Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the responsive touch screen, strong performance, and lightweight design of the Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop. Positive feedback also frequently mentions the long battery life and fast SSD. However, some users note that the laptop can get warm during use and that the fan can be noisy at times. The relatively high price point is also a recurring concern for some customers.

Was between this computer, Dell XPS, and Microsoft Surface Book. Also was waiting for the new Surface Book. This HP system couldn't be beat for the money. High end computer (dedicated graphics card, 512SSD, 16GB RAM, 4K screen) at a great price. Works great so far. Super quiet, I wonder if there's a fan in there at all, I've never heard it come on. Super thin and light. Only thing I don't like is that it sits flat on a desk, not angled, so typing on it is different.

This is a great laptop, it looks great and distinct from so many box like laptops. Its performance is top notch. Windows 10 is mostly pretty good, its a good step forward. The only problem and its not the laptops fault is that so much software (including brand new) has real issues with the 4K display. At this stage the 4K is more of a hindrance than a benefit, it looks amazing for software that can work with it but so much software is rendered almost unusable. The OS can be configured to use the software in an enhanced mode but even with that its hit and miss.

I am absolutely in love with this laptop. I am so glad that I spent the extra money and got what I really wanted. It is so fast compared to my last laptop. The facial recognition sign in is so fast. Have had zero issues at all with this machine.

Quick start-up, the 4K display is outstanding, the processor and graphics are plenty fast for Photoshop. Nice eye catching design to outer case, too.

I love this laptop! The graphics are crisp and the battery life is amazing. The only issue I have is that the track pad lags (I’m used to a mac) and when in tablet mode some keyboard functions are still on. Minor details that I can live with.

I've had mine for a few weeks, and it's been a awesome to have. Quick to power on and login, face recognition technology to sign in if you want. The laptop also just looks really sleek. The stylus that came with it is a nice addition as well, so you know for a fact it will work with the laptop and fairly quick response.

While at work I find myself missing my personal laptop (hp x360). Feels elegant and is absolutely stunning. Unboxing this product was an Amazing experience! The case, pen, and laptop are all high quality. Not only st is absolutely beautiful, but it feels so sturdy! I don't have to fear changing it drop laptop view, to tablet, and tent view...the options are endless. The matte black & gold is breathtaking. My only concern is that it will lag or stall (the mouse) every once in awhile,I'm sure Geek Squad will help me with this. I researched many options before deciding on this one. I couldn't imagine using anything else. I truly love this device!

I have now had a month or so with this laptop and no complaints on its performance so far. Between its portability and battery life, i have had no issues with it lasting a full workday of random use streaming video, surfing the web, email, drafting letters and working on spreadsheets. The 15.6 inch 4k screen is amazing, but it does make it odd to carry around while open from office to office or into a breakroom. The 13.3 inch spectre is available if an even more portable platform is required. Why not 5 stars? I did have an issue with the keyboard, but BestBuy initiated an exchange after finding the parts to fix were not readily available.

Very powerful laptop, I never use alot of the things that drive up the price, screen and 360 degree screen. Only major issue is the trackpad is not the quality of the rest of the computer. But other than that, it is an absolute great laptop, very well made and great quality.

I bought this to replace an aging laptop. I read the reviews here on Best Buy and also on the HP website and reviews elsewhere about this laptop. I can say I am very happy with it. The display is very brilliant, the colors at times seem to jump out at me. The keyboard feels very good to type on. I like the speakers on each side of the keyboard. The touch screen is very responsive. Nice of HP to include a pen stylus with the machine and a pouch to carry the laptop in. It is a pouch, not a carrying case, you would not be able to put the charger and cord or other items in it. I wish it had a numeric keypad but you can't ding a product because it doesn't. I knew that when I bought it. I have since adjusted. I did have to return it to get another one, the original one kept freezing up when I was online. It would last for 30 seconds or so and then all was good. It kept doing it periodically. There are reports on the HP website of this one and other laptops doing the same thing. The one thing I did do was to update the bios as it was showing there was one available. It seems like the freezing began after that. With the new one I did not update the bios and it has not frozen once. I did post this out on the forums on HP. All in all an incredible machine, I would buy it again.

I had been eyeing the HP Spectra for months and almost bought from HP when they changed their line to the newest processor and upped the price. Best buy still had the i7 version which is more than sufficient for photo processing. The SSD drive is WAY fast and I don't bother with sleep mode any longer since boot-up is so quick. A couple minor glitches: using sleep mode, after waking back up, it's not able to use the facial recognition for sign-on (flashing lights don't come on!). Overall the touch pad and screen are REALLY sensitive. I find myself doing things without hardly touching. I also found a glitch with MS Photos in creating video for this model... it doesn't work. Still working with Microsoft to see if they can solve the issue. It creates videos with noise in both video and audio. Went back to the 2012 version of Movie Maker and it works fine. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the HP Spectra.

So far so good on this computer. Looks good, works great, fast, and I love rolling up on my friends with an apple computer...and their touch bar...haha. I typically have 10+ tabs up at a time and don't see any lag in this computer. Love the touch screen and the keyboard is great for typing as well. Not so sure about the mouse that bestbuy pushes with this laptop...the one that matches in color...it's not the best...I will probably upgrade on that one, but the computer is the best in any room I go into.

I purchased this in a rush for a business trip, installed everything and flew out to meet my client. First time I started the computer on site it refused to boot. I had to return to a restore point and reinstall software. Fortunately I use external drives and recovery was quick and painless. I still don't know if the issue was the result of an HP issue or caused by some of the software I had installed etc. Bottom line... It freaked me out, but I would be out of line to blame HP without knowing exactly what happened. The negatives... A USB hub is a must at this time sine there's only one USB 3.0 port and if you use a wireless mouse there that goes. Since there's always a hub hanging out of my port it's not as simple a task to flip it around for monitor only usage. The pen pressure requires a lot of pressure in my opinion and I haven't found a way to adjust it. It should be noted that this is my first pen pressure experience though. Part of the logo looks like it MAY be peeling off some already. The positives... I am still happy with the computer despite the aforementioned stuff because it performs very well with all of my software including my graphics software, some of which is 3D modeling software. The monitor is so bright and colorful that using my old machine is like switching to black and white TV. Other options I considered mostly required additional memory or some other modification after purchase. This laptop has great specs right out of the box. I know this is shallow , but aesthetically this laptop can't be beat. It looks stylish and professional. Even the packaging was beautiful and made you feel good about your purchase. I would like some more experience before I make final judgment on this product, but I think I'm going to like it.

Laptop looks very sleek and is fast, although I notice sometimes it has to pause to "think" when I am running multiple programs utilizing a lot of memory. However, it is handling this better than my last computer. I was worried that it would be easily scuffed, but it still looks great three months later! Facial recognition works better than expected, and I am able to open multiple tabs/windows in chrome without it slowing down. Great on battery life. Haven't found a task yet that it couldn't handle. Highly recommend for someone that needs to use multiple programs/packages at once.
