I like the amount of stuff you get for $469.00. Like a fast OEM Samsung 960EVO 128GB SSD, 1TB Western Digital Blue full sized 3.5" Hard Drive, Bluetooth and dual band wifi, 8GB of fast enough DDR4 ram expandable to 16GB simply by adding another 8GB stick, smallish size, and the long forgotten DVD drive....really a lot of good, useful tech for the money. The downsides are the same here as every other review of this series. There really is no excuse for the low end 180 watt power supply, it's simply under powered. At least it's a standard size, so replacing it is easy enough...but you shouldn't have to do that in the first place. The included keyboard and mouse are basically throw away items, not really usable in any capacity...but I guess it's better than nothing till you get better. And expansion is limited by the smallish case, only the most compact of video cards will fit here---if you of course replace the power supply first...

Price was reasonable . Came with Windows 10,Geek Squad loaded up drivers for various devices, set up me email. and made a recovery disc, At home Windows started giving me trouble wouldn't operate correctly. I took it back to best Buy and Geek Squad tried to reload everything. Said computer was defective and wouldn't load up Windows 10 correctly. They exchanged the tower and everything loaded correctly. I have had it now for two weeks and am satisfied with it. I am basically computer illiterate and not a gamer . The load up speed and operational speed is faster than my old computer. I am getting used to Windows 10 ( I had Windows 7) and all my peripherals operate correctly.

I purchased this computer from Annapolis 2 months ago. To my dismay, I awoke 2 days ago to a computer saying "Preparing Automatic Repair" and it stayed this way for hours. As this is my primary business computer, I was naturally in a hurry to get this resolved. After hours were spent on the phone with HP to have a Recovery kit sent, I attempted to repair this piece of junk. This resulted in calls to support while they walked me through repetitive steps. Now they say it'll be 7-9 business days before I have a replacement sent. I called Best Buy looking for some kind of speedy assistance and they told me "our return policy is 30 days". Do yourself a favor, stay away from HP products (this isn't the first product of theirs that has failed too early). I hear Acer is great and Amazon's return policy is second to none!

I bought this computer to use as a media server in my home. I can stream my videos on any of the TV's in my house. I have my entire music catalog available to me in every room of my house including outside. As for the computer I removed some apps I did not want. I set everything to save to the 1TB drive instead of the SSD. The machine starts up and shuts down quickly. It is not a power house but it runs well. I have had no issues. I am not a gamer so I do not know how it would work for gaming. My purpose was to set up a media server in my house. This computer helped me do just that. I gave it 4 stars for the ease of use, the performance, and reliability.

Bought this for my wife as a present. I sure didn't know it didn't have any speakers built in. She opened it, was very excited! I set it up for her, and lo and behold, no sound! I spent several hours trying to figure it out, did online help from HP, TWICE, yes TWICE! They advised me to input credit card information to get a broader range of help. Nope, I was headed back to the store to get a different one, when my wife wanted to try her headphones, then she tried an old speaker set, YAY! sound!! IF I had only known... spent hours trying to figure it out. That said, it works very fast, great colors, everything she needs. Now she loves it.

Even though it only has a small 128GB SSD, it helps make the performance of the machine go faster. I would recommend saving to the SSD drive, kind of pointless they put the SATA Drive in the machines. Least it helps with space and the fact it has 8GB of ram makes it a good machine. Great speed and performance, but wish HP would change their Bios checking, you have to go into the setup and check what Version of the box you have, they should just list this on the box and make it simple to download the correct one. I bought a bunch of these for clients already and nice when they have them on sale vs full price

I gave up using anything HP several years back but so I nearly missed getting this one. It's fast, easy to set up and use, but best for me is that pricewise, this was a GREAT deal for my really limited budget. The other huge pluses for me are that it accepts older and newer peripherals. It means that while I slowly upgrade storage, tv's, monitors, sound systems etc, this desktop can handle it. Plenty of memory, storage. It's also a relatively small footprint and aesthetically, I like not having another black void in my tiny apartment. Oh yeah, and it has optical drive for DVD.

My desktop died. I have a notebook but some of the work I do requires more. I am a "dinosaur" so I needed another desktop. The reps found me a great tower, priced right, did the entire transfer under my Geek policy. I am so happy to be back up and working on items I thought were long gone. The rep was concerned about speed but I told him my first computer was a Timex Sinclair with 1K of space. He was kind as he didn't know what I was talking about. Love the geeks, love the store reps who helped me find the best. 4.5 stars. Only thing keeping it from a 5 is having issues connecting my wireless mouse and keyboard.

