We purchased this laptop for distance learning for our daughter. We were having problems with the Chromebook and this is 100 times better. The applications load quickly and the internet speed over Wi-Fi is very fast. Our daughter likes the fact that she can use the touch screen instead of the mouse. It also performs very well over zoom calls with a high quality camera.

I’ve had my eye on this laptop for the past year. It hasn’t disappointed! It is fast and easy to navigate. I love the built in Alexa, and the Kill switch for the camera. It works as a laptop and tablet. The touchscreen and stylus pencil are great added features. It’s been a while since I’ve bought a new laptop, and I’m glad I waited. I love this model. Great job HP! Best Buy has great promotions and I used one on this purchase.

Had this computer for a week now and Iam incredibly pleased with the purchase so far! The picture quality is excellent, and the look of the computer itself is very sleek I purchased this computer to use primarily for work and I needed something that could primarily documents, presentations, imaging, etc. quickly and easily, and that could last all day . I have been amazed at the battery life on this machine! I have been using it for streaming modules, completing documentation, emails, and general browsing use, and it easily lasts the entire day. With moderate use, I only need to charge it every 3 days or so- plus it charges very quickly. The only issue I have had was that it ran very hard the first two days, and would get hot. After reading advice online (apparently this is common as programs first are establishing on the computer), I adjusted the maximum CPU setting to 90%, and have had no issues since, nor any notable change in performance! Overall - Excellent light weight laptop with aluminum casing all around. Sturdy and sleek, easy to use as a tablet and laptop. With 4K screen resolution one will enjoy the tasks browsing internet, listening music and watching pics and videos.

I bought this open box excellent through the mail. I'm very happy with my purchase. The screen is unbelievable. The only thing I really hate is the battery life is less than advertised. I, however, keep my brightness on higher than most which I'm sure plays a part in that. I would not hesitate to recommend this computer to anyone else.

Short and sweet. Fantastic laptop, great build quality and almost an unbeatable ultra portable! Wow the display! But, it simply stays too hot constantly. So warm in fact, my hand would stay moist while typing and using and the trackpad. The heat comes through the top of the keyboard area even when just browsing and not performing anything intensive. It was uncomfortable and I can only assume this is in part due to the heat the 4k display generates. The fan is fairly quiet but it’s on constantly from trying to cool this thing down. I got 5 hours of battery life, doing lite things. Not great and the fast charger helps but I need a bit more to help me get through the work day. I’m a bit disappointed.

This is a good Chromebook. Very fast, good touch screen, folds back to be a decent (if not bulky) tablet. Have not figured out how to right-click on the touch pad, but a mouse works well. This is a great combination of Android phone with a PC and (so far) does everything I need.

This computer has the best display I have ever seen on a laptop. If you are using this computer for watching movies and day to day use it's great. It does run hot, and the battery is only 5-7 hours but overall if you can put up with that it's an excellent machine.

So far it’s been great, a huge upgrade since my last computer. My only issues are that it heats up kind of quickly and the battery life isn’t as long as I was hoping. Other then those two it’s exactly what I needed.

This is a super light and perfect for taking on the go. I love the touch screen and the ability to fold the laptop over into tablet mode. The two USB C ports are very nice, and the webcam kill switch is cool. The included pen is nice, but there's no where to really store it and as such I don't use it very often. I can't speak much on processing power, as I mainly use this for light web browsing, emails, and watching the occasional video stream. I do use it to run Silhouette Studio, and it seems to work just fine. My only gripe is the keyboard, the addition of the page up/down, end, home buttons alter my natural rest position on the keyboard, especially sense the track pad is centered. It makes the typing experience a touch strange and I have noticed a few more typos than usual.

I am always hesitant to buy computers fr the mega brands as they tend to be cheaply made, don’t perform well, and break before long. This is an exception for HP. It is very lightweight and feels mostly natural when in use. The keyboard is a little small, but that is to be expected with a machine of this size. It runs smoothly, though I needed to remove a fair bit of HP bloatware. The Micro SD slot makes up for the smaller SSD easily tripling storage space. The half-door over the USB-A slot is a little annoying. I haven’t been able to plug anything in to it without first lifting the computer. Battery life is good. I get anywhere form 6 to eight hours depending on use. Longer with the keyboard lighting off and screen intensity lowered. If your budget range includes the price for this one, then I highly recommend it!

