Capable for daily tasks and gaming at not maximum settings. Perfect mobile gaming solution away from your main set up. A bit heavy and only 1080p but great for the price and screen responsiveness.

Bought this for my daughter. She is a gamer and also ises it for school. This thing runs better, loads faster, and simply works better than most towers.
She has a full size monitor, keyboard, and mouse running on this.
It is an amazing laptop

Below are my pros and cons, but overall I needed a laptop to carry me through Computer Science and this laptop meets every requirement and can run some pretty heavy workloads - all while staying pretty quiet.
Pros: 16gb of ram in the current economy and shortage. Easily user upgradable ram and SSD (1 slot). The 4050 is strong enough for all games with new DLSS tech. 144hz screen.
Cons: the screen colors are noticeably lacking, everything just seems desaturated coming from a MacBook Air. Bad viewing angles and very reflective. The windows 11 version that came on it was very unstable and required me to reinstall the OS.

Bought this for my son who will be using it to produce music primarily, and to play occasional games. Out of the box, laptop is built well, keys are tactile, good feedback, screen is bright and crisp. Software being used are responsive, no lag, quick and effortless. Overall satisfied with the purchase, and at a great sale price. Meets everything we needed out of it and more.

If you wait long enough between hardware updates, the improvements are very impressive. This machine replaces an i7-8550U 1.8GHz machine with 16 GB (upgraded from original 8 GB) and integrated graphics. This laptop is quite peppy in contrast.
Thus far I have not had any performance issues with this laptop. Keyboard is acceptable, display colors are good. Battery life is slightly lower than the machine it replaces (which has a new battery installed replacing the original swollen pillow battery). I attribute this to the graphics.
My original shopping list included 1 TB SSD, but I accepted the 0.5 TB in this unit as sufficient.
Recommended when on sale.