What you getting: A powerful workstation Ample storage w/ a bonus of a SSD. More than enough ram A quad core 3.6 GHZ processor (Intel has really stepped their game up this year! with a modest amount of port selection. 4 USB 3.0 on the back. 2 USB 3.0 on the front and a type C port as well. Overall the computer boots quick due to the SSD. This was placed in an office environment with the use of quick books in mind and it works well!

Had to Upgrade from Windows Vista

Had to get a new computer, my old HP Windows Vista worked fine but no longer supported. Love how fast my new HP Pavilion 590-p0054 is, but disappointed with the keyboard & DVD/CD burner, they seem "cheap". The DVD/CD burner is sideways & difficult to load/unload & worried it may break. Adding to the cost, you have to buy MS Office separately. It comes with a limited hard drive space on the SSD, so I changed my pictures & documents settings so they are now stored to the larger 1TB Hard Drive.

First off....I have the tech savvy of a cinder block and I mostly use my pc as an internet browser and to buy stuff on Amazon etc but I absolutely love the speed of this solid state pc which seems to have zero start up time to boot up. To be fair, it comes with a mouse that's so dinky that I'm still using my old one AND I may start using my old keyboard again because the symbols on the new one aren't as bold as my old one so I gotta use reading glasses.....not a big deal though.

HP - Pavilion Desktop - Intel Core i3 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive + 128GB Solid State Drive - HP Finish In Natural Silver is a cool desktop but the limited hard drive space on the SSD is kind of annoying. You have to save everything to the "data" drive to avoid taking up space. This irritating especially when you are installing programs, etc. The keyboard that comes with it feels like it will break at anytime. Beyond that though, the processing and speed of this computer is great!

Things I like about this computer: 1. It starts up quick. 2. It can accept another internal hard drive. 3. Has a relatively small foot print. Things I do NOT like about this computer: 1. It only has 8 USB ports, and only one of which is a SS type. 2. The mother board could only accept one additional port for the installation of 2 additional USB ports. 3. The sideways dvd/cd drive is difficult to load, and it appears flimsy in construction.

This is an excellent everyday computer! I use it to surf the web, check emails, and even play some games that my old computer didn't have the graphics capability to handle. Its very fast overall, and startup is incredibly fast thanks to the static drive! Plenty of USB ports, and it includes the DVD R/W drive that many other models don't include. The only down fall is the integrated graphics, would have preferred a graphics card, but for the price you can't beat it I guess!

Easy to set up, went flawless. Went to hp and updated bios and other programs. easiest bios update I ever did, just don't turn off the computer. This thing is lighting fast compared to my old computer, do to the ssd drive. This is no advanced gaming system, but is a perfect computer for surfing and daily use. I got a certified open box for another $30off. Use well worth it everything was there and working, I am very happy.

I was so excited to hear that the SSD computers were on the market that I felt it was time to upgrade my slow hard drive computer. This computer is fast. I push the power button, type in my pin and in less than 10 seconds I'm at my desktop. Software loads fast. Depending on your internet connection, web pages load fast. I am super happy with my new computer. What a time saving device.

I sure like having everything working again. Had to switch out the old for the new. Being an old guy, & not high tech, I don't do a lot with my computer. However, it's supposed to jump when I "click". It works so much faster and better with the extra hard drive in it. The price was right, too! It's just too bad that everything can't be transferred from the old to the new, but that's "RESET".

I set up computers for my office often and this one is by far the worst. Constant connections issues to the internet and server. I've had a hard time waking it up several times and had to hard re-boot twice which made me lose unfinished work. Also intermittent issues with speed and programs shutting down randomly. It has been fun to deal with. Feel like I got a lemon. ??

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't think to look at the floor model to see if it had a DVI port to attach to my monitor. It didn't. Has VGA but pass. So I bought a monitor too. Quite a bit of bloatware getting me to use software I don't need that should be free anyway and some of it is free that's installed already like Windows Defender. Not too impressed with what I got, but it'll do.

This is my 3rd HP and I am just as happy as I was with my first one. The staff at Best Buy & Geek Squad are fabulous to work with as well. They took time to explain to where I totally understood no matter what question I asked them. This HP is perfect for what I needed. I have Hughes Net provided for internet and with this system life has been beautiful. I am super pleased with my purchase
