Excellent Purchase

After researching the options we settled on the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 because it has all the features we wanted in a printer. It was easy to set up and has performed well so far. Waiting to see if the new way to refill the ink will be an advantage and save money.

There were multiple places to look for that information. But, it became confusing on which direction to get to what you need. I'm having a scan problem, it has not worked since I purchased the printer.

does not actually print double sided on its own.

Also while setting up initially I had to pull some plastic pieces out to put the toner things in then it sometimes makes a weird rough noise while printing. everything still works so far. after only two months.

uses ink cartridges

The specs say NO CARTRIDGES. When it arrived, it had two cartridges. I'm unable to send this back because Best Buy has messed up the pick up and won't straighten it out. I REALLY LIKE BEST BUY but this order has been a mess.

This was not readily apparent in the specs. Additionally, once the paper from the outout tray has been reinserted so that the backside of each page can be printed on, the command to continue printing is found only on the computer, not the printer display. This is very inconvenient when the computer is located on the opposite end of the house.

Always printed with various spots empty. Also was shutting down so we had to physical turn it on before printing.
