I have been looking to replace my current laptop and tablet with a capable 2 in 1 device, but was waiting for certain features to standardize before making a purchase. With the newest version of the HP Spectre 15t (8th Gen Intel CPU), I have finally found what I need. The device size offers a perfect combination of portability yet enough screen real estate to get work done. The 4K screen is beautiful by the way, but is glossy so will reflect light. I use a MS Surface Pen, and it works perfectly with OneNote. Ample IO ports including Headphone Jack, Full Size HDMI, SD card reader, 1x standard USB Type A, and 2x Thunderbolt 3 enabled USB Type-C ports. Both ports will charge and provide Thunderbolt3 data speeds, including all 4x PCIe lanes being open so it will work perfectly with an eGPU enclosure for added graphical performance. I am Currently using this as a desktop replacement at work, where 1 USB Type-C cable goes into my dock, and provides power, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and outputs to Dual Displays. The backlit keyboard is excellent and provides a great typing experience. Large track pad feels great and supports Win 10 gestures. Performance wise, this thing rocks. It has the newest 8th Gen Intel CPU with Quad Core support, 16GB od RAM, and a dedicated Nvidia MX150 GPU. While not as powerful graphically as an actual "Gaming Laptop"(nor as bulky) it is way ahead of integrated graphics found of most notebooks. Screen shot attached of a 3DMark benchmark score to compare performance for those interested. Overall I have been very pleased with this laptop, and love the added functionality of the 2 in 1 design.

Right out of the box, this computer is gorgeous. Having used it for a few weeks now, I can confirm that it's not just about looks. It feels very solidly-built. It is very capable in running a number of modern games (although I am not playing anything extremely intensive), as well as heavy web browsing (lots of tabs open simultaneously). The 4K display is beautiful. There were very small issues with scaling in a few programs, but they are fairly simple to resolve, even if it requires signing out/signing in a few times to get it right. And the battery life is great. Even with the power-hungry display, I can use the computer most of the day without needed to plug in. The only thing I wish is that HP made it easier to figure out: 1) where you can get a second charging cable and 2) which active pen styluses work on this computer. (I went into a BestBuy store to test some styluses and ended up getting the Bamboo Ink, which works perfectly with my model.)

The moment you take this laptop in your hands you realize you are holding something extraordinary and expensive, just like jewellery. And provably this is the reason why I keep picking up this laptop in my hands without any reason. Programs open up lightening fast, there is no boot lag, and installation is also a breeze. If you have a lightening fast internet, you will come to know its real might on this machine. This laptop doesnt come with a stylus, so i bought a bamboo ink. The response to thincknes of lines is amazing. Tried a bit of gaming too like CS GO, and it didnt dissappoint. I got it just for 1200 bucks on sale, so its bang on bucks for that rate.

outer of the screen too small so when hold the screen to move the laptop the contend scroll down because its a touch screen. mice pointer is white color and so small difficult to find it on screen. when folding to a tablet the keyboard keys still loose make it difficult to handle the tablet mode. power button should be in diffirent location there are lot of time accidentally turn off laptop when moving it. the 2 USB C so close to each other so when plug in the adapter for USB it cover the other USB C.

I purchased this hybrid 2 in 1 laptop almost 3 years ago in 2017 and it’s still a beast. Top of the line specs still apply such as the memory and intel i7 processing chip which is now in its 10th generation. Powers up ultra fast due to solid state drive. Battery power is manageable under battery saver but could be better on higher end laptops such as this. Great facial recognition software which protects from unauthorized use. Comes with great carrying and storing case which protects the laptop. Overall great purchase and hopefully will continue its amazing usage for many years to come.

Pros: Powerful, long lasting battery, bright and rich screen, keyboard, and tack pad Cons: Left speaker is on the fritz; sometimes it doesn't work at all or sounds like there is a loose connection. Video camera has a purple tint in all but the brightest of rooms. In low light the screen noticeably dims, causing me to manually readjust back. For a flagship HP product I would anticipate better quality. Now I need to figure out how to get these issues resolved under warranty. Not what I would have anticipated a month or so into ownership. Based on Google searches my issues are not rare.

I have the laptop connected to a USB-C hub that connects the cat5, power, two Logitech receivers, and HDMI.Handles those connections just fine off of a single USB-C port. There is an additional USB-C port on the laptop itself. As well as a HDMI port although I am using the one on my USB-C hub in order to only have to unplug one cable on the go. The HDMI is a 60" 4k monitor that I have split into desktops. This system handles it with a breeze.

