I had to return the first one because it had a broken key. The second one had all sorts of operating quirks. I have owned HPs for 22 years. So surprised by the decline of its quality control.

Purchased for work ( healthcare field) so that I could carry it around with me from patient to patient. Battery lasts surprisingly long, and the computer itself works wonderfully. I don't use the tablet feature much, but overall, I'm very satisfied!

I have always bought HP laptops and have not had issues. I ordered this laptop online and when I received it the laptop I was excited about it. However since the first day I used it and ever single day after that it crashed on me. I would use it and out of nowhere it would glitch and restart on me. There would be a blue screen that would come up and state an error occurred. I looked up reviews online and that’s when I found out there are others that have this issue as well. It’s a really nice laptop I just wish that glitch would not happen. I ended up returning and buying a different laptop. I was disappointed especially for the price you spend on it. I rate it a 3 star in the event it was just something that was just wrong with the hard drive on the one I purchased. Everything else was great. The picture quality was great (without the glitch). I put this comment just in case this happens to you, you are not alone, but Best Buy staff did a wonderful job of taking care of me through the process of returning/purchasing a new laptop!

    Pretty Computer

This is a beautiful computer. It's packaging and feel is very nice. However it's use is not as nice. In fairness, I am a MAC user mostly and it is not fair to compare a PC quality to an Apple. I ended up with a surface and the quality is much better.

    Video/camera color is off

This is the worst laptop I've ever purchased. For almost $2,000 the video picture is too dark. The video color almost looks black and white. I can't take it outside on the patio because the color is too dim and you can barely see anything( especially when its not plugged in, even when you have a fully charged battery. What a disappointment, after my last laptop was stolen I bought this one in hopes to have it for a long time. Since I can't use it for video calls, cameras to dark, pictures come out fuzzy, it useless to me. I would have been better off getting a $600 dell laptop. Also the customer service for HP is nonexistent. When you call the customer service number, they just tell you to go online and none of the suggested fixes actually solve the problem.

Great price and package. Awesome quality, built, looks and function. Nice colors and great screen. Weight and battery average. Not too much to complain basically. Like it more than my Dell XPS so far.

    Fire breathing dragon!!!!!

I truly have regrets getting this overpriced computer early on every time I will boot it up it would start overheating breathing out hot air for extended periods I was embarrassed to take it to work it was so excessive!!!! And it has issues with this sound card too it will stop making any sound and I have to go into my settings and tweak things most every time and a lot of times when a new song comes on. Eventually it was just so overwhelming I spent my money on a Lenovo Yoga that I was very happy with, doesn't have that terabyte of space but it certainly doesn't have the overheating problems and sound card issues that this one has. I wanted a high end laptop with lots of storage and I was very disappointed, wish I would have got the high end Dell XP oh and also very limited with the portals don't waste your money!!!!!! And the battery life is horrible.

    HP Spectre 360

If you are considering HP laptops, consider this: Bought this for college student in July 2019. About a month ago, it just completely died. Won't charge, won't power on. Online search reveals that there have been a lot of failed motherboard issues with this model. I haven't gotten an official diagnosis yet, not sure it's worth it. Also bought this for other college student in 2017. It is a bit older and still works for the most part but it is dying in pieces. First the sound went, then the touch pad quit working. Now the shell is separating from the keyboard. Both laptops were well cared for. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with this experience and with HP in general. This is an expensive lesson you don't have to learn yourself. Do the research before buying any HP computer.

    Don't do it!

