I bought this laptop for my son who is starting college. It always surprises me how much of a better deal the gaming laptops are compared to normal ones when you're looking at performance. So far he loves it, I'll update this if we find any problems.

well went from a envy 360 to this HP Victus because a friend told me it was the best for my needs . Easy set up I did it myself & my friend checked it & said I did every thing right . But within just 3 weeks after setting up & using it deleted my internet wi-fi , no matter what was tried it would not recognize my internet service. So off to best buy for service , so the first guy couldn't get it to work either so I went looking for a new laptop , then another guy looked at it & seen it needed updates , ussually I have my laptop set on auto updates but I guess I forgot to do this ,so the new guy started the updates & it worked . Than just yesterday it happened again with the internet than i contacted HP and they told me it was with my Proxy through microsoft so yet again made an appt with geek squad , but my friend came & did some things & got it working again . so I cancelled my appt . But to be honest if it does it a third time i am replacing it , since every thing else in my house works on the same internet with no issues has to be the laptop .

Worked very well as an entry level gaming laptop. I do recommend it for someone who is just getting into gaming but doesn't have a ton to spend.

Good performance laptop for the price, graphics are decent, runs games well.

This is most likely the best computer I got for gaming yet. It has amazing graphics, is compatible with oculus and steam, and can also run games at max graphics. The only thing is because I didn’t buy the “better graphics pack” my background looks funky, but that’s fine!

I was looking for a basic laptop for my business than I saw this one for $449.00, and then I realize it’s also a gaming PC so with a little research I was sold. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I must say I am impressed excellent laptop for the price.

Although I wanted something faster; it's fast enough for this old guy. It could've been lighter, but I don't plan on moving it around too much. I'm not much of a gamer, but I love the added features. Now I can video chat with my doctors; when needed. I'll probably upgrade the SSD to something larger, but I'm in no hurry for now.

Its cheap and will get you by if you upgrade the ram, battery life sucks and is always needed to be plugged in when gaming but other things should last you around 2 hours of battery life,fans go crazy but can be turned down (do not recommend) but do buy a wireless mouse

Great PC for gaming on emulators and steam. A little expensive but not too bad. Gets too slow when low battery and have to plug in which other brands do not do, and battery goes kinda fast but other than that pretty powerful and it will suffice as long as your games do not need the highest most advanced graphics card out there.

I bought this computer during the Black Friday sale to play mmorpgs on the go. It has been able to run the game without issue. As expected, the battery drains very quickly and I can maybe get 1.5hrs of continuous gameplay. The only complaint is the touchpad gets in the way as your palms rest on top of the corners. It also seems slightly insensitive when you are trying to tap to click.

Amazing, great for the price and great performance

My daughters laptop was on its last legs so we opted to get this one for her gaming excursions and it has about 50times more memory RAM and the graphics are so much more than her old one. It was also $320off regular price and that was a deciding factor in the purchase of this specific laptop.

Excellent entry level gaming laptop. The 8GB factory RAM is sufficient but more would be preferred. Upgraded it to 128GB RAM. Plays just about all the newer games with some lag but not extremely noticeable. Sounds is decent but its a laptop, so don't expect quality low end sound. Dock the laptop for bigger screen and sound, but you may lose some quality and speed.

Love that it is modular and ready to handle everyday tasks but i dont love the screen resolution and brightness ans hoped the battery could last longer Overall its amazing and comfortable, keyboard layout is great and has all the necessary features. Web cam is decent, super wide view and audi is alright. Has a ethernet port as well which is great and rare on most laptops