I am the person who becomes a subject matter expert before I buy a product. I read every review on all of the top laptops on the market. I went to Best Buy to physically check them out. Honestly there a lot of awesome laptops out there. Before I went to do my scouting I had narrowed my prospects down to the latest generation Dell XPS 13" or the HP Spectra 360 13", 2 in 1. Once I got to the store I was like, WOW! So many awesome machines. I found my two top choices and they were as advertised, beautiful incredible machines, but neither of them were going to be on sale on Black Friday! Hmmmm! So I looked at other machines. Whew! Now my head was spinning! What am I really looking for? Laptop, Tablet, 2 in 1. The reason I was looking at Laptops was because my Ipad was old and outdated and it was time to upgrade. I had decided on going the Laptop with a touch screen route during my evaluation of what my needs were for various reasons. One of the most important being that I have a Windows 10 Desk Top computer for my primary system and I wanted a seamless interface. Other considerations were; I wanted a usable and functional keyboard, I wanted touch screen for convenience, I wanted a computer that could handle anything short of gaming, I wanted awesome graphics, I wanted optimal memory and SSD storage, I didn't want to break the bank. While I was looking around after being wowed by the Apple products I went back to the Windows 10 machines and found this Hp Spectre 360, 15" 2 in 1 with the specs that I was looking for. It was a beautiful machine but was 15" and bigger than what I thought I wanted. But it did have the memory card reader that the 13" machine didn't have. And, it was going to be on sale on Black Friday. I left the store and went home and read all of the reviews on this machine. It's not the fastest top end machine on the market, but those machines are $1000.00 more than this machine. For the price range it is one of the best machines on the market. About the only negative I read about it was that it gets a little warm in your lap while using it, and it does, but it's really not that bad. Bottom line: This is an incredible Bad @$$ machine!!! You can use it as a laptop or tablet and if you have a Windows 10 system in your office or home the interface is incredibly easy. So far I am loving it!

I have had this laptop for a month now. I finally replaced my desktop with a laptop! I had a core i7-2600K overclocked to 4Ghz with an SSD and 8Tb of hard drives. While running external hard drives is slower than the internal ones of the desktop, this laptop is amazingly quick when using those drives. The laptop and its internal SSD are far quicker than my previous desktop with Photoshop 5.5, Office, Pinnacle Studio 18, and anti-virus. A cold boot is 40 seconds including login, and a reboot is 25 seconds. Windows Hello really speed up login! All startup apps are up and running in that 25 seconds. I have not had any issues with keys or touchpad when I use in tablet mode handwriting into OneNote. It is bigger and heavier than my Surface Pro 4, but I did sell off the Surface once I was happy with this laptop's features. I use this laptop all over the house, inside and out. But mostly it is attached to an IOGear docking station with 2 USB3 external drives, a 4k monitor, and Pioneer Blu-Ray burner. All that, and sound, come out the USB-C port. I have a large iTunes library, 180Gb, so I have a 200Gb SDXC chip permanently installed in the laptop's reader. Slow to write, but once the data is there I always have audio and video with no issues. And, this is one of the prettiest laptops I've seen, Copper Ash!

I purchased this $400 off during Black Friday and it has proven to be exactly what I needed and wanted. The fit and finish is tight. A tiny bit of flex when closed between the hinges and the same on the bottom panel. Image quality is very good. Movies, text, photos have excellent clarity and color, though I did tweak windows text scaling a bit. And the sound, for laptop speakers, is fine. Slightly tinny, but my hearing isn't the best anyway. The good volume helps :) The touchpad takes a bit to get used to, but is high quality in spite of needing a bit too much pressure to click and the touchscreen with both finger and pen is wonderful. Mine did not come with (and was not advertised with) a pen. I purchased a Bamboo Duo. I'm still learning windows Ink and what it can do. Tablet mode is pretty sweet. There's enough weight that I wouldn't carry it around all day, but it's super comfortable most situations. On initial setup, I recommend running the HP support assistant first for the bios and tools updates, then prepare for a good deal of windows updates. Well worth it. Summary - I had a LOT of reservations getting rid of my MacBook pro and buying this as a replacement. So far, I'm rather enamored with Windows 10, and will not be going back to a Mac :) I have already recommended this laptop to several coworkers as well. A powerhouse laptop/tablet that's ight enough to carry for long stretches, has all the tools I need to do everything I need, and a battery that has lasted me 8 hours + with normal tablet usage, a bit of video and lots of emails and note taking while surveying sites. And a great 4k screen to enjoy some movies during downtime. It isn't perfect, but it is close. Great job HP.