I bought an earlier version of this model. After a few years I noticed it wasn't laying flat on the desk anymore. It was warped. I never dropped it or anything of the sort but thought well maybe that happened because occasionally, and I mean occasionally, I carried it in one hand holding it between the corner and the touch pad while it was open and running. Still l thought it really must be poorly made if that would cause it to warp. Long story short, the batteries in these things would expand. A google search brought it up and it happened alot. And made the keyboard expand upward and well it eventually destroys the thing. And by the time I figured that out and called HP, opps, too bad, they no longer support it. 4 year is the timeframe if you are curious. So I cant even send it to them to pay to fix it. And they dont sell the batteries anymore. Third parties offer them but HP couldn't tell me if that would solve the expanding keyboard problem and wobbling around the desk when typing. Here's what burns me... why in hell didn't I get a message from HP warning me about this? I get all sort of other crap from them, why not this? And oh btw, my work computer is an HP. And from day 1 it won't stay connected to a blue tooth mouse... tried multiple brands. Even got a USB wireless mouse. Won't talk to that either for more than a few hours to a day. Then it freezes and then the only option, reboot. And don't get me started on all of the HP printers that after a couple of years, just sort of crap out. I'm sooo done with HP.

    DO NOT BUY!!

DO NOT BUY!! I purchased this laptop in March 2020, within months the display stopped working. I brought it back and they had to replace the entire display which took 2+ weeks. I never really got a reason as to why it stopped working, but if you search the internet there are endless forums about screen issues with this product. Fast forward to now, the same exact issue just happened again. However, this time my product is over a year old and not covered under warranty. My income fully requires this machine to be working at all times, and for $1700 you would think you'd be buying a reliable product. Do not be fooled, this is not the case. Please do yourself a favor and buy a macbook pro or a microsoft surface pro instead for the same cost and far better value and reliability. Also, incase you were wondering, this laptop does not leave my desk. It hasn't been dropped, zero damage has been done to it. It looks brand new, and worked like it was brand new, until the display decided to stop working during a zoom call. If you want to spend $1700 on this product I promise you will have buyers remorse.

    Company Deception

I ordered this laptop in store for a new condition before it was sold out, waited two weeks until the store received it, and when I opened it in front of the store associate. The computer was clearly in an open-box condition. Everything inside was not sealed, poorly packaged, the screen had fingerprints, and the policy catalog inside was torn apart inside. This is an obvious deception by making a customer pay for the laptop the price of a new condition and it comes nowhere like new. I am very disappointed I am a student and waited that long because I trusted HP but they disappointed me. I asked the store that I should get compensated at least for the gas I had to spend but the issue wasn't handled correctly.

Better off Flushing Money Down the Toilet!!!

I use my laptop primarily for photo editing (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.). My old laptop (6 years old) could perform anymore, so I bought this one. One month into owning it, it started to perform worse than the laptop I had for 6 years. It's constantly crashing, photo editing takes forever, it's always not responding and one year into owning this laptop my wifi stopped working. Got a replacement sent and it is equally bad. Someone told me the reason it keeps crashing all the time is because a slim laptop like this is bound to overhead, since the fan is so little. Anyways, I am so upset. I don't put anything on my laptop, my photos as stored on a cloud and all I do is photo editing and I cannot even do that in an efficient way.

    Buy from Best Buy

IMPORTANT: Do NOT comparison shop this Spectre x360 computer only to make the mistake of buying direct from HP.COM. BBY's machine is better (higher end processor), cheaper ($70 less on sale) - and HP's customer service is TERRIBLE. They will not price match BBY's lower price - and will not cancel any order unless you do so WITHIN ONE HOUR. Even though the machine ISN'T SCHEDULED TO SHIP FOR THREE WEEKS. I have a Spectre. It's a great computer. But buy from BBY. Do NOT make the mistake of buying directly from HP.COM.

    Such disappointment

This laptop was so expensive. I thought it would be the last laptop I needed to buy. Unfortunately, it stopped working - for no reason; wouldn't turn on. Had to call HP to do hard stop. They were able to fix. It stopped working again and this time they weren't able to fix. Of course, warranty expired and they wanted to charge $450-500 to fix. So disappointed because I liked it so much. Would avoid this laptop at all cost. Laptop looks new but only good as paper weight at this point.
