HP Prime is decent

The HP Prime is less intuitive than I had hoped. I was surprised to see that the programming language that they had chosen was Pascal. This language was the one that I originally used in many of my college programming classes; however, I am not clear on why they would not choose a newer language. In any event, I would recommend this calculator only if required for a class by the teacher or if you have much time to figure it out.

I bought one that was super glitchy and I thought well it is a calculator. But i noticed how bad it would get! I was disappointed because i actually liked it but eventuality returned it and orderd a TI. Does anyone else glitch and should I give it another chance?

NOT An Engineer’s Calc

(Usage history- 15c, 48gx, 50g, 35s) This abomination doesn’t know if it’s a PDA or a calc: (1) on a calc, the interface is thru keys, putting fingers on screen confuses the user (2) the switch between numerics and CAS confuses the user, makes it essentially unusable (3) rechargable battery life unknown, on other calcs, just have another set handy (4) key color scheme is hard to read (5) gone are HP standbys like assignable keys and expandable memory (6) forget using any programs from previous models. To sum up, this machine panders to kiddies used to TI machines. For engineers and other scientists, start collecting the older models.
