First of all very impressive packaging for this laptop. From the first moment it gave the impression of a top notch product.
The laptop itself is pretty good but I can't say it blew me away.
A few things I didn't like:
-Its keyboard layout was difficult for me as I was used to different layouts, but I guess that's a personal thing and might not apply to everyone.
-Something about the screen felt a bit off to me. Even though this was supposed to be a much better product the screen of my older Dell laptop felt much better to look at, even though I can't really put my finger on what it was that felt off to me.
-The computer did tend to run hot.
-A few of the buttons on this laptop are located in weird locations. Took me a while to even figure out where the On/Off button is. Can't say a lot of thought was put into that.
Aside from the above the laptop had solid performance with decent battery life.

I was really disappointed in my purchase of the HP Envy last year. The Bang & Olufsen speakers started crackling within 2 weeks of use and the left hinge broke within a year. I spent the extra few hundred to upgrade to a Spectre this time and I didn't regret it. The graphics are decent, the memory/storage are great, and the speakers work wonderfully! The battery has lasted about 8 hours for me with full brightness while I'm multitasking using apps like Zoom and Word. As for the loud fan, I only hear it when the laptop has been running for a few hours while it is plugged in.

Bought this laptop to replace the old HP Spectre 360 2-in-1 13-inch HD touch screen laptop that my daughter was using for college since 2015.
My daughter was really impressed with the new Spectre 360 laptop. The Ultra HD touch screen is really impressive when compared side-by-side with the old Spectre 13-inch and my HP Envy 17-inch HD touch screens. It also seems to work faster when using the Microsoft 365 applications compared to the other two laptops.
She said that this will be a very good tool for work and for her post-graduate education.

I was looking for a computer to use for working from home. Originally I purchased the Lennovo C940. I had it for less than 48 hours and it overheated several times. Twice it completely shut down and rebooted due to heat. I tried all the tweaks recommended on the web, but nothing helped. I returned it, and a sales person recommended this HP Spectre. I was very cautious because I didn't want to get another computer that had this issue. After owning it for over a month, I cannot say enough good things about this computer. It runs smoothly, has a fantastic touch screen, and no overheating issues. The fan does kick on from time to time, but nothing out of the norm. I have to be on video a lot for my job, and the webcam isn't that great, but not many laptops have fantastic webcams. I would highly recommend this laptop.

The software programs may have problems

This is a very nice laptop, light weight, powerful, and fast. I have this new laptop for less then one month, I like it. However, the software programs have problems with antiviral programs. For example, Trend Micro Internet Security (3-Device) made the laptop completely non-functional, could not use any browser. You can not even use Best Buy online help line to fix it because you cannot online to download anything as their instruction. You have to take the laptop in stone for customer service in person. When I use Photoshop program, the program was frozen every few minutes. When I checked Task Manager, found the antiviral program Malwarebytes was on. After I turned off the antiviral program, Photoshop was not frozen. I am not sure if the software with the laptop has any problem or not.

Pros: 4k WLED Screen, bezels, num pad, windows hello IR face recognition, USB C (both thunderbolt and 3.1), micro sd card port, full HDMI port
Cons: No ethernet port, only one USB type A, dedicated GPU is on the low end
With such a small bezel around the screen the size of the laptop almost gets to some larger 13.3 inch laptops with a total width of 14.2 inches. I use the number pad religiously so I very much needed it. Only having one USB type A port is tough when you have a wireless mouse that will always take that up. With no dedicated Ethernet port, kinda puts a downer on those extra fast internet speeds.
You should not be getting this laptop purely because it has a dedicated GPU. This GPU is just powerful enough to take the load off the CPU. It works well enough for non-graphically intense games (i.e, Wither 3, Skyrim, etc). But works well enough with games that don't focus on graphics.
The fans get kinda loud under load but no high pitch fan noise that I can hear.
Overall, this laptop is fantastic. Highly recommend.

great looking laptop. its a little heavier than i expected, but not a deal breaker. Startup is very fast and the login with facial recognition worked every time. The touchpad seemed overly sensitive which to me was the only negative. Haven't used the pen yet so i can't comment on that. Keyboard layout and speakers are excellent. Tablet mode worked as expected.
Overall fit and finish was excellent. Great laptop great price. Pleased so far after about 30 day ownerships

Researched HP Spectre vs. Apple MacBook Pro and purchased Spectre on sale for much less than equivalent MacBook Pro. HP Spectre has similar or better features than MacBook Pro. Extremely pleased with 10th Gen Intel I7 processor speed and laptop keyboard layout. 4K UHD display is outstanding! Highly recommend HP Spectre over Apple MacBook Pro.

I've been looking for a laptop for a while but I wasn’t finding anything as nice as the one that I had for 5 years. It was a regular laptop but with a touch screen. I wanted another laptop, not a tablet or “book” but I did want the touch screen. This HP is a convertible so can also be used like a tablet. It is thin so not too bulky. It has a webcam kill switch so you can easily turn the camera off until you want it on (no more sticky notes covering the camera.) It comes with a stylus pen and a leather sleeve for the laptop which has a slot for the pen (I did not know about the pen slot until someone else wrote about it). It also has the 10 keypad that I was looking for. Although this laptop is smaller than my previous laptop, this has a big screen space. I have had this laptop for a couple of months now and I really love it. It is quiet (no fan noise), doesn’t get hot to the touch and is quick. I didn’t want to spend so much for a laptop but it has been well worth the price.

