This is such an amazing laptop. The battery life is unbelievable. It last 8+ hours. I have never had to plug it in while working on it. It's small and so powerful. Not to mention it boots up in mere seconds! Absolutely love it!

It took me months to decide on a laptop. I finally decided on the Microsoft Surface. I’ve used my son’s surface before and played around with my husband’s for about an hour before making my final decision.
Well, one day, I asked my coworker what laptop he had and he said an HP Spectre.
I did some research and it came down to this:
1. The keyboard is attached to my HP. I already have an iPad for a table and didn’t need two tablets.
2. The cost was about $500 less, maybe a little bit more.
3. The HP was in stock and for me to get the same specs on a Surface, I’d need to order it.
I think both computers are really good and both get great reviews. I will say that this HP has not yet disappointed me. It’ll all boil down to those 3 items I mentioned above.

Changed from Dell to this and very glad I did!

My previous Dell computer, one I bought new and broke down after a MONTH of buying it, that required a repair which would take 10 business days to fulfill under warranty (being a student I did not have that time available), or pay like 200 more to fix it (which would also take time) I returned it since it was brand new, and exchanged for this one.
This one is smaller, lighter and runs anything. We use a lot of programming so having memory and good processors is a must. Being a 2 in 1 is convenient, but I feel all computers lag a bit when converting to tablet mode (like if they did not want to be turned into tablets), heat up and suffer from this. Whenever I used it as a tablet I had no issue except for it running hotter than I would have hoped for.

With an intelligent design, beautiful graphics, and extensive storage, this computer can do it all. Very convenient to take to class, because it is so lightweight and easy to fit in a book bag.

The design itself is great. The color is great and the lines are beautiful. Battery life is short and makes sure you update it before you really dive in. Pen is included but there's nowhere to put it and it's not magnetic

Bought This For My Mom

I purchased this laptop for my Mom as a Christmas gift (gave it to her early). I have the Spectre 15.6 and Spectre 13.3, so I know this laptop well (although different model). My Mom has an HP Pavilion that was given to her as a Christmas gift in 2013, so it was time for an upgrade.
My Mom has thoroughly enjoyed this laptop over the last two weeks. She loves the touchscreen and size (and weight). My Mom is 90 years old and suffered a mild stroke on Thanksgiving Day 2018. My intention was to get her an upgraded laptop that would make her want to use it more than she was using her old laptop, and to help her keep her mind fresh. The mild stroke threw her for loop (she has always been very healthy).
This was probably more laptop than she needed or would use, but it was for my Mom, and I felt it was for a good reason I got it for her.

Light weight, very slim powerful 4k screen resolution that's nice, sharp and crisp. The best for last, i7/16gb/512ssd what else there that u need.
Just a gorgeous laptop. I bought it used certified excellent conditon from Best Buy. The laptop def was not inspected. The audio, USB, and biometer finger drivers were missing. Took care of that out the box and cleaned the screen and the rest of the laptop with screen cleaner. Runs very smoothly and quick response time on it. Don't notice any clocking issues. Reboots in 10-15secs unless u have an update.

I bought this 2-in-1 laptop for engineering school to use as my primary note-taking device. It has been fantastic for that. It runs MATLAB, Solidworks, and AutoCAD decently well. It also boasts a pretty impressive battery life. The pen can be a bit finicky at times, but overall works well. I just wish there was some sort of cover for the keyboard while in tablet mode.

The Best Laptop I've Ever Owned

I researched this laptop several weeks prior to purchasing and even visited the store twice to physically compare it to other laptops before eventually deciding this is the one for me. This laptop offers me all of the features that I was looking for in a laptop as well as a price that I thought was fair. I think this is the best laptop that I have ever owned but I would strongly recommend doing your own research prior to buying so that your needs are being adequately met.

This is my 2nd Spectre in 2 years, gave the first to my assistant. I've never had such a powerful laptop, worth the money! Screaming fast, especially with the 16GB of RAM. Touch screen is extremely responsive, super light, and thin. It's as thin as my iPad with a keyboard case, but with a lot more capacity since it's a full laptop not just a tablet. fingerprint scanner not awesome. Definitely get the 16 GB if you're like me and keep like 12 browser windows running at once!

I've only been using this laptop for a month but so far I've been impressed with its performance. I previously had a Surface, so the additional weight of this has taken a bit of getting used to as I lug it through the airport. Outside of that, the only other downside is no good place for the pen, other than the sleeve for the laptop. I would have liked to have seen a way to attach it to the laptop if I didn't want to keep it in the sleeve.

Bought this for my son as he was about to start college. He absolutely loves it. The features of him being able to record the professor as he lectures and take notes on the touch screen is great. He then can later go over the recording and check his notes to make sure he didn't miss anything.ust be working. A's and B's during his first semester. A great investment.

As a college student, the laptop is really convenient for use and easy to carry around. Especially because of the pen and touch screen functions.
Although I did have issues with mine heating up during charging and having mouse issues on the screen. Despite the occasional glitches, I haven't had too many issues using the Spectre for engineering assignments and programming.
