Overall great processor for a single screen HDMI monitor setup paired with an HP 27" monitor. However I needed three monitors requiring a larger 2 bay aftermarket video card. This does not have the power unit size or bays to support a multi screen setup so be aware.

Computer starts and re-starts VERY quickly due to the solid state drive. Processes run quickly and everything I have done so far is smooth and error-free. Chassis is light and fairly attractive and has decent connections available. Comes loaded with some bloatware like HPs do, but not terribly onerous. The wireless mouse and keyboard are convenient and connected without a hitch, but the whole thing feels pretty minimalist. The keyboard has a very limited footprint and the power supply is reported to be underpowered (which doesn't affect me) but everything works well. Then there is Windows 10... can't escape it, but it is a step down from previous versions for an office environment to me. Overall a good product, but limited in expandability and not super quality construction.

Best purchase I've made this year so far. I am not an expert in computer at all. When I want to buy a desktop I gotta do lots of research to have a generally idea of what is what =]] So for those that are amateur like me, this HP desktop has a SSD that simply makes things you do faster, I am able to turn the computer on in less than 30 seconds as well as turn it off in about 10 seconds. My computer at work took literally 4-5 minutes to turn on so this is super impressive to me. The wireless keyboard and wireless mouse are also a plus to this purchase. Although I did not know how to put battery in the mouse, I finally saw the instruction printed inside the box. Another plus is that it is light weight. Although the size is not too small, I can definitely tolerate that.

    Great PC - Meh Keyboard

Let me lead off by saying I love the computer. I'm not a gamer, I just needed a computer for general purposes; email, web browsing, streaming and some word processing. This PC has more than enough horsepower for my needs. It's fast and responsive, with the SSD, booting the PC is incredibly fast. I've connected it to my television with an hdmi cable and the graphics are incredible for my purposes. It did take a bit of adjustment to take care of overscan but that was the television and not the computer and the adjustment was applied only to that specific hdmi port. I'm using the wifi to connect to my network and the wifi is awesome. Although the gateway and pc are on different floors, the computer is able to connect easily to the gateway and takes full advantage of the dual band ac gateway, the speeds are incredible and the connection rock solid. Now the keyboard. The keyboard is a very odd size, extremely narrow and with the keys a nonstandard size. I just couldn't use it for typing without constant errors and miskeys. I had a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse with my old computer and I switched out the HP keyboard for the Logitech one. Frankly, the poor HP keyboard is the only reason I downgraded what would otherwise been a 5 star review.

I got it on sale for $555 out the door. It had a little too much crapware from HP, so I installed a fresh copy of windows and updated with the latest drivers from HP and Intel. Bios also had a very recent update which I installed. This is not a power house PC, but it runs very well for the average user. The 128GB solid state drive could have been a little larger for today's needs for larger applications running along side the OS, but since this wasn't for me and was for a very light user, it was a great option. The additional 1TB hard drive was a great way to make sure backups were happening frequently rather than not at all. 12GB of memory may not be running in dual channel, but it's a good amount for a light user and will not need upgrading anytime soon. Can't complain about the speed and efficiency of the i5 8400 six core processor it came with either. Powering on from power off state took me to the logged in desktop, ready to go, in 30 seconds. The built in graphics are weak, and the power supply is even weaker. If you decide to upgrade the power supply, be aware it's not a full ATX size, so it's a little inconvenient if you plan to put in a larger graphics card that needs more juice. That's the only reason for a 4 star rating over a 5. I'm rating this on what I got for the price I paid. I'd recommend this PC to light or average users if it's on sale. Currently it's sitting at $719 on bestbuy.com, which is more than I'd be willing to spend.
