If I could give it 0 stars, I would. It seems like it would be easy to set up but it’s absolutely not. I had so many issues with my first one so I took it back, I got another one but then I had a whole other set of issues. I’ll Definitely be returning this one as well. I would highly recommend not wasting $200 on a printer when there are many cheaper ones that are easier to use.

      Hi Caroline,

It's so disappointing to hear that both printers posed these issues. To that, I'm incredibly sorry that the setup process was anything less than seamless. It certainly shouldn't be so complicated, so I can fully understand how inconvenient this must have been. Despite these first impressions, I do want to assure you that it's always our intention to provide a reliable printer experience.

I know you mentioned returning the printer, but I just wanted to remind you that we're always here to provide support. Ensuring that your printer is working the way it should be is a huge priority of ours. With that said, I hope you'll consider getting in touch with us via call or chat at this link: hp.com/contactHP

If you'll allow us, we look forward to making this right.

I was informed this was easy to use and operate. That the xl ink cartridges would print between 200 and 300 prints, 4x6 or 5x7's. It would not operate wirelessly, had to get an ethernet cord to operate it on location. Went through two sets of xl ink cartridges just printing (100) 5v7 prints.

      Hey,

I'm very sorry hear that the printer isn't performing as promised. It's always our aim to provide a reliable experience in every aspect, so I regret that we fell short here. To that end, I'd really like to see how I can help rectify the concerns you noted.

With regards to issues setting up the printer wirelessly, I have a few recommendations for you:
      1. Ensure the Pen door is closed
      2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (at the back of the printer) for 5 seconds
      3. Confirm that the printer is in AWC mode (indicated by rotating blue light)
      4. Power cycle the printer and network router or gateway and try to connect again
      5. Enter WPS Push Button mode by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi and Power buttons for at least 3 seconds

I also have some tips for lowering ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. If you have and are still using quite a bit, Instant Ink might just be worth a try. Many customers like our available plans as they're based on how many pages you print monthly instead of the ink itself. This works out really well and ultimately saves you money, especially when printing a high-density photo or document. For more details, you can visit this link: HPinstantink.com

If this troubleshooting doesn't provide a resolution, please contact us for further support. We'd be more than happy to help, so you can get in touch anytime via this link: hp.com/contactHP

Was anticipating using this so that my grandkids could print out their pictures from their phones when they were here. Broke after a total of 20 pictures.

      Hey Lori,

I'm incredibly sorry that the printer has stopped working properly after only 20 photos. This is very disappointing to hear and, I assure you, far from the reliable experience we intended on providing. That said, I'd like to make sure we get this addressed for you.

First, I'd like to mention that HP printers generally come with a 1-year warranty from their date of purchase. This warranty covers scenarios of this nature, so I hope you'll make use of it if you need to. You can verify the status of your warranty here: support.hp.com/checkwarranty

Then, I recommend contacting us for support so we can either troubleshoot this or arrange for a replacement printer under warranty. You can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process, you can gather these beforehand:
      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Your case number (from prior contact with support)

We look forward to making this right and again, sincerest apologies.
