Excellent PC. Great screen, sleek design, and fast. I'm on my laptop all day with about 20 windows running simultaneously, and this PC can do the job. It's portable, but because of it's size, weight and the size of its charger, a Mac is probably better if you have to take it out everyday.

I do some light video/photo editing and it is fast! Faster than my older Spectre from like 7 years ago. Battery life is pretty good at around 11-13 hours or so give or take depending on what your doing. Little bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you're planning on keeping it for a long time.

So far so good. Its about impossible to find a large screen 2n1 with 32g and rtix gpu. So far the only thing i don't like is the large touch pad, which i dont use because the screen is touch and the positioning of the keyboard seems off because im always starting one key over although this could be down to my use of a different keyboard for so long. However this computer is handling my 3d animation superbly.

Honestly, I'm torn. On one hand, this laptop is fast. But the keyboard leaves so much to be desired. Granted not many laptops this size have a numeric pad, but the printing on the keys this has make it look like it was designed for use by a first grader! They're HUGE.
The touch screen is nice but the failure to include a SmartPen is another indicator of cost savings at the expense of usability.

Very powerful. Could use another USB A port otherwise it needs a Thunderbolt 4 dock to make full use of its potential. Excellent display quality.

Good processing power, bright screen, good graphics capability in a surprisingly slim frame.
The large touch pad is a bit sensitive and is taking some getting used to when typing.
Could use another USB port or a card reader.

Very powerful laptop. The rtx gpu makes render heavy tasks managable on the move. The display blew me away visually. If you want a powerful touchscreen laptop for creativity, this is it. I also bought a touchscreen pen online for fine details.

HP did a great job with this laptop. Snappy machine with a Core Ultra 7 with an adaptive high-resolution refresh display.
Plenty of room to upgrade if you're comfortable opening the machine, bottom cover comes off with four Torx screws on the bottom - easy to swap the WiFi 6E card with a WiFi 7 card (the Intel BE200NGW works perfectly with drivers from Intel!), and the SSD is easily upgradable as well (hidden under an adhesive cover). I put a 4 TB SN850X in mine to store games and videos.
Time will tell on durability but initial impressions on this machine are great!

I was on the search of trying to find a good computer for college. I planned to go into computer science so I needed a powerful computer. And let me tell you about this one. Oh boy do I love it!!! It’s very fast and runs so smooth. I was testing it when I first got it and I ran a live wallpaper in the background, was on a zoom meeting and typing an essay on word and I checked the diagnostics and I was only using 6% of the CPU’s overall power.
Ultimately, this is a great computer and it runs everything for programming languages like C++ and Python great, also runs online games such as Tekken 8 and Fortnite at crazy fast speeds. Would recommend for anyone who is wanting a computer that will do anything!

This screen is gorgeous and is easy on the eyes when on the computer for a while. Didn’t think I would use the tablet feature much but I use it that way 50% of the time to my surprise. Speed on using Photoshop ir editing videos is great.

Mixed Bag: Two Weeks with the HP Spectre 16''

Introduction:
My initial encounter with the HP Spectre 16'' left me mesmerized by its vibrant OLED screen and comfortable keyboard, setting high expectations for what was to come. Over two weeks of usage, I delved into its performance capabilities, exploring its strengths and weaknesses across various tasks and scenarios.
First Impressions:
The HP Spectre 16'' made a stellar first impression, with its stunning OLED display and tactile keyboard elevating the overall user experience. Whether I was diving into coding sessions, browsing the web, or immersing myself in multimedia content, the laptop delivered a seamless and enjoyable performance, showcasing its prowess as a versatile workhorse.
Performance and Versatility:
For everyday tasks like programming, web browsing, and media consumption, the HP Spectre 16'' proved to be a reliable companion, effortlessly handling everything I threw at it. The 2-in-1 form factor added a layer of versatility, allowing me to seamlessly transition between laptop and tablet modes for different workflows, further enhancing productivity.
Gaming Experience:
However, the true test came when I ventured into gaming territory. Unfortunately, my experience took a nosedive as I encountered frustrating stutters and frame rate drops every few minutes. Despite boasting impressive hardware on paper, the reality fell short of expectations, with FPS plummeting from triple digits to mere fractions for several seconds at a time. The sudden fan activation only added to the disruption, disrupting the immersive gaming experience I had hoped for.
Software Woes and Promises:
Attempting to remedy the situation, I scoured the settings in search of a solution, only to find no option to adjust the fan curve or alleviate the performance issues. Disappointingly, despite assurances of a BIOS update from HP, subsequent reviews revealed no discernible improvements post-update, leaving me disillusioned with the overall software optimization of the laptop.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the HP Spectre 16'' presents a tale of contrasts, with its exceptional hardware marred by subpar software optimization. While its vibrant display, comfortable keyboard, and versatile form factor initially impressed, the gaming experience fell short of expectations due to persistent stutters and frame rate drops. Despite promises of a software fix, the lack of tangible improvements post-update leaves much to be desired. As a result, while the Spectre may excel in certain areas, its shortcomings in others ultimately detract from its overall appeal, leaving me with mixed feelings about its performance and potential.

Great laptop. Able to use it for SolidWorks, programming, gaming, etc. Definitely worth spending the extra money to get it with an RTX graphics card.
