I have the original sprocket, while I was already impressed by the photo quality, I wasn’t a fan of small printed photos since I don’t do scrapbooks. I am more into photo albums. Needless to say I was ecstatic when HP released this Sprocket Studio which prints 4x6 photos. The performance of this tiny printer goes hand in hand with the performance of the HP Sprocket app. Installing the printer is a breeze and the app gives you step by step instructions which are easy to follow. Once the printer is connected with the app, you just select any photos from your gallery (you have to allow access to your gallery or you can also take photos directly through the app). You can edit - add texts, stickers, borders, change filters - the photo via the app. The app has variety of design options, I was tempted to try each one of them! I love the stickers feature which also has milestones stickers I can use for my baby’s photos. From the time I clicked the print button, it took about 73 seconds to finish printing one photo. The photo quality is great, sharp and the colors are balanced. Obviously you can edit your photos through the app to make it more appealing. The printer came with a cartridge and 10 photo papers. I haven’t printed a lot so I am not sure how long the cartridge will run out of ink before you have to buy a new one. For the price I wished it comes with more photo papers though. But all in all I’m highly satisfied with this tiny photo printer and will recommend.

Nice little printer from HP. The Sprocket Studio prints up to 4x6, which is the largest of their sprocket line, powered by the HP Sprocket App. This is great for people who are taking primarily phone photos and want to print some, but don't care to buy prints online or from a photo shop. This printer is Bluetooth and portable, but not designed to be used on the go as it is packaged. It can be used with an optional battery and I think they make a carrying case for it as well, that would make it work better on the road. Print quality is surprisingly good because of the sublimated dye ink. The best part of this kind of ink is that it will not dry out as easily as regular ink printers that you're used to from HP. Refills include 80 sheets of paper and a dye ribbon and clock in somewhere in the $0.45/photo. Prints do take about 35 seconds, and if you watch it will actually apply one color at a time. Lots of options in the Sprocket app like a print queue and filters. Build quailty is solid with textured white plastics and a nice speckled design on the top. I would almost descrbe the aesthetics as an "iWhite" but it's more modern than that. Overall this thing works great and I like it a lot. If you aren't someone who already has a nice inkjet at home, but you enjoy making an occasional print, this is for you!

This printer was bigger than I expected. Still small enough to put away. Easy set up, quick printing. Nice quality pictures. This is great for scrap booking, making personalized pictures. I like using it.

The easiest setup of a printer I've had so far! Works from my note 10 perfectly. I love watching the photo paper run through the machine 4 times to lay down the color layer by layer. I haven't priced the ink cartridge or paper yet, but for 4x6 prints, I wouldn't hesitate to use this before any other printer.

The printer is very cute and looks great on a shelf. The prints come out looking great and it’s convenient to have quick photo printing at home. Setup is quick and easy. I had a photo printed in under five minutes of opening the box. However the large unusual footprint of the machine and the expensive photo paper outweigh the practicality, unless you’ve got the desk/office space and money to burn.

The printer does exactly what it says and prints high quality photos. Setup is fast and easy, all done from the app. I highly recommend this photo printer if you're looking for a device that prints high quality photos.

Photo Printer looks so cool and cute. I really liked the design, shape and look. The package comes with everything except installation setup, which you can get it in app, Once you install the app, that will guide you on installation setup which is good and straight forward. You get some 4"x 6" Cards with the printer, so that you can use the printer right away. Pros: 1. Good design, looks cute. 2. Photo app is good. 3. Price Cons: 1. I did not like the quality of the photo. The biggest disappointment for me is quality of the photo, I printed some random pics from my iPhone, some photos with high visibility light, some low light, portrait photo etc... Honestly if i compare printed photo with whatever i see in my phone, i see look and feel differences, I agree quality will change when compare to phone, but i have seen photo printers which give good quality. I am not saying this is bad, It is not up to my expectations mark. But we should also consider the price :) not just quality, I feel for the listed price it is worth to consider.

I have a little experience with some of these mini printers, and this one is definitely the best of the ones I've used so far. The prints are spectacular and look like quality photo prints you get from the store. The 4"x6" size is also a plus since I found the smaller 2"x"3 from other offerings to be too small. The software works well and provides some basic adjustments and augments for your print, but so far it appears there's only software to connect to the printer from your phone - no desktop version. This seems very limiting. Another thing I've noticed is that, although the prints are very nice, they also tend to printer a little darker; so keeping your photos on the bright side will help. The software does have bright/hue/saturation adjustments, but honestly I didn't see much of a difference in the output. Replacement paper may also seem a bit expensive, however it does come with a replacement print cartridge. All in all, this is a fantastic printer and the best I've seen in this category.

I've always wanted one of these, and I'm so happy to have one! This photo printer hooks right to your phone through bluetooth , and it is SO easy to use. The Sprocket app walks you through every step of installation, as well as shows you all of the fun says you can edit your photos before printing. I'm having so much fun with it already! It's also nice to be able to print a picture straight from my phone without having to go to a store or something. Very convenient!

    Not worth the money

Bought this for my wife. Worked for a couple months and then wouldn’t connect to her phone. Tried uninstalling the app, restarting the printer, changing the paper and changing the cartridge. The paper jammed on the perforations four different times and then when we took out the cartridge to check it and it won’t go back in. HP has been impossible to get ahold of. Not worth the money and time spent. Just use a photo printing service.

Never worked. Didn’t get one picture printed before it started malfunctioning and ruined the cartridge. Wanted to exchange it, but Best Buy’s exchange policy for Christmas gifts is a joke and way shorter than many of their competitors. Overall a pretty bad experience.
