Great bargain for the hp computer well beats the first apple computer.

Not sure if its me or the pen, but it doesnt register inputs on screen accurately. Over priced for sure.

Works great with my HP specter I use it every day in class!

Bought the Tilt Pen to replace the original pen that came with my Spectre x360. That pen was awesome, but it took a "AAAA" battery (who has those? No one!) so I was excited to find a rechargeable pen that promised even more levels of pressure sensitivity and all that cool stuff than the original. Besides, I misplaced the original pen, alas alas. Well, long story short, while this pen appears to have normal functionality in the Microsoft InkSpace world of apps, IT DOES NOT WORK WITH COREL PAINTER. Meaning, yeah, okay, it draws a line, but it doesn't have any pressure or velocity features as the pen that came with the laptop did when using COREL. Additionally, I tried using the Pen/Stylus control panel settings to program the buttons on the pen, and that didn't work either. The HP Pen control panel shows the 2-button pen that came with the laptop and will not correlate with this single button plus end button TILT PEN. So those functions are also useless. Further, there was NO INDICATION WHATSOEVER in the four pounds of paper that came with this pen HOW TO CHARGE IT. If you've never seen a USB-C port before you'll be baffled. And you also won't have a USB-C cable, which you'll have to buy if you want to charge the pen. The documentation with the pen refers to several colors of light indicators on the pen shaft, depending on how you are using the pen, what the battery level is, etc. Well, I can only get the pen to show a WHITE LIGHT, which is not one of the four different colors listed in the docs. Although I will say that the lousy documentation is at least provided in at least seventy different languages (and together weighs more than the pen!), which of course would be useful if you needed a kind of modern day Rosetta Stone. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this pen and I SO would NOT recommend it. I wish I could find my old pen, AAAA battery notwithstanding. Disclosure: I bought the pen directly from HP, and their customer service people know NOTHING about it. Nothing. Not even that it needs a USB-C cable to charge it. So what does that tell you? DON'T DO IT! RUN AWAY! Look, even the packaging wasn't finished when they shipped the pen! (See picture)

When reading this review, make sure to consider that I have only used it with the HP - Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive - Dark Ash Silver, model number 15-BL112DX, which I also purchased at Best Buy. I also have access to the newest Microsoft Surface Pen from my daughter new Surface Pro, and purchased a Wacom Bamboo Ink pen to try out and compare initially, so will highlight some differences from those pens. I'm into digital art/painting/sketching as a side hobby, and one of my first disappointments with the pen was that the tilt function doesn't work on the newest refresh of the Spectre X360 15" I purchased. However tilt is implemented, HP decided to only support it in one laptop so far, which is the newest 8th Gen refresh of the 13" Spectre X360. I would purchase that instead of the 15" for the tilt function, but I need the graphics card in the 15" for 3D modeling, so no tilt will have to be a compromise. The biggest issue is that HP doesn't really have any solid documentation on how tilt is implemented or what models are supported, and I only learned after a few hours of searching the net. HP has since posted a compatibility chart, but even that is confusing and doesn't break down support by features. I'm not sure if links are allowed here, but you can find it by searching "hp pen compatibility" in Google, and it is the first result. My second issue with the pen was that out of the three pens I tried mentioned above, it had the highest activation force required to initially register a pen stroke. This is something that was more irritating when I first started using the pen, but quickly faded as I got used to it and quit picking up either the Wacom Bamboo Ink or the Surface Pen. My third and final issue with the pen is that documentation is really poor, there isn't a support page for it yet on HP's website, and there is no mention anywhere on how to get replacement tips. The tip is replaceable, I just have no idea at this point whether I can purchase them somewhere, and if I can how. I contact HP's Support about this, and due to the language barrier from their obviously outsourced support they kept asking me if I wanted to set up a support ticket for a defective product to try and get a replacement. I haven't found a way to get in contact with a native English speaker to sort this out. This is a huge issue, because pen tips wear out, and they wear out quickly if you're using the pen consistently. This is the primary reason for the 3 star review right now, and me selecting "No" that I won't recommend it to a friend. If HP fixes this, gets a solid support page set up, and streamlines the ability to purchase replacement tips, or advises if other manufacturers' pen tips are compatible, then I will adjust my review accordingly. Otherwise, the pen is only as good for as long as the pen tip holds up and you have warranty left for a replacement of the whole pen if the tip goes. Now on to the positives. I can definitely tell by using it that the newest Spectre X360 15" is using all 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity it offers. I could draw the finest of lines with it, and both the Surface Pen and the Bamboo Ink couldn't come close. No matter how light I tried I couldn't get either pens to match the range of pen stroke variance i was able to achieve with the HP Tilt Pen. The rechargeable battery is a huge plus, in addition to the fact that the charger port on the pen is USB C which basically future proof's it against having to carry multiple charge cable types. The pen uses the eraser end as an eraser in every program I tried, which the Bamboo Ink didn't do (but the Surface Pen did). Bluetooth set up was a breeze and Windows Ink works well. The HP Tilt Pen didn't have as much pen jitter as the other too pens I tried (google AES pen jitter if you're unfamiliar with what that is), and produced the cleanest lines overall. It felt the best in the hand than the other two pens due to having a traditional round barrel, was significantly lighter than the Bamboo Ink, and besides initially having to adjust to the activation force required was the most pleasing to write/draw/paint with. The battery life was on the low side, I believe I got about 12-14 hours out of the first full charge, but it does charge fast. Overall it's a great pen, one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if HP gets the aforementioned issues sorted out. Until that happens, I see no other option but to keep the rating at one star due to the fact that even HP support has no idea about pen tip replacements.

I own the new HP Spectre x360 15" with the AMD Vega M graphics. This pen is amazing. Tilt works perfect and I get over 30ft and can use it as an air mouse. Just remember to install the latest HP drivers and go through your Windows Pen setting in the Windows settings area. Would recommend and purchase again.

As per the specs in the description, which I checked before buying, this is not compatible with ALL Spectres x360!!!! There isn't a pen for this laptop. It is total false advertisement. Specs should indicate which it's compatible with and which it is not.

This is the only pen that is completely compatible with the spectre. So far, I've used the Bluetooth from about 15 ft away and it works perfectly. It is way better than a mouse when laying on my bed with the laptop connected to the giant TV. It's like having a magic wand. It charges using the same charger that the computer uses. I have only good things to say about it although it won't right click in some apps like Google sketchup. FINALLY!!!!..........
