I bought this computer for my wife and she really loves it. I can't really say how good of a computer it is for gaming because it is not used for gaming. It is very fast and I love the solid state drive.

I bought two of these computers for my kids for Christmas at a huge discount. Nice looking machine with a lot of extras. Setup was easy and my boys are happy with the way the PC handles games. No complaints.

This Gaming PC is fast right out the box. It takes a lot to impress me, This PC and the price killed it. The monitor was on sale and was a decent upgrade. HP did good! Best Buy did good!
Thank you!

I bought this due to the price point. It is easily upgradable in the long run, and functions smoothly upon startup. Great purchase.

Overall, this is a very good computer. As expected, it suffers from issues related to Windows 10, but you can't blame the computer for that. Be sure to set Windows to performance mode or you'll run into the second hard drive going into sleep mode constantly, making it take forever to display your drive list.
My biggest gripe is the DVD drive. DVD drives are very inexpensive, so why they'd install a very low quality drive in this computer instead of a good one for very little extra cost is beyond me. The drive is flimsy and it has a lot of difficulty reading burned disks. I have many disks of pictures and slideshows and in most cases, I can't read the disks on this drive. It doesn't even spin up the disk. Instead, it just clicks. If you try to reinsert the disk enough times, you might get it to read the disk for a short time - perhaps long enough to get some of the data copied - before it goes back to just clicking.
The computer works very well with playing games. You have to manually set the graphics in most games to high because the graphics card apparently can't be properly read by many games and so the games default to low graphics settings. But I've maxed the graphics on many games and the games play fine. Note that I haven't yet tried on really high graphics intensity games to see how well it fares. It will probably be mediocre on the better games, but that's expected.

I was going to do an all AMD build to take advantage of the Ryzen APU. I would have had to step down a tier in APU (Ryzen 3) and GPU (RX570), or skip the graphics card entirely to get near the price of this pre-built.
The Win 10 license in a home build is cost prohibitive when you take into account that Microsoft considers you the OEM and get no Windows support.
I bought it for my daughter to mostly run WOW. She gets 60 fps running max graphics without the fans even kicking up.

Overall the HP - Pavilion Gaming Desktop with AMD Ryzen 5-Series CPU, 8GB Memory, and AMD Radeon RX 580 is a good performer. It has both a 1 TB hard drive and a 128 GB SSD drive built in. The only complaints that I have pertain to the connections. It only came with HDMI video output so I had to change monitors. Some of the USB ports are 3.0 which tend to shut down when transferring large files which causes the transfer to hang.

My grandson loves his PS4. But I got him this deck top to do home work. But he has stop with the PS4 and he is using his computer for gaming now. I know its still a new toy (computer) and maybe the new will wear off and he will go back to Ps4. But he is getting use to the computer and how to move around on it. We are in the world of computers. If you don;t know how to work and move around on a computer now and even more in the future. People and the work force will leave you behind. So get on board with a fast computer and learn.

Performs up to specifications thus far (2 months). Arrived without owner's manual, had to find it on the hard drive. Aside from the 40 pages of printing to get a hard copy, it was delivered in good shape, although I chose a factory new version as opposed to a reconditioned, specifically FOR a hard copy manual, it is obviously not worth the bother to pursue the grievance .

bought this for my baby brother as a gift. he wanted to build his own but I figured that they could do it better and when asking the guys at best buy for a recommendation they said this one was pretty legit (speed) and otherwise for gaming. Baby brother loves it. Uses 2 screens but complains of a bit of lagging but I'm guessing it is a wifi issue not a computer issue.

This was a great value PC for the money. It's been extremely long lasting for us, as well. I've upgraded the SDRAM and its made all the difference in the high action sequences in online 3D action games, shooter games, etc. It's great to have a mini tower with extra card slots. Lots of USB ports on the front for quick plug and play. Great poor man's gaming PC.

I bought this for my son, 13, who enjoys Skyrim and Oblivion. His laptop just couldn't handle the strain. The setup was easy and he was playing within 1.5 hours of opening the box, even after the Windows updates. So far he hasn't had any lag or video problems, no freezing of the games at all. I had actually priced doing a similar build from parts, but for the price and convenience I couldn't beat this machine.

PC runs great on pretty much any game, can occasionally drop frames or stutter if used for super long periods of time (I experienced stutters after about a 21 hour long session) I'm not exactly a PC guru but it seems the case gets a little hot on top as well, never bothers me though.
