I'm not going to say this is a terrible laptop, but there are definitely some shortcomings.
The speed has been pretty decent, but I haven't exactly been impressed. I don't expect lightspeed, but I've rendered videos and PDF's on other machines with i7's and less memory in shorter time. Again, not terrible though.
Keyboard. Where do I begin with the confusion here?!?! I'm 5'10" (not exactly basketball player height) and find the keyboard incredibly cramped. There is so much available real estate around the keyboard that I can't understand why it's not at least a little bigger. And I have no idea what the designers had in mind with this, but whoever put the power button in it's current position, where the DEL key would normally be on any keyboard, then the DEL to the left of it must have been focused on something else that I'm oblivious to. I can't tell you how many times I've accidently hit the power button and put it into sleep mode. The trackpad is roughly 50% of the keyboard's surface area. I think the trackpad could have been sacrificed a little to make more room for the keyboard.
Expansion. I honestly didn't expect much here from a 2-in-1. 32gb memory and 2TB hard drive is plenty enough for a while, but having the option would still be nice. The only internal components that can be replaced is the SSD.
Audio/Video: Audio is lackluster, but I didn't really care because I either use headphones or have it docked with external speakers. The camera can be somewhat frustrating. The lower the light settings the more difficult it is for the camera to recognize your face to login. If you're outside at night don't even try to use facial recognition. The glare can be pretty bad on this screen, especially outside.
Battery: I was pleasantly surprised by the battery. With some tweaks I did manage to get about 12 hours with typical web browsing and work with documents (for class type work). The brightness, in NIT's, isn't exactly top notch and the high brightness levels with definitely suck your battery dry, so play around with the settings for the best level your eyes can live with.
2-in-1: I bought this strictly for that reason alone, otherwise I would've bought a better machine for the same money. The only downside is that it seems to be finicky in "tablet" mode. The issue is more the size really. Folded over and 16" screen is just very awkward and heavy and the keyboard seems to irritate me for some reason when folded over. I do love the tent style configuration though. The Microsoft pencil/stylus I had for my SurfaceBook 2 seems to work just fine, although I've had a few nuanced issues with palm touch trying to use it. Full disclosure, I have not bothered to tweak any settings for palm touch because I just don't use that functionality very often.
Overall person opinion: If you are strictly looking for a 2-in-1 then this is pretty functional device for that use case. If you are considering this model based on the specs alone you might be disappointed and probably better off looking at a different form factor to get the most bang for your buck.

Alright, check out the HP OmniBook X Flip 16"—it’s a seriously impressive piece of tech. The first thing you'll notice is that screen: it’s a big, gorgeous 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate, so everything looks amazing and feels incredibly responsive. Under the hood, this thing is a total beast, packed with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 chip and a huge 32GB of RAM, meaning it can handle basically anything you throw at it without a sweat.
The coolest part is its flexibility; that hinge swings all the way around, so you can flip it from a standard laptop into a giant tablet whenever you want. Plus, it’s ready for the future with the newest Wi-Fi 7 tech for blazing-fast internet. It's got a solid, premium feel thanks to its aluminum construction, and surprisingly, the battery just keeps going. It’s a versatile powerhouse that looks great and performs even better.

I purchased the HP OmniBook x360 16-inch for my college work, and it has exceeded my expectations. The large 16-inch display gives me plenty of space for notes, assignments, and online classes, and the touchscreen is very responsive. The 360° hinge is one of my favorite features—I can use it in tablet mode for reading, tent mode for watching videos, and laptop mode for writing. Performance is smooth even when I’m running multiple apps and browser tabs at the same time. The battery life easily lasts through my lectures and study sessions, and the laptop is still light enough to carry around campus. Overall, this is an excellent device for students who need performance, flexibility, and a premium feel.

