Wish I went bigger, that's what everyone probably says. It does the job. Buyer beware, it only takes HP paper and ink. Can be a bit of a hassle. I also haven't looked into cheaper ink options, probably not worth it with the tech these days. There are no shortcuts around quality.

Love it got it for Mother’s Day to do some scrap booking

I’ve seen other types of printers and this is the cherry on top. It displays it very clean and perfect, only thing is is that each picture takes about 1 minute to print but that’s how it goes I still Love it and it was the perfect gift for my Wife’s birthday. She is having a lot of fun with it not to mention you can customize pictures through the app.

These types of small, personal tech devices, I really find cool and totally fun to use. So I was interested to try this HP Sprocket Studio out and compare its features to another photo printing device I have. But for the purposes of this review, I’ll only be highlighting my experience with the HP Sprocket. First off, it was bigger than I’d thought it would be. Not that that’s a downside or anything negative. On the contrary. The HP Sprocket Studio is just the size it needs to be for what it does. And what it does, it does well. Before I get further into my review, I do need to state this outright. As with many tech devices, there is an App you are required to use. I knew this going in and had it downloaded before I even got the Sprocket Studio. I’m not opposed to using an app with my tech, not at all. But what I am, once again, frustrated about, is that the “paperwork” which comes with the device, is non-existent. There is none. No owner’s or user’s manual, just a simple card telling you to download the app and follow the setup instructions. Some tech apps have a user manual you can read in the settings, which wasn’t the same as I experienced here. In the app, under ‘How To & Help’, if you tap on that, a browser will open and you will have to either login to an existing HP account, create one, or bypass that and try clicking on the offerings available, none of which gave me what I was looking for, which was simply - a PDF of the User’s Guide. Eventually, I gave up on that and did a simple online search to find what I needed. It shouldn’t have to be this hard. And I did need to have the features explained to me, what they were, how to use them, what the cute little icons meant, etc. I felt like I was fumbling around in the dark trying to figure all this stuff out. Which normally could have been fun, the trial and error, discovery aspect. But it wasn’t. So this would be something HP can, and should, improve upon. Now then, onto my review. Once you do have the app installed, as stated, it does take you through the setup procedure, step by step, and in no time, you’re ready to go. Using the app, you can edit pictures stored on your phone or even from your social media account, customizing them with filters, frames, stickers, and text to print as photos to keep or share. The HP Sprocket Studio does come with 4”x6” sticker photo paper, so you can get right in there and see what this little device can do. Quality of the printed ‘sticker’ photos was bright, clear, crisp; no issues there. Dare I say, nearly store quality printing. And actually, simply watching the printing process was fun in and of itself. If you purchase one, you’ll see what I mean. However, one of the features I was really interested in trying - Reveal - I wasn’t able to get to work for me, which was a bit of a bummer, because it sounds pretty cool. Not even after following the directions in the User’s Guide, could I figure out what I might be doing wrong. I’ll keep experimenting with it though, as I continue to enjoy all that this handy little photo printer is capable of. I’m particularly interested in creating photo collage boards for my current work projects, and also discovering the many ways I can use this device in designing promotional or marketing materials. And as the holidays draw near, I’m looking forward to creating photo cards to send out to family and friends. This HP Sprocket Studio is a handy-to-have personal photo printer, and is just plain fun to use. So get creative!

Complete junk, printed one picture and now every time I go to print it says “ replace printer cartridge”. Three new cartridges and still the same red light and no pictures. Reached out to HP and revived no response. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
