of course it depends on the chosen configuration and the programs used, but in general this laptop has a durable battery. The keyboard is well illuminated, has very useful shortcuts, the letters on the keys are big enough, the power button is also the fingerprint reader (which by the way works quite well), the keys sound very little when pressed and has an excellent spacing between them, it is actually very easy and comfortable to type on this keyboard (this review is being written on this laptop). Regarding performance, the laptop can handle many programs, from home office, video editing programs, photography, audio, casual gaming (not for competitive gaming), multimedia content consumption, Copilot AI, design, etc. Despite running different programs and web pages at the same time, the fans do not generate much noise, it is actually a very quiet laptop in this regard. The combination of the Intel Core ultra 7 CPU, with the 16 GB of DDR5 ram, 1TB SSD -nvme and Intel Arc graphics, make this device work quickly and efficiently. In summary, I think this laptop is ideal for content creators, students, or for those who work at home, as well as for those who need a powerful and kind of lightweight device that can be transported to different places. If you need a laptop ready for AI, with a good processor, that makes little noise and does not get too hot, with an elegant and minimalist design, that the battery lasts several hours and does not weigh much, this HP Omnibook Ultra flip laptop is for you. I can highly recommend it.

The 14" 3K OLED display is stunning—colors are vibrant, and the touch response is smooth and accurate. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor makes multitasking seamless, and with 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, performance is snappy with zero lag. Battery life is decent—easily lasts me a full day with mixed usage. The build is sleek and professional-looking in Eclipse Grey, and the 2-in-1 flip functionality is perfect for meetings and creative work. Glad I Chose This One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t expect to be this impressed, but this laptop really delivers. Everything about it feels fast, smooth, and premium. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor handles multitasking effortlessly, and even with heavy use it stays cool and quiet. It just works without any hiccups. The sound quality stands out immediately. The speakers are clear, balanced, and loud enough to enjoy music, movies, and calls without needing extra speakers or headphones. It genuinely adds to the experience. Copilot has turned out to be more useful than I thought. I regularly use it to extract information, summarize content, and get quick assistance, and it actually saves time. The dedicated Copilot key makes it easy to use without breaking focus. The OLED touchscreen looks stunning, the flip design is practical, and the overall build feels solid and thoughtfully designed. This laptop feels modern, powerful, and worth the investment. I’d confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality Windows laptop.

Great but room for improvement!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The display, trackpad and build quality are the highlights of this laptop. The OLED screen has amazing color accuracy and brightness (with some expected reflectivity as it is glossy). The trackpad is perfectly sized and is haptic, providing exceptional feedback and smooth scrolling. The weight and build of the laptop ease concerns for durabilty, with a sleek metal build and lightweight. Performance in day to day office tasks is in line with what you expect from core ultra 7 processor: snappy, quick and no lag. Charging can be done through any of the 3 USB c ports which are present on both sides. They are not all thunderbolt 4 ports nonetheless. Battery life unfortunately doesn't come close to the advertised run time with the laptop lasting 7-8 hours on <50% brightness and running day to day office tasks. It does charge quickly though! Typing experience has generally been pleasant with good feedback. As with all laptops, would advise to try in store as this is a very subjective experience. At the price point, the laptop in my opinion should provide better battery life, the pen should be included in the box and some anti-reflective treatment on the screen should have been applied. Performance also maybe a little better as there appears to be some throttling when doing more intense work.

Mini Power House
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I like most is how slim it is, the battery lasts a long time, and the screen looks great. It can even handle some light 4K video editing if you need it to. If you’re looking for more power though, you’re probably better off with a desktop that has a dedicated graphics card. Otherwise, you’ll end up sacrificing battery life for the extra performance.