This HP-OmniBook X Flip is so close to being a phenomenal laptop, but has several challenges for me when it comes to using it. First and foremost, the initial set up was a headache! It took an hour to get it fully ready to go, over an hour of Windows, HP, Bios, firmware, and hardware updates. Very annoying when you are ready to start working with a new laptop and want to get some work done.)
The keys on the keyboard are the largest I personally have ever seen on a laptop, and are a challenge to use with my smaller hands. I know you can get a USB keyboard, but it's a laptop and having a nice keyboard is helpful on the actual device. (I also prefer a 10 key numeric pad on my computer, as that is helpful when doing spreadsheets.) After finally getting it set up and set to my preferred settings | had spent around 2 hours, which is way too much for a new computer set up in this day and age.
The screen resolution on the HP-OmniBook X Flip is beautiful! I love the fact that I can flip the OmniBook and watch movies or TV shows when it is in the tablet mode. The 16” display is perfect when I have multiple windows open and gives me plenty of viewing area to multitask. The onboard speakers are clear and sound great if you’re watching videos or doing a small presentation for work.
The OmniBook is whip fast and can keep up with my MineCraft playing😀, data entry doing, photo editing, tv watching on the go with no issues at all.
You have options for peripherals for the computer with two USB-A, one HDMI, one USB-C, one Thunderbolt port, and a headphone jack.
Overall this is a powerful sturdy and beautiful laptop once you get all the updates and customization done. I do enjoy using it and am happy to have it in my arsenal of tech.

I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I powered it on, the performance has been incredibly fast and responsive. Multitasking, streaming, and creative work all run effortlessly, even with multiple apps open.
The design is sleek and premium. The Eclipse Gray finish gives it a modern, professional look, and the 360° flip feature adds real versatility—great for switching between laptop and tablet modes. The keyboard is comfortable and quiet, and battery life has been solid so far, lasting me through a full day of use.

This is the best Laptop I have ever purchased. HP never fails me. Physical appearance is sleek & classy. Super thin. The setup was quick. As I used it throughout the day, I noticed the speed and power it had. The 16-inch screen is beautiful. Colors vibrant. The 2TB SSD is the wow factor. Will have no trouble with storage needs. I am super happy, and it's hard putting it down. I got it at a great price; believe me, I was watching this laptop for a little while, hoping I could get a good deal. Best Buy responded.

10/10 would buy again. Here’s the deal, I was replacing my old MacBook, and wanted a windows computer to replace it. I always like the premium feel of the Mac, but hated its processing system. I spent 2 weeks looking at every review and feature to look for, and this laptop overwhelmingly came out on top. This laptop in every way surpasses the Mac in terms of performance, as well as premium feel, and just in every day use. It amazes me how seamlessly it can switch through functions and apps, even with a bunch already open. I also notice that the buttons and keypad feel very tactile, and it’s very noticeable when you press each button, this was a big gripe with my old Mac, that it always felt like I’d skim over the keypad and had to double check whenever I typed. I didn’t think I’d care so much about the screen until I’ve used this computer. The OLED screen is unbelievably vibrant and in every application it’s been so beneficial. My girlfriend currently has a Microsoft surface high end laptop, and after using mine, she’s already made her decision to get one of these too. My brother in law is a computer guy, significantly more than me, and he was very impressed when I showed this off. Hard to beat 32 gb of ram, a brand new processor like windows ultra core 9, 2 TB of internal storage, OLED screen etc etc etc for this price point. I also managed to get a brand new in the box open box special, so I walked out for just under $1,000. If I had paid 1600, I’d have still felt like I got an excellent laptop that was worth the price.

This is exactly the kind of laptop that I was looking for! I love the clean and minimalist design; the laptop is a bit heavier though, but I do not see it as an issue. There are multiple ports, which is rare for the latest laptops. The laptop is pretty powerful in terms of RAM and SSD storage, plus it has a long battery life! Overall, I do not regret buying this laptop at all!

I’ve been using this laptop for a few weeks and it feels solid. The screen is sharp, the colors look clean, and the brightness is good even in a bright room. It loads apps quickly and switching between work and browsing is smooth. The keyboard feels comfortable and the battery lasts longer than I expected. I mainly use it for school, dashboards, and regular daily work, and it handles everything without slowing down. No issues so far.

