Customers are impressed with the print quality, ease of use, and simple setup of the Smart Tank 7301 printer. However, some customers have experienced connectivity issues, slow scanning speeds, and difficulties with the paper tray. The small LCD display has also been a point of concern for some users.

I have a small business and we print quite a bit of paper work and needed something that was high quality had all the functions I needed. So far, the only drawback that I am finding is when I scan double sided documents, I have to add a page and scan it again, unlike other HP printers that I've had where you can say it is double sided and it will scan both sides without having to reinsert the page. But, overall, it's a great printer and does what I need it to!

Great quality print! Took me a while to get used to it! Biggest drawback is the plastic paper drawer. Had the same issue on my previous HP printer.

Overall good printer and very cheap colored pages! The only few negatives: quite loud and slow and sometimes it glitches. This is a second one since the first one was flawed and had it replaced before the 1 year manufacturing warranty.

This type of printer is new to me and has ink reservoirs vs ink cartridges. They are supposed to last a few years which is just extraordinary and will save money and frustration. I’m loving my printer and always get HP printers. I’ll never have anything but an HP!!!

I LOVE this printer. Colors are good, it’s quick; set up was super-easy; footprint is reasonable; and I’m looking forward to reduced ink costs. Takes a minute to learn the meaning of the readouts and still trying to figure out how to copy from printed pages rather than a device, but seems pretty simple compared to my last hp photo printer.

Great printer so far. Easy to set up and get working. Ink filling is also easy. So glad to ditch the overly expensive ink cartridges. Print has been excellent.

Very good printer. The colours are very vivid and the ink system makes for a very, very cheap cost per page. Only downside is that both printing and scanning (ADF and flatbed) are very slow (but high quality!), though it shouldn't really matter if it's a low-use home printer. Wouldn't recommend for office use because of that.
The HP Smart app is laggy but feature-packed and overall very nice to use. The Google Assistant integration is hit or miss but when it works it works well. We've also had no driver issues whatsoever with any device.

Good for the home office after about of month of use. I really liked getting away from cartridge-based printing requirements and this was a satisfactory alternative. Filling the ink was easy and mess-free. The scanner and document feeder work without issues and printing is as good as expected for the price. You do have to rely on using HP’s app from time to time, but that was not a big adjustment for our purposes.

Nice, clean print. Small footprint. Good scanning. Overall, very happy with this all-in-one. I have never liked the HP software but the newest version does work much better than it has in the past. It is still annoying being funneled through subscription and ad services, but the setup was pretty seamless. Ink install is a little messier than with the Epson printers. A little expensive for what it is compared to cartridge-based machines.

Purchased this printer to replace my Epson Eco-Tank. The HP is printing better than the Epson ever did. This printer quality and speed have so far surpassed my expectations.

Much quieter and less noisy than my old HP printer. Print quality is exceptional and I like not having the cartridges like the old one had.
Only thing that wasn't wonderful was the set-up. I tried for a couple of hours to get it working and had to call for Geek Squad to come out and get it running. Per the Technician I had done everything correctly but on some HP printers they have to upload Firm Ware before it will work. If the sales rep had advised us of this I would have been much happier and the Tech would not have had to come to our house.

Replaced HP 8600 with this printer which is more compact with similar functionality and should yield savings on ink costs over time. Hope the life span will be as long as HP 8600.

This is my first printer with a tank vs cartridge. I was very careful filling the tank and putting the heads in. It was not too difficult. The printer is fast and works well.