    Best screen on a laptop

After looking at the Lenovo C940, S940, Samsung Flex, Samsung Ion and MacBook Pro, this by far has the best screen. I got this on sale for $999, which also made it a good deal even though it only has 8gb of RAM and a 256GB SDD. At the full price, I would not be excited about it as I'd rather wait for the more powerful version to go on sale. The laptop generally doesn't run hot once the updates have been installed. The finish quality is excellent and the keyboard has good travel.

So I've been using this HP Spectre for about 5 months now and I thought I'd give a quick review. Pros: Design - I LOVE the design and form of this laptop. It feels very premium and modern with its thin bezels, chiseled edges, and overall quality materials. Performance - I'm not an extreme power user by any means, but even with the 10th gen Core i5 and 8 gigs of RAM I'm able to browse the web, get work done and even create and upload music and videos with ease. Screen - The main reason I wanted to try this laptop was honestly for the 4K screen and I am very impressed with how sharp and detailed everything looks. It is a major upgrade from the 720p resolution laptop I had previously, I don't think I can go back to a lower resolution now TBH. Cons: A few hardware issues - I've only had this thing for 5 months now and already one of the fans is making a buzzing noise that comes on randomly, and one of the rubber "grip strips" on the bottom of the laptop is peeling away. I'm looking into fixing those but it's not a good look to have these issues already on a newer laptop that cost around 1000 bucks. Heat - Even before the fan issue, this thing gets TOASTY! Just playing YouTube videos makes the laptop so warm that I can feel the heat on my lap and the fans sound like jet engines trying to cool this thing down. Battery - Obviously with a bright 4K screen and specs on the somewhat-powerful side I didn't expect this thing to have phenomenal battery life, but I find myself having to keep my charger close by because if I don't then the battery dies pretty quick. Not a huge deal since I do most of my work with the laptop plugged in at home, but still slightly disappointing. I would've given this 4/5 stars if it weren't for the hardware issues, but if you manage to find one of these at a good price and maybe better specs then I'd say go for it. I still use this laptop every day but if the fan issue doesn't get resolved then I'll have to go with something else.

Nice looking and small bezel. The 4K display is sharp so I can see the difference from an FHD display. The processor is also snappy. Although it is not the lightest in its class, it is portable enough for road warriors and college students. 2-in-1 design is convenient for taking notes and enjoying videos. 8GB memory is soldered, so it cannot be upgraded; however, most of the ultra-portable laptops have the memory soldered, so I have no complaint. If you are not using it for memory demanding programs, it is OK. The 256GB Nvme SSD, on the other hand, can be upgraded. One unique design for this laptop is the location of one of its USB-C ports. It could be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your setup.

This laptop is lightweight with plenty of storage. It is fast and has a nice touch screen. The fingerprint recognition does not always work, but it is not an important feature for me.

I've had this laptop for about a week now, and I'm frankly thrilled! It powers up immediately, web browsing is lightning fast, the keys are incredibly easy to use and learn, the touchpad is very responsive and useful (this computer is the first time I've ever used a touchpad for an extended period and it has been a very easy transition), the design is thought through so that the power button and charger are never in the way, no matter how it is held, and the screen is beautiful. My only complaint is that it can get quite warm, but the fan cools it down very effectively (and quietly). Overall, this is an amazing laptop that I will be recommending to those I know!

The Laptop feels premium and it’s from HP so you cannot really go wrong with it. The only downside is that you feel hot when you are have multiple tasks going on but that should be expected based on the size of the laptop (it cannot have a great cooling system for its small size), this is also applicable for any small size laptops and not only this particular one. It has USB-C which is really good and it’s an all metal finish which also feels great.

This is the first computer I've owned since 08. It starts up quickly and the battery life is great. I've been mostly playing Skyrim and Fallout new vegas at max settings without any problems. In fact it loads so quick that I haven't touched the xbox in a few days. I bought this for work stuff as I travel so it's nice that it's light weight. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a solid machine that does a little more.