I had the 2017 version of this laptop up until a few months ago when it slowly started dying on me. I looked into other “better” brands but HP has honestly never let me down. The design and quality of this computer is great. You feel a quality product in your hands. I love the 2 in 1 touchscreen I can never go back. I am a diehard Apple fan except when it comes to laptops. I can’t stray from this guy for my work needs. 10/10!

The main purpose for buying this model was because of high demands on the graphics end for work. I constantly use Adobe Illustrator CC, MS PowerPoint (along with the other MS Office suite apps) and have multiple web browser tabs open at any given time. Even with several slideshows open, a couple of Illustrator files open, and several browser tabs, the system hasn't bogged down like my previous laptops had, even after they'd had extra memory and SSD storage added to them. So far, it's a solid machine that seems to be able to handle the demands I'm placing on it.

Well to start with the good things
Looks and built.
Does it get hot?
Yes, with specs like this I wasn't expecting it to become hot, the way it does with just an hour of lil heavy work.
Battery life..just ok 2 to 3 hr max.
Display: awesome and mind blowing
Speakers: ok for a laptop speaker.
Weight: too heavy for the 15 inch..feels like dumbells.
Pen: nice but if your palm touches the screen while writing, the screen moves, so not with the likes of apple pen.
My advice: go for the newer macbook air with M1 if you're not hell bent for the looks or the windows platform.
Overall: A nice buy for $999 on sale.

Absolute Powerhouse of a 2-in-1 Laptop

This laptop is excellent. Hasn't skipped a beat while processing. Touchscreen is very responsive. Only issue is that touchscreen is a bit too sensitive and responds while I am moving the laptop at times. Other than that, this is an elite powerhouse of a 2-in-1 laptop that should be able to handle even the most brutal of processes under normal circumstances. I personally constantly have 4 desktops open populated with various software, dozens of tabs, and even Matlab running computations.

So far, I have not found a single thing wrong with this device. I absolutely LOVE the size of it, and the functionality. I received a leather sleeve and an HP tilt pen with my purchase. The display looks amazing with the 4K. The looks, just tops it all off. I am in love with the brushed rose gold look on the sides. I am beyond satisfied with my purchase! I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

As a college student, I love every aspect of this computer! From the sleek and beautiful design, to its speed, it is definitely considered a premium laptop. Its battery life is wonderful as well: I used it to perform video calls from 7:30am until 3pm, and the battery was still at 48%. Furthermore, the active pen that comes with it is magnetic, so it can easily stick to the side of the computer. The faux leather sleeve that is included also comes with a spot for the pen, so there is no reason to worry about it getting lost. The 2 in 1 aspect of this computer is better than I could've expected. In tablet mode, yes, this laptop is pretty large, but it's what you'd expect from purchasing a 15" laptop. Its hinges are very sturdy and stiff, so I have no worries that they will wear-out the more they're used. Overall, I think for the price (even better when it goes on sale!) and the functionality, it is a great laptop to purchase for the office, school, or even at home.

I bought this mainly for going back to school, and while it was an over kill in what I needed it for I'm happy with the purchase. If you can afford it Id say go for it, I know it's a little pricey and in all honesty was able to get with with a few Best buy gift cards from my birthday, however from a user experience I really enjoyed the look, weight, finish and ports located on this laptop. The pen that comes include is a nice touch esp with everyone else trying to sale you their add on pen. The webcam is ok to say the least, but most laptop webcam aren't going to compare to a 3rd party webcam. Sound is pretty nice for the size of the laptop, the ports are perfect for what I need and I enjoy having the option of a HDMI connection too. While I haven't tried to many keyboard and unfortunately when I went to go check the Dell XPS, it was sold out so I can't tell you if it's better or not. I will say that if your planning on moving around with this laptop get a book bag because it's not the heaviest thing in the world but with the build quality you can def feel the weight in the materials used. Speaking of materials the finish and diamond cuts are something that makes it stand out, I like the placement of the power button and how its off to the back which is easy to veiw the status of the charge when folded and charging. I haven't had any issue with battery but I'm always next to a power source, however there's plenty of information and other reviews who's tested out the battery life on this laptop that I recommend going to check out. Screen is great, didn't go with oled because I didn't plan on using this as a media content hog and figured it also help me with battery life, blacks are good, colors pop and the resolution is crisp in my opinion. Overall happy with the little beast of a laptop and if things happen to change down the road I'll update my review.

I was going through laptops and thinking I wanted a 13inch. I had originally ordered the Samsung Flex Alpha 13". But when I saw this one came out and went on sale, decided it just looks amazing, and with all the specs I wanted I ended up returning the Samsung. I have to say, it does run hot when you're running games. You do hear the fan kick in. The HP command center lets you control the temperature. There is windows hello face recognition which works really well. I tried having my daughter sign in, use a picture to sign in, and it only works with my face. The keyboard is a full keyboard. It comes with a magnetic pen and sleeve. I haven't used the pen much, but it seems ok. It starts up really fast. It also charges with the old barrel charger or the usb-c port. It is heavy but feels solid, and nice! No complaints so far!

this unit has great looks .. feels sturdy yet not heavy. The screen is super clear and sharp .. as with any SSD it is very fast. some have complained about battery charge life. I have been experiencing about 6 hrs. with the screen on almost full brightness. I do turn the illuninated keyboard off so not sure how much that helps .. I would recommned this unit. If you are planning on using this for all around use, it is more than adequate
