Very good computer, but if you look to put a say, GEFORCE GTX 960 graphics board in it. Forget it. The box is too small. That common in several new computers, thay making the boxes too small to put big graphic card in them. Oh, by the way the power supply is too small to run the card.

I have bought three of this same model PCs and on two of them I have had a Thermal Event problem. It's not constant event, It's a random error. I don't really want to return this PC because from the specifications it looks and runs really fast. However, that thermal event is something to consider. By the way, one of them I had to return and get a new one because it never turned on. Seems like the power supply was dead even before the first use. I don't recommend anyone to buy this PC.

Computer starts and re-starts VERY quickly due to the solid state drive. Processes run quickly and everything I have done so far is smooth and error-free. Chassis is light and fairly attractive and has decent connections available. Comes loaded with some bloatware like HPs do, but not terribly onerous. The wireless mouse and keyboard are convenient and connected without a hitch, but the whole thing feels pretty minimalist. The keyboard has a very limited footprint and the power supply is reported to be underpowered (which doesn't affect me) but everything works well. Then there is Windows 10... can't escape it, but it is a step down from previous versions for an office environment to me. Overall a good product, but limited in expandability and not super quality construction.

For a low use pc this is a great little desktop. I bought open box for 525.00. For that price it's hard to beat. If you're looking for gaming or maybe a CAD system, keep looking. Primary SSD is too small, power supply is too small. Graphics are weak. For light home use (music, MS Word, net surfing) this is still a great little unit for what I paid. I can only recommend at the price I paid. Full retail is too much. Pay a bit more and get more.

I got it on sale for $555 out the door. It had a little too much crapware from HP, so I installed a fresh copy of windows and updated with the latest drivers from HP and Intel. Bios also had a very recent update which I installed. This is not a power house PC, but it runs very well for the average user. The 128GB solid state drive could have been a little larger for today's needs for larger applications running along side the OS, but since this wasn't for me and was for a very light user, it was a great option. The additional 1TB hard drive was a great way to make sure backups were happening frequently rather than not at all. 12GB of memory may not be running in dual channel, but it's a good amount for a light user and will not need upgrading anytime soon. Can't complain about the speed and efficiency of the i5 8400 six core processor it came with either. Powering on from power off state took me to the logged in desktop, ready to go, in 30 seconds. The built in graphics are weak, and the power supply is even weaker. If you decide to upgrade the power supply, be aware it's not a full ATX size, so it's a little inconvenient if you plan to put in a larger graphics card that needs more juice. That's the only reason for a 4 star rating over a 5. I'm rating this on what I got for the price I paid. I'd recommend this PC to light or average users if it's on sale. Currently it's sitting at $719 on bestbuy.com, which is more than I'd be willing to spend.

OHHH, and because I already hear you all out there going... get a new Power supply. You cant, its a HP Proprietary unit that they do not make anything more powerful of. I know 4 days 30 People and a hug pain in my ...... talking to hp has let me know. Ok, So The thing is a ok streaming computer and I use OK lossly. first off the thing is way under Powered for what they put in it to start. After Running bench mark Test on it for over a mounth and using it. I have found that if you hook up more than 3 Externals to it with out a powered USB HUB. the computer has issues starting up. the video card will not run at full power because the Power supply is way to small 180w lets you run the computer but nothing else. Even though the thing Has places for more stuff inside. You cant even get a sata hard drive to load. Let alone use the PCI 16x slot for a video card. Bench mark test so that this computer while running World of warcraft on graphic settings 4 uses all available power and you can still only get 15 to 20 fps. will not even load pubg at low setting with out glitching most of the time and that was with it right out of the box. nothing but pubg installed. This computer Only has one saving grace. The Processor is socket. so I can just use it to move to a new mother Board. where I will just need to buy a new case and Mother board, On top of the 700 plus for the computer, 250 plus for video card, and 160 for the ram chips I got already. But hay, the add and sales people all said this was upgrade able and a great intro gaming rig. LOL :(((((( Over all if you need this to do anything big time, Gmaing, editing, recording. This is not your computer.