Got a really good deal on this at Best Buy. I think it was $1399 at the time. Overall, it's a pretty good laptop. As with any device, it has its pros and cons. Sidenote: I'm still getting used to Windows after using a Mac exclusively for the last 7 years. The Pros: Best hardware configuration that I could find for the price Laptop design is attractive Laptop build seems pretty solid so far 4k screen is bright and looks great No complaints about performance thanks to powerful hardware The Cons: The trackpad is sometimes frustrating because it's not as precise as my old Macbook Keyboard is not bad but like the Macbook's better Speakers are just ok. Not a big deal for most people I'd assume Like I said, overall it's a pretty good laptop. My biggest complaint is the trackpad. I'm so used to the great one that is on the Mac that it's sometimes frustrating to use this one. If you're not used to the Mac trackpad, this may not be a big deal.

I had gone with the previous generation via open box with the 7550U cpu and because of the huge enhancement to the architecture Intel released with the 8550U I had to return it and go with this model. Some processor design gymnastics was done to go from a 2 to 4 core processor by lowering the idle frequency but jumping up the turbo frequency. Just check out some of the bench marks out there for the 8550u compared to the 7550u and its astonishing. However as I will mention later in the review some of these benchmarks can be misleading. So I'm going to write this review a little differently by listing what I absolutely love about it and then some challenges I see coming up trying to put all this power in an ultra book chassis. Pros: laptop charges through USB-C, convertible 2-1,Lightning fast ssd, 4 core 8th gen intel processor, Thunderbolt 3 port , onboard audio I am enjoying, stunning 4K glossy display, and a rakishly built chassis, comes with high quality travel sleeve. Ability to add an external eGPU....yes I said an external eGPU, the Spectre x360 has played very friendly with this technology(in short ability to run desktop graphic cards through thunderbolt 3 port, lots of success stories out there) From an ergonomic and design perspective, I would recommend seeing this laptop in person, the Spectre series, last generation and this generation, are absolutely beautiful. Really have not encountered anything negative yet however I am seeing the following potential issue, Synonymous to having a big car engine under the hood but not enough road to test it out. For the car it would be available road, for this laptop it would be temperature constraints on the cpu I'm getting excessive cpu throttling(meaning to cool unit cpu speed is cut, so although it can turbo up to near 4k frequency you might be pinned at 1.8k because of cpu throttling). Running initial tests on temperatures I am seeing this. For multi threaded driven applications I see this not being much of a problem. But single threaded may cause premature throttling. I'm still looking into this, I would recommend an external vacuum cooler to explore solutions to this). I haven't spent much time in the BIOS yet but some BIOS all intel step technology to be disabled which could alleviated some of these symptoms but research is showing HP has removed this from the BIOS. For my test I had the cpu load at 100% per core, and my cpu was pinned to near 1.8 rather than the full cpu capacity. The laptop was doing prime number analysis on a 4 cores in a well ventilated room and position. If anyone finds heating solutions for this please let me know! I am curious.

I've had my computer for a week and so far I am pleased with my purchase. I extensively researched before buying and believe this is a good compromise of specs vs price. It is fast, solidly built, and the 4K display is stunning. My cons - the fan is loud when it is comes on, it gets warm when holding on my lap, the battery life is less than I expected, I find it heavy and a bit awkward to hold in hand as a tablet (I usually use it in tent mode), and I'm disappointed that it did not come with the stylus. Overall though, I'm happy and hope it will hold up over time.

I got this product at $500 discount on Black Friday. The keyboard is awesome(and this comes from a person using Razer Blackwidow). The trackpad is huge compared to other windows laptop but nothing exceptional about it. The audio quality is definitely above average. The most amazing thing about this laptop is the 4K display and the battery life that it provides. I can just run it for 6-7 hours on continuous use with music in background and PyCharm in the foreground. I have not yet tried gaming on this but all in all, It is definitely a good product.

I loved the laptop at first. The design was amazing. Pros: I liked that it was nice and thin but not too thin. The 4k screen looks fantastic! The touchscreen is very nice also. The keyboard was very nice too. Con: For some reason, the SSD makes this electronic screeching noise. It's not too noticeable at first because you're excited about the laptop but when you're all alone, and it's quite in the room, you can hear this thing! It's so annoying that I wanted to throw up. You know when you have a migraine, and you feel like throwing up? That's how it felt. This was the biggest con for me. Also, when you're on your desktop, the fans kick in when nothing is open or running. Conclusion: If you're over the age of 40, you will not hear this noise but if you're a young individual. It will bother you. I had my brother listen to it and he confirmed that it makes noise.

PRO: Very good outlook and gives extremely good feeling. The touchpad is designed well and has a Mac-like feeling. The screen is astonishing. Keyboard is decent. Optimization is ok, change through different modes smoothly, sometimes makes mistakes though (like 10% of time). CON: Heat up too much. It will just heat up if you don't shutdown but only let it sleep. Not to mention if doing heavy job, this thing can cook an egg. The hinge is a little loose, but won't be a big problem for using. It is heavier than I thought, not really convenient for tablet kind of use.
