Customers highly value the Victus 15.6" laptop's performance, especially its impressive graphics capabilities and good price. Many appreciate the solid build quality and comfortable keyboard, although some find the battery life and RAM to be insufficient for their needs. The fan noise level also received mixed feedback.

Daily Computer - light gaming - entry level

Performance:
This is a typical entry-level laptop, suitable for everyday tasks. While it handles basic use well, it struggles with demanding applications like emulators or certain games. Any advertised 'gaming' capabilities likely refer to cloud streaming or pre-rendered video, not native high-performance gaming. Expect limitations in latency and frame rates, especially for competitive gaming.
Usability:
The laptop effectively fulfills its intended purpose: standard business tasks and web browsing. It manages multiple open tabs without noticeable slowdown, which was a pleasant surprise given my past experiences with HP systems. So far, the bios and other systems have been running smoothly.
Recommendation:
While it performs adequately for basic tasks, I wouldn't readily recommend it. For the same price, or with a bit more patience or savings, you could acquire a laptop with a dedicated graphics card like an RTX 3060, or even a mid-to-high-end system that would provide a much better gaming experience.
Battery:
The battery life is decent, and further optimization is possible through power-saving settings.

The Victis is a solid entry range gaming laptop, and there are no major issues with its build quality noticable after ~6 mo of usage. Some cons would be that the trackpad is a little slow-tracking at times (coming from a MacBook), and since the material is polymer (not metal) if you rest your hands on the space left and right of the trackpad it may “click”.

I purchased this laptop on a pre-Black Friday sale and it has been my daily driver for productivity ever since. Several weeks after purchasing it, I upgraded the RAM to 32GB and put a 2TB NVMe drive in it, which made it even more powerful. I’m not a gamer but do write and debug a lot of code. I’ve had no issues doing that. The only negative is there is no “Home” button on the keypad, being replaced by a quick key to the HP Omen app for gaming. You can’t readdress that button, no matter how hard I’ve tried.

My personal honest review. If you need a laptop to game it holds pretty well. Really good for streaming and watching shows. Also the chassis seems sturdy to me. Am more a graphic screen type of guy so you pay for what you pay for.

This should be 5 stars, but i cant push it there...please read.
This product, at the price i paid "480 +tax + a ram upgrade" was actually impressive. For roughly the same price as the steamdeck oled, you get an APU that is generationally similar to a desktop 2060 (4gb), but a 1080p spec machine instead of the 720-900p. The performance is not at all what you might expect from entry level prices, this does what. The image quality, framerate, and diversity of titles it can run well, all impressive minus some standouts like indiana jones which is unfortunately not quite there, still bootable, but you can decide if 20fps is worth it. Lossless scaling makes this package even better, not a feature of the victus, but something that makes laptops like this stay relevant. If you can get it in the 16gb variant or better at under 550, thats the 5 star model. This is NOT, at least at the price its currently listed $800usd

Not a bad choice in laptops, especially if you want an out of the box ready to go gaming PC. Windows 11 is an absolute trash OS however, being forced to connect to the Internet to use the the laptop because it needs to update is absolute nonsense. While there are ways around this, the lack of options completely defeats the point of having a computer in the first place. And yes, Windows 11 is that bad I'd talk about it more that the laptop itself. Battery power seemed kinda iffy, but I have never had a laptop, so can't compare accurately.

This is a good gaming PC overall but it is a bit heavy! Not ideal for transporting to remote places. Graphics and speed are solid. Good choice for beginner-intermediate gaming levels.

Very good starter gaming laptop. Recommend putting a 32 gig Ram and a 2 tb ssd in right away. Out of the box won't play seige. Need the upgraded ram to play it.

I bought two for my nephews who are studying photography and graphic design, and they've worked without any problems with the graphically demanding programs that are necessary for their school. Not to mention a little fun with video games that run smoothly.

The Victus has better specs than my desktop and cost much less. I've only had it for about a week, it runs perfectly, it's very quiet, and is capable of handling 3D modeling smoothly. Also, it looks much more sleek than other chunky gaming laptops that stick out like a sore thumb. Good Price with Lots of Power…

Overall a great computer, super quick, responsive. Although, the battery drains quickly which is the only problem I have with it. I used this for university and some gaming. Black ops 3 specifically and it runs well! No crazy high settings though!

This is the laptop to buy for a budget gamer, definitely needs a ram upgrade though but isn’t too difficult to pull off at home. I use it for school as well, it’s a bit heavy to carry around all day and it’s slightly large for backpacks. Also the screen color accuracy is not the greatest, it’s something you won’t really notice until you compare with a second monitor, but again, for the price this is the laptop for a budget gamer.

Good for the on sale price under $500 and if you can upgrade the RAM yourself. 8GB RAM leaves it so sluggish as a gaming laptop. With only 4GB VRAM it isn’t the best for any big title game. Will run low settings decent. Runs the less demanding games well on high settings. For the money it’s worth it to start out in PC gaming in general