The HP OmniBook Ultra is a Versatile Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think the HP OmniBook Ultra is a Versatile Powerhouse. It is a sleek and powerful 2-in-1 laptop that delivers exceptional performance in a compact, premium design. Performance: Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7, this laptop handles multitasking, creative work, and light gaming with ease. It runs smoothly even with demanding applications, making it a great choice for professionals and power users. Storage: With 1TB, there’s ample space for files, programs, and media, and the SSD ensures rapid boot-up times and seamless file access. Display: It is a looker - vibrant colors, deep blacks, and ultra-sharp details make it a joy to use for streaming, designing, and everyday tasks. The touchscreen is responsive and enhances usability in tablet mode. Battery Life: Battery performance is solid but compared to what other buyers say I get around 6-8 hours on moderate use. Nonetheless that is close enough for a full workday. Portability: It is highly portable and perfect for me since I am frequently on the go. The 360 ability adds flexibility in any mode. Noise Level: It remains whisper-quiet under light to moderate workloads. Under heavy tasks, the fan kicks in but it does not bother me. Final Verdict: This OmniBook is an excellent choice for users who need a powerful, stylish, and versatile 2-in-1 laptop with a great display. While battery life could be slightly better (4.5), its performance and features more than make up for it. Highly recommended!

Worth the extra
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried both the Vivobook and the XPS 13 in the Lunar lake line. The vivobook was almost good but the build quality was just meh. The XPS was beautiful but the keyboard is just awful. I thought I could get used to it but it's just form over function. The omnibook has been great. Touchscreen and 2-in-1 functions give me much more versatility. The keyboard is great, nothing nuts but it's just like pretty darn good. The touchpad is gigantic, probably the largest I've ever seen and it works perfectly. Screen is great, higher resolution than the others which is nice, OLED looks nice, 120hz is great. I sort of wish I had more memory but tbh 16gb gets you pretty good if you aren't using a ton. Fans and heat are almost non-existent. It got a little warm when I benchmarked but not much at all really. Fan noise during benchmarks I culdn't hear unless i put my ear up toward the bottom. Battery life seems to do great as well, though oled will definitley make it a little worse than the xps i think.

Classic example of form over function.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice looking and feeling laptop. Keyboard, and track pad feel great, very light, and the screen looks incredible. The performance is extremely good as well. However, everything else about it is at best, annoying, and at worst, a potential deal breaker. This laptop is too thin for its own good. Laptops of all things do not need to be ultra thin. If HP wasn't so worried about how this thing looks in the promo materials, they could have packed in a larger battery and more ports. Battery life is decent but not spectacular. The small 64 watt hour battery is not doing it any favors. You'll probably get around 8-10 hours of light use with this thing, which is good but far less than some of the competition. The software is insulting. From the moment you boot this thing up, it feels like HP is laughing at you due to the bloatware preinstalled (please uninstall McAfee immediately, before anything else) and the borderline useless MyHP system management software. You cannot do anything apart from suggest the laptop to go into one of five or so set performance modes. I say "suggest" because MyHP has a tendency to ignore your choice and put itself into the power-draining "Smart Sense" mode whenever it feels like it. I wanted to manually adjust the fans because the default fan profile is insane (waiting until the laptop is already thermally throttling to turn on the fans just to never turn them off again if it's plugged in) but there is absolutely no way to do that. My biggest gripe with the laptop is the OLED screen. This isn't something unique to HP. OLED looks really nice but I do not understand why there is such a push to use it on laptops. All OLEDs will burn in at some point. It is a guarantee. And on a laptop, where you commonly have static elements like your browser bookmark bar or game HUDs displayed for long periods of time, the time it takes for burn in to appear may be shorter than you would want. For me personally, I don't want to feel like I have to baby my laptop and avoid using it as I normally would; for example, if I have it docked, I like to use it as a second monitor. However, I was constantly stressing out about having static elements displayed like Discord or my background so I just turned the screen off entirely. It adds stress and makes it feel like you're not free to use your laptop as you wish. If you're comfortable with your laptop screen potentially only lasting a year or two, then OLED is for you. For me, I think I'm going to end up returning this thing to get a laptop that I don't have to worry about.
