A responsive PC. My first venture into solid state drive. Not as quick booting up as I would have thought it would be. Silent when powered up. Lightweight case. I downgraded to 4 stars because the power button and the DVD drive buttons are so tiny they are difficult to find and push. The power button is particularly annoying. The wired keyboard and the wired mouse reach new lows in cheap. I'll use mine on my old machine to transfer files and then I'll throw them out. I suppose for the money I shouldn't expect much more.

Over past 3 years I have owned two Dell desktops ordered directly from Dell. I thought I would get a better operating system from the manufacturer. Not true, they both had to be sent back to Dell for repairs twice within the first 4 months and I spent several hours on the phone with support. I decided to try HP, but asked the Geek Squad for an affordable unit, just in case it turned out to be another 18month disposable computer. I love my HP Pavilion, it is quite, fast and trouble free...so far. I have only had it for 2.5 months, but that is already better than Dell's track record.

I don't have any complaints about this desktop computer - except the Windows 10 software. I wish there was another good option. I prefer Chrome, but Windows 10 tries to trick me into using Edge every chance it gets. The McAfee "free" security slowed down the computer so much that I had to uninstall it before the trial period was over. The computer itself has more than enough SSD storage for me. The SSD responds faster than my old hard drive, but not as fast as I thought it would. There might be some start up settings that I can adjust. I've read complaints about the on/off button being hard to see or push. It is almost flush with the case, but it's better where it is than on top as in the prior configuration (my old Pavillion PC). Several times I laid something on top of my old PC case and inadvertently shut it down in the middle of my work. I only have one complaint but it's not unique to this PC. It also happened on another HP computer that I tried recently. If I leave something up on the screen when the monitor goes to sleep, then return and wake up the monitor, the page is frozen. I have to click out on another tab and then click back in to wake up the page. I spoke with WIndows support and HP and neither had a solution. This doesn't happen with my old Pavillion running WIndows 7 or my Dell PC with Windows 10.

Most 1 star reviews I would agree with because of the frustration of setting this up. But with a LOT of patience and tending. You have to update it ALOT before it will operate properly. After I spent the entire day updating all the programs etc it started to run like it should. You think it is stupid until then. I just about pulled out my hair trying to get it to work until I finally updated everything. Has worked fine since.

Very easy install. Fast and super quiet. Plenty of connectivity along with the DVD burner.

Fast processor and no HD makes it even faster. Only used for email, web browsing, and pic storage. Perfect for what we use it for.

It would have been nice to have the cd drive on it flat side not like it is now, It would be easier to load. and a little bigger power button would give it 5 stars if they could have gotten my old drive out of my old HP computer and the program to the new computer also. The Geek Squad HAD PROBLEMS getting stuff to the new computer Not very happy about not getting old programs to the new computer

What's to review? Hooked it up, turned it on, I get email, google and Facebook. The rest I have no clue what all of it about or for. It's not smoking so I guess it's OK. I am far far from being Tech Savvy. I've been told by all so far it's a good one.
