Great Laptop

I did all my research before buying and this is a great laptop. All review sites had this and the Dell XPS 13 as the best. The Dell XPS 13 is also good but I went with this one for a few reasons. First it was cheaper, second it’s upgradable, and third it’s a beautiful laptop that includes a USB port A. It boots up fast, Windows Hello is quick and easy, you can turn off the camera when you want, the 4K screen is great for editing photos, the 1 TB of SSD memory is great for photos and music, and video, it’s stylish, it comes with a slim case to help protect it, and its portable. I’ve rarely used the included pen or used it in tablet mode but it’s still nice to have both options. If it’s too pricey I would go with an HP Envy with the new AMD processors. However you can’t go wrong with this laptop. If it’s time to upgrade this is the best portable 13 out there in my opinion.

Satisfaction: built quality, a comfortable keyboard, excellent screen, high performance, lightweight & thin.
Small issue: temp is higher than my previous laptop (15.6"). This is my first use of 13.3", so I do not know how other small laptops show their temperature.

i love my new laptop! It's light easy to handle and very practical. The only reason why i gave it 4 stars will be because it does tend to get very hot when you use it for example on your lap.

With a great screen and keyboard, this lightweight laptop is excellent for travel and work at home. The keyboard is among the best of this generation, though if it had a few more millimeters of travel, it would be even better. The AMOLED screen is both hi-res and great in depicting colors and black.

I bought two of these. One each for my twin grandsons who had a very subdued senior year and may have another subdued first year of college. These are thin, light, have all the features students need from teleconferencing to plenty of storage. Plus have all the gaming and fun stuff kids want.

Bought this for my to use mainly for business.
It's fast as expected being of the newer CPU, although 1oth generation doesn't mean much. Picture quality 4K is pretty good with the OLED screen. 1 TB storage is a lot for my wife right now so hopefully she won't worry about that for a long time.
The movies look great and sound is a little tin canny, can't be helped for the size of the laptop speakers. I had connected cheap desktop speakers and it sounded better. I'm not about to by extreme stereophonic speakers for it but I'm sure it would sound a whole as though your in a theater.
The only complaint that she had was the letters were tiny. I had to enlarge it to 150 percent.

Just about everything on this laptop is great, perfect size, nice and stylish keyboard, applications and system works great, but the camera is insufficient compared to everything else the computer has. If the camera was better this laptop would be amazing.

Will never have anything but a spectre. This is my 2nd one. Still have my first one but gave it to my daughter. It’s beautiful and classy looking. Compact and lightweight and always love HP products and windows.
Very expensive but would continue to purchase

I love this lightweight power house. The only thing I don't like is how hot it gets. Battery doesn't seem to last very long as well, about 8 hrs.

I really do love this computer..its light, quick, and, versatile, but there are some negatives. First, the speakers are not good. Without an external speaker or earphones, I have a difficult time hearing (yes,I'm over 60) the audio. Then, there is no volume toggle on the frame of the laptop. This is a huge pain in the neck especially if you're in tablet mode. I would also have preferred an HDMI port.
On the other, it's a big improvement that the power button is in a corner rather than in the middle of the frame like before.

The features on this laptop was the best combination I found for a reasonable price. The laptop is aesthetically pleasing with the gold rose trim. The screen is amazing, even for the smaller 13.3".

The design and the weight of the laptop is amazing. It looks very sleek, the mouse pad is very sensitive to touch. The computer overall is amazing and so is the speed.
The only thing I do not like about it is the battery life. I have always had HP for all my laptops and one big thing for me is the battery life. It drains really fast even if you have it on the lowest setting which is disappointing for the price.
I would probably check out the dell xps 13 if I were spending the same amount. I kept it because I was having finals and my old laptop after years just crashed multiple times in very few hours.

Premium laptop,lightweight,efficient,versatile.Does everything I want.Is our 2nd one.Still have the 1st one that's 3 years old.
Only 1 complaint/suggestion to HP. The plugin for power on the laptop is too sensitive to breaking.Had to send our older one in to get fixed;they tell us to be "careful" when plugging in. I'm no weight lifter. Good thing older model had 2 plugins for power. This newer model now has the power plugin on the corner just below the screen. I suspect they know there's been a problem&are trying to improve. Only reason I gave 4 stars for value. Will see how long that part lasts.
Would still definitely recommend this laptop above all others..it's premium!

This laptop is great and performance wise does everything I would want. The only complaints are that the speakers are reaaaaly quiet. My wife has a MacBook Pro and her speakers are way better. Luckily I use Bluetooth headphones usually. The one that was awe full was the laptop sleeve it came with... the smell was putrid. And you don’t have to put your nose up to it to smell it, you can smell it from across the room and it smells like fish. I looked on the HP forums and others have reported the same thing. Some seem to have received sleeves that don’t smell though, so I guess it is just hit or miss.
Overall I definitely recommend, to me it is comparable to a MacBook Pro for someone who wants to run windows.

Not only do I constantly receive compliments on the anesthetic design of this laptop, people are often blown away by the amount of multitasking that can be done with ease. The battery power last all day with continued usage of multiple programs. This device is much more durable than I had anticipated as well and thankfully does not have a heavier weight. Only thing I have noticed is it has a tendency to become hot but this only seems to be an issue when I am working in a hotter climate (E.G. 106° Texas heat). Overall amazing piece of equipment.
