    Very Unique Compact Printer

First and foremost, I got the HP Tango printer primarily for printing photos and was impressed with the visual quality in the photos I have printed. The HP Tango has a small, compact design that makes it easy to put anywhere there is an outlet, and with a wireless connection it doesn’t have to be near your computer to use it. You do need to download the app to use this printer whether it be on your cell phone, laptop or PC. With the app on your phone you can print from anywhere, even away from home. The app lets you know when you are low on ink and will order it for you (if you have it set up with a credit card and print 50 pictures or more a month at a minimal cost). I personally don’t print a whole lot of pictures and don’t think I need this particular feature, but if you do print up to or over 50 pictures in a month this would be the way to go. It has high color resolution so you can print good quality photos, brochures, etc. Prints borderless photos up to 5 x 7, otherwise there is a small border around an 8 x 10. There are only two ink cartridges to worry about. The printer comes with a tricolor and a black ink cartridge and they are not very expensive to replace. It is compatible with Alexa Echo, Google Assistant and Cortana. I haven’t had a need to set this up as yet. However, this is just a nice added feature. I highly recommend this printer for average use.

    Neat little printer

It came packaged well with a card telling me to plug it in, download the app, and follow instructions from the app. If you can find apps in the app store, you'll do fine with setup. They gave clear instructions for each step with visuals--quite the nice process. It comes with the ink and a few 4x6 photo sheets for you to test printing photos. You'll need to supply your own plain paper. When I printed a photo through the HP app, the quality wasn't that great and I was a little disappointed. However, when I went to my photo library on my phone and printed directly from there, the photo printed edge-to-edge and looks great! I went ahead and signed up for the instant ink, since on our other printer I pay $36 or more for ink, probably once a year or so. It says photos printed from your phone that are 5x7 or smaller don't count against your monthly page plan, so that's nice that they won't count against the page count in the plan. It's a nice small footprint for wherever you need to place it. It was easy to setup on both my phone/app and Mac. It showed right up in my printers available for both devices after installation. The doc print wasn't quite as crisp as I'd like, and the cost is a little higher than other printers, but with the super easy setup and use I would prefer to rate his 4.5 stars. If you need a scanner and super high quality document printing, this probably isn't for you. If you do occasional "regular household" and photo printing, I'd recommend you consider it.

Being I'm a big HP fan, I was sorely disappointed with this printer. I didn't buy it just because it was an HP, but because of it being so compact. Kicked off our wireless network when I tried to make it work, ended up returning it for another printer of a different brand

    Disconnects frequently - a pain

The printer keeps disconnecting and is near impossible to get reconnected. It is extremely frustrating and in my opinion not worth the time, nor is it reliable. Probably end up spending more with ink because half the time I can’t even use the printer but still get charged monthly for the instant ink subscription. I will say, the picture quality is great when I am able to print.

I loved this printer at first, and I had no challenges setting it up initially. However after changing internet providers and trying to reset up the printer, I've changed my mind. There is no quick or easy way to change your network settings. You have to completely delete the printer and set it up all over again. That is not a huge problem, but it took almost 2 hours to reconnect. I received several random errors from network connectivity to not being able locate the printer. After the 3rd time turning off and on the printer, it finally, magically decided to connect. I'm in my 20's and would consider myself tech savy, but I almost threw out this 8 month old printer from being frustrated. The troubleshooting was irritating, because HP's suggestion was to set up through a cable that this printer does not have.

Installing it on my other computers (3) seemed like a lot of trouble to do. If I'm on a network and sharing, it should recognize the printer. Also, the power button is on the back and that's not easy to get to without turning the printer around. A little disappointed in HP with this model.

This has been a pain in the rear printer. I have had to delete and add printer each time I want to use it on the road. I have had to use several internet services which causes issues in setting this thing up. I have gotten it to work twice. I won't go wireless again.

the only way to interact with this printer is wirelessly so ebery time it would print a sheet with instructions all i could think about wa there goes moe ink or there goes another wasted sheet of paper even though i would feed the same sheet as many times as i could. this primter has no mwnu screen that ca be read neither did i like the fact that i needed to press a combimation of several buttons and i6t was hard to keep track of which ones weer long press and which ones short, it didnt even come with instru tions in the box . I returned it. the only thing it had going for it was it came with a sample of botht the color and the black ink but when i returned it without ever getting it to work the ink was over 3/4 gone (black) and the printer report said i had printed 68 pAGES.

The only reason I don’t like this printer is because it relies heavily on your phone via the HP app.

Half the time I need to print something this printer has some kind of connectivity issue, unjustified blocked cartridge error message that only goes away after a reset. There's some kind of bug where the printer won't print if it's plugged into an extension cord and not directly into the wall socket (confirmed with HP support). Wasted a lot of time with this printer for something basic that should just work...