This is an excellent machine, fast and look at the specs, just top of the line laptop to me. Setup is easy and fast. 4 stars because of BestBuy's policy. I purchased the laptop on a Friday for $1149 ($380 off) and 4 days later on Tuesday, the laptop was on sale for $999. BestBuy has a price match guarantee, which means, if BB lowers the price, they would match. So, I went online into the chat, but they could not do it, since I already purchased it at a discount. They even advised to order new for the lower price and return the one I already purchased. So, that what I did. I think that is not cool, had to do the setup again, which isn't a big deal, did factory restore on the other one and will return the first bought laptop this weekend. I think is just a waste on BestBuy part, they now have to sell an open box for a much lower price. But it seems that is their business model

So far, very pleased. Once you go OLED, it's hard to go back. Intel flagship EVO Ultra 9 Proc, 32GB Memory, and 2TB NVMe (Gen4 x 4) are all performing well. In launching one of my intense applications, this laptop was faster than my 10600K Desktop by 35%. Out of the box, it has all day battery - crucial for me. I have it in smart charge mode (80%). Best part is that I got all this for $1K.

Great specs for the value. I bought this Omni x when it was on discount. I was between this and a MacBook Air and I am glad I went with this laptop. Display is great and 32 GB ram with the intel 9i cpu will help keeping this computer for at least 5 years doable. Be careful with the hp pen if you buy one, it will scratch your screen. Also this Best Buy model does not come with the pen.

This HP OmniBook X Flip has been amazing so far. The OLED screen is gorgeous — bright, sharp, and makes everything look great. It’s super fast too; apps open instantly and multitasking is effortless. The build feels premium, and I really like how smooth the hinge is when flipping it into tablet mode.
Battery life easily lasts me through the day, and it runs quiet even under load. Overall, it’s a perfect mix of performance, style, and versatility. Totally worth it!

This laptop was only okay. It wasn't the screen I was hoping it would be. I ended up returning it and I'm not sure I like the one I bought afterward all that much. The HP was nice and has a decent amount of RAM and storage. It has the Intel core ultra 9 which makes it fairly responsive.
Bottom line for me is that I needed something with a bit more power to handle some larger programs. For me, Im still on the hunt.

This is a great option if you’re looking for a fast and reliable laptop!! The OLED display is rich in color and has excellent contrast. I Love how it intergates with my other windows devices with device sync. I recommend getting a wireless mouse but i have no complaints about this excellent device! Perfect for everyday users and for students on all levels with 32GB of ram multitasking is easy, smooth and efficient and 2 TB of SSD you will never need an external hard drive or storage device!

Excellent performance, great specs for the price. It's tough to find an OLED laptop with a decent CPU, Ram, storage combination for a reasonable price nowadays, and after a couple months of searching, I always ended up with HP as one of my final contenders for a new laptop. And this was it. It's speedy for everyday tasks, video entertainment. I can play some lighter games on it, and the battery lasts a reasonable 6-ish hours at middle brightness and sound doing mixed browsing, streaming, and some work.
The real issue I have with this laptop is the keyboard. I wish the keys were spaced out a bit more. Response and actuation are good enough for a laptop keyboard, it's just that I am still misspressing keys due to the tightness of the layout. Small issue but it is noticeable during normal use.
Anyway, personally I think the star of the show here is the display. The OLED is gorgeous and colors and black levels are incredible. It makes for great movie watching. The 2-in-1 flip feature has also been very useful when I need to prop this up like a tablet display.
This laptop is one of the all-time general purpose greats. Highly recommended.

This laptop does everything I need it to do. I use it for home and at work both. I decided on the OmniBook X because I thought the Intel Core Ultra 9 32GB/2TB for Less than $1,000 was a good value that would perform well for several years. It also feels like it's made well. Nothing feels "cheap" about it to me. I don't find it to be too heavy. If anything, it feels sturdy enough to make the daily commute without fear of cracking the screen or casing by handling it wrong. The hinge feels very durable and stiff (in a good way). I haven't used this for gaming at all. However, it seems very smooth for streaming and Zoom meetings. I don't think I have gotten 18 hours out of the battery but I'm sure Zoom draws a lot of power. I can't compare it to my old laptop because that was so old I usually just left it plugged in. The keyboard is a little awkward for me personally. This is probably because I am used to a keyboard with a number pad on the right. I didn't take any stars off the overall rating for either of these because I believe these are user specific.

This laptop is just what I needed. It's lightweight, the battery life is perfect, the screen is clear and the touchscreen features are exceptional. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking to purchase a computer because of its reliability and speed. I do not regret this purchase at all.
