Unit gets very hot, Audio issue, Great Size

Started out great, but then the audio software continued to uninstall itself. It was not anywhere in the drivers. I got help from others and searched for hours online to find out the problem. Ended up downloading new software to get any sound to come out of it. This happened multiple times usually before a zoom meeting and it was very frustrating. Now the volume is very soft even when all the way up, and this may have to do with the new audio software. Screen could be brighter. Needs more USB ports. Unit gets very hot very fast and is uncomfortable to use while resting on your lap, my legs are on fire!!! Also it gets fire hot when in my backpack, unless I power it off and on every time before transferring it. After one year of ownership I frequently find unit to be powered off by its own doing. I am required to enter a BIT LOCKER Key to unlock my computer. This is very annoying and time consuming. No idea why this would continue to be necessary. I am a full time college student and use this computer for 6+ hours a day. It is a good size and is lightweight. I would not buy this model again, due to the hot to the touch unit, and I would like a bigger screen that gets brighter. I also want something with better audio software. For school it gets the job done.

I bought 2 PC for my daughters at 9th 10th grade that are taking class virtually from home die to the covid-19 this was a great option and deal , I get both for $399 + tax each delivered at home for free. My daughter love the way is a 2-1 pc / tablet easy to work with and touch screen, fast boot up , I get extra 256 gb memory from thumb drive , so now they have 512gb, plenty of space. This PC is highly recommended for any teenage student.

Bought this laptop almost 2 months ago and now it will not power on. It was used for basic daily use, Surf the web and update resumes. That’s it nothing else. No apps downloaded and no Big files saved. One day I was using for about an hr closed the laptop for about 2 hrs when I came back to use it it would not power on. I Connected it to the power source and all it did was get SUPER hot. Will be calling HP tmrw for a solution. Did give 2 stars because when it did power on it was sufficient for daily use.

This laptop is just amazing. Super light and super quick. Turns on in a flash and works perfect for my son who is in middle school. He plays minecraft and roblox so the laptop can handle some light gaming. It is so comfortable to use and move around and has a nice feel to it. Perfect starter laptop for a student.

I got this laptop on the 26th of December and from the day I got it, it acted up. The screen would just go blank while i’m using it and at first it lasted for like a second but now it goes up to 30 seconds. It’s gotten progressively worse and worse and it’s only been about a month. I’m going to return it.

The HP Pavilion x360 offers students a great performing touch screen laptop with a nice price for the parents. The 10th Gen Core i3 processor with 8GB of RAM is more than enough horsepower for your kid to get his/her projects done. The 128GB solid state drive assures fast startups. The SD card slot can provide extra removable storage, if necessary. It has one USB Type C port and two USB 3.0 ports for your USB drives and docking stations. I'm knocking one star off the rating because it comes with Windows 10 in "S" Mode - which means that you can only install apps from the Microsoft Store. You can switch it out of S Mode, but you have to create a Microsoft account and get the app to switch out of S Mode. You can then download and install programs that are not in the Microsoft Store. It also unlocks programs like Microsoft PowerShell, which may be needed by techies. In all reality, this is no different than Apple making you create an Apple ID and locking your iPhone/iPad to their app store. But PC's always had more freedom to do whatever you wanted, so this was an unwelcome change. Just go to the Microsoft store and search for "Switch out of S Mode" - it'll autocomplete because it is so popular. ;)

I bought this laptop because the pandemic is making it difficult to work anywhere but home. I now have so much time on my hands, that I have also decided to go back to school. I have only had the laptop for a few days but i love it already. I've put it in tent mode to watch Netflix in bed, and I've put it in tablet mode to draw a few pictures. Although its a 14" laptop and I'm used to at least a 15", i didn't feel much of a difference and i am still able to type with no problem. no cramps or anything like that. The screen is very responsive and I haven't noticed any lag yet. While i have multiple screens up, it stills runs pretty smoothly. I tested if the screen could handle multiple screens swiping in different directions and it was very smooth when it did. I had YouTube on one screen and Hulu on another and they both played simultaneously, down to the sound. it made it very confusing to listen but it's nice to know that one screen will stop for the other to work. Overall, this laptop amazed me. I cant wait to see what else i havent figured out yet.

Unfortunately my laptop broke right in the middle of Covid; so this was the only one available in the store at that time. Since I was working from home couldn't wait for one to be mailed to me (also too many packages have been crushed for me to trust them getting it to me without damage). It is fast; but I won't be able to keep a lot of photos on it. I bought a hard drive so that I wouldn't lose my data/photos. There are some features that I would like to have; but since I needed it quickly this will do for now. Will be upgrading in the future. It does work well for it's size. I would recommend it for a beginner laptop. It is light weight which is a bonus.

I bought this for my granddaughter who is starting kindergarten, and doing a lot of virtual school work. With a standard laptop the first couple of weeks were horrible. How does a kindergartener practice writing letters on a standard laptop? I was lucky to find this in stock, and it makes all the difference in the world. Now she can watch the teacher, see educational videos, and flip it over as a tablet and write her letters and numbers on the touchscreen with a stylus. This is a night-and-day improvement in her education! I can't recommend it highly enough.....10 stars if I could. The computer was so easy to set up, basically just turned it on, answered a couple of basic questions (like setting a password), and it was up and running. No technical help needed.

I am an existing member of the HP-Pavilion 360 family and I knew that I would be satisfied with this laptop also. My first one has the Intel Core i5 and the dual core i3 works just as good. I will be homeschooling my children and need 3 dependable and affordable laptops for them. The touch screen is a luxury. Don't forget to go through all of the settings and change them to whatever is best for you and you family. Privacy and Security triumphs in my home. With all that being said; I would like to thank Best Buy online for making this Laptop available right on time.

This is my first laptop So I don’t have much to compare it to. I just needed something for work that was reliable, functional and on the more cost effective side while maintaining A bit of quality. I haven’t yet utilized all its capabilities but So far it does what I need it to. The touch screen has come in handy. the touchpad I can use easily- no mouse needed. The battery life goes fast but that could just be a laptop thing. Screen quality is great. I’m satisfied with my purchase and have recommend it to family members with school aged children learning from home.

This was a purchase that was needed. The computer being used in this office was old and extremely slow. Long overdue for a new computer. We really liked how easy it was to install the updates and getting started setting up all of the applications. Widows is making it easier and easier to start using a new computer in less time. The computer itself is user friendly and fast. Even though it has 128 GB, the new Intel Core i3 made up for the difference. The keyboard is also very welcoming to the touch of your fingers. Nice computer!

I've had this laptop for a few days. I have to say, I actually enjoy it. I first purchased a Chromebook but the programs I run for my second job require Internet Explorer. Therefore, I returned the Chromebook for this device. I actually really like it. Downloading Microsoft 360 was easy and it was a smooth transition. I also like Chrome for personal browsing, Gmail, Google Drive, all things Google. I noticed that the program (Microsoft 360) made me aware that it had to switch out of S Mode. I have to read more about that but I just had to click a few buttons and I was able to switch from S mode and download Chrome. The display is beautiful, I'm able to use it as a tablet with ease, and the battery life lasts almost two days which is great for me. I toggle through a lot of programs all at once. The only reason I took off a star is due to how much noise the computer fans make. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad as my work Laptop (Provided by my Full-Time Job) and it barely makes any noise. It also doesn't get as warm. This HP is replacing my 7-year-old Acer Aspire Time LineX. That Laptop also did not get as warm nor did it make a significant amount of noise. Overall, I would recommend this laptop!
