Great laptop for myself and high school student. I’m in college and love this laptop and so did my son so I got him one too and now my wife wants one. Easy to use and love the touch screen option. A really good mid-range computer. Battery life could be a bit longer but otherwise, very nice computer.

I've been looking at this laptop for a while and when it was discounted further with the student discount, I jumped on it. Great performance, lightweight, great battery life, and I love the backlit keyboard. May upgrade the memory down the line but I'll wait and see. You can't go wrong with this laptop.

This is a great 2 in 1. It does everything I bought if for and does it well. It is used in a teacher role and also in a student role and I am very satisfied with it's performance. I'm not a sophisticated user and it probably does alot more than I use if for. I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely love this laptop! I immediately upgraded the RAM and have had big performance improvements so far. The screen is bright, mostly color accurate, and sharp. The touchscreen responds quick and is very intuitive. The keyboard is easy to type on and the backlit keyboard is a nice touch. I dont, however, like the battery. HP suggests 8.5 hours of battery from mixed use, but i find that i get between 5 and 6 hours from just web browsing on chrome. If you decide to get this laptop, i would highly suggest upgrading the ram as i did! The clips on the back are poorly designed and break easily but if you start from the left corner (charging port) and use a knife/ pick instead of a credit card to open it, its easier to not damage the clips holding the back together. Overall, this is an amazing laptop and even without the extra upgrades it is still a very good performer. This is awesome for basic use and light gaming with the 11th gen i5.

What can you say the numbers speak for the computer.
The Intel 5 and the 8 Ram works really good. Computer is fast and responsive. Touch Screen is very good as well. Love the size!!!
Not to big and not to small. Do not use the 2 in 1, I assume it is good also.

This laptop is a value purchase. The kids use it for their online education. The specs are great for the price. It’s very fast and easy to use. The fans can get a bit loud when it’s getting hot but that’s a minor issue.

I am in love with SSD and would never go back to a traditional hard drive. The speed cannot be beaten. The computer is also well designed and the touchscreen very responsive. My one complaint i that the keyboard can be hard to read even with the backlighting, But overall I am quite pleased.

I've had this laptop for a little over a month, so I think I am able to leave a decent review...
I purchased this laptop for college work and with hopes that it will get me through my first few years of teaching. It is sleek and light. It fits just perfectly in my Coach purse. I love that it has a backlight keyboard with different settings. A full battery can last me a whole school day (~8hrs). That includes hopping off and on Zoom calls all day, running 5+ tabs, and occasionally opening Word or Power Point. I LOVE that it is a 2-in-1! It helps when I need to use my screen as a "board".
My only complaints would be: I can definitely tell when the fan kicks on. It is annoyingly loud. The bottom of the computer does get heated quickly, but so did my other laptops.
It couldn't detect my microphone, which made me have to plug in a USB Mic. I ran tests, but it could not give me a solid answer as to why it was doing so. I eventually had to restart by laptop and allow it to update.

I am overall happy with the laptop and especially with its price. Fast and very responsive touch screen. What I don’t like much is the battery life- it drains fast! I purchased another HP Envy 7 months ago and its battery life is much better. HP improve the battery please!

HP Pavillion laptop is a winner

This HP Pavilion 14” laptop replaces another HP laptop that was about 10 years old. I didn’t know you’re supposed to get a new one about every 3 to 4 years. I guess mine lasted long enough and I hoped to find one that could at least last half that time. The laptop has all the latest features like: fingerprint reader so no delay in getting things started, touch screen, backlit keyboard, long battery life and slim light weight design that makes it easily portable around the house as a “bigger tablet“. It’s fast but any current laptop would be, compared to what I had before. Another plus was the fact that you can add ram and storage to increase the speed and storage of this laptop as time goes by. And you know I like that by how long I kept my last one. What sealed the deal was the Black Friday price where I saved $250 which made it the perfect choice for me as no other laptop could compete.

The overall speed is good storage light on storage, only 256gb. I purchased this thinking it would be better than the pavillion of the same specs as the one I returned at walmart except this has all aluminum build. This one has a bigger battery but it just eats through it, only 4 hours tops, I got 6 on the Walmart one. Fingerprint reader is nice. This one being thinner than the walmart one runs hotter and the fan is higher pitched. Ultimately returned it for an MSI ge66 gaming laptop with rtx 2070 super, way more power and better battery life.

The fan is sometimes rather audible during use. The i5 might be a bit slow so maybe get the i7 (30%-50% i5 CPU usage with a few Chrome tabs) Here's a breakdown.
HP Pen - The HP pen isn't fully compatible with the laptop, you can't get the HP pen program but it works as an active pen. If the point is ~1 inch away the two buttons will work but not any farther.
Build - A little heavy but manageable with its smaller size. The laptop feels sturdy with good materials.
Keyboard - Feels good. My wpm weren't slower moving from a mechanical keyboard.
Trackpad - Feels good. I haven't had any issues or discomfort using it. The spacing and layout work well.
Screen & Hinge - Looks great and has good viewing angles. Plus it's a touchscreen. The hinge works well in normal use and switching from laptop to tablet mode.
Camara - Decent. Nothing special but it will work. There's some skipping when recording your movements.
Speakers & Mic - The mic is pretty good and the speakers are decent.

Thanks to Covid I Bought two new computers for my Daughters this HP and a Dell - Inspiron 14 7000 2-in-1 - 14" Laptop,AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB SSD . So far we had to have the HP replaced due to a charging issue ,not with the cord ,but software ,So Best Buy was very nice and just switched it out with a new one, instead of trying to fix the old one and have my Daughter without the computer for school. And the new new one so far has had zero issues. I do like HP computers,I have had good luck with them in the past ( I have one that is 13 years old and still kicking ) so I was taken back with the issue with this one. I will say that I feel this computer is worth the price, It is actually more computer than my Daughter needs for school. But with having to Zoom and watch video instructions this computer performs great. it is a excellent machine ,even if I had to swap it out.

Love it! Color is glamorous, size is perfect not too small but conveniently fits in my purse. I've heard people complain about the loud fan I've yet to hear that, so far computer runs quietly. I love the illuminated keyboard when I'm on a dark red eye.

I got this computer on a Deal of the Day and I would say it was a good purchase for the price. I bought to use in school since everything is online at this time. The only downside it is the battery life which is one of the worst I have seen so far and that's why I gave 4 stars.

Nice laptop with a touchscreen and the ability to use tablet-style. Lightweight and a good travel machine. Speed and storage is great for home use and backup machine to the main desktop machine.
I thought it was a good value compared to others.
