The laptop itself looks and feels amazing but the screen unfortunately has a screen door effect that looks patterned close up. Apparently people speculate that this is a common problem among OLED with pen support as the pattern is supposedly coming from the pen digitizer and the OLED panel that everyone sources from has this problem. Hopefully next year models will have this fixed. At more normal distance most people probably wouldn't see the pattern but since I use the laptop up close it is quite distracting and so I am returning it.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old HP Pavilion laptop with numeric keypad and am totally happy with the Spectre. I signed up for the Geek Squad help in transfering my old files to the new laptop, including 5 years of tax returns. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this laptop.

Build quality was pretty good (similar to Dragonfly). Screen quality was awesome however returned the laptop because it would constantly freeze. Not sure what the issue was.

Outstanding product, easy to use and technically contemporary

This is a well-crafted computer, but the grid-like pattern on the screen surface really detracts from the visual appeal, especially on light backgrounds. Its performance is not stellar, but it gets the job done for everyday office tasks. The battery life is decent, though there aren't any standout features compared to other Ultra processor laptops

Great HP laptop. The screen is crisp and bright and the keyboard is smooth with a very fast boot-up!

Reasonable build quality but the seams don't line up properly on the one i received. The power indicator is on the keyboard facing up and the indicator cannot be dimmed or turned off when the computer is on. This is an issue in a dark room and the only solution is to cover the indicator (and fingerprint reader) with a piece of electrical tape. There is no option to disable this indicator in the BIOS unless HP releases a new BIOS. I have reached out to HP on this issue and received no response. Sound quality is decent, the hinge is good, and the keyboard has a nice feel, but there is no mapping for the pause/break keys. Battery life is acceptable.

My HP Spectre works very well, but it is very sensitive to anything that comes close to a touch. Like a wave. It can be frustrating when you are typing out a paragraph and the curser has a mind of its own. It is easy to use and sets up quickly.

Ordering from Best Buy was Smooth, and arrived as advertised. It was perfect I love the HP Spectre 2-in-1 14" OLED. This model and configuration was a Best Buy Exclusive and at a fantastic price.
