Customers are saying

Customers commend the Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop for its remarkable performance, smooth speed, and crystal-clear graphics, making it a great value for the price. The lit keyboard and ease of use are also appreciated, along with its aesthetically pleasing, lightweight design. However, some customers have noted concerns about the battery life, potential fan noise, and limited storage. While the laptop handles heat well, these are areas to consider.

GREAT FOR THE PRICE, budget PC

I purchased the HP Victus 15.6 during a sale last year. I have used the laptop for many things like video editing, gaming, streaming, school, work and more. It has overall been a pretty solid PC. The screen is beautiful and stream Netflix 4k is very bright and crisp. Its a nice size screen and with the lights off you can loose sight of the fact that your watching on your laptop. Video editing is a breeze and it can handle multiple apps running, but its not split screen. ( not sure if there is a way to do that on this pc.) It runs games well, my son has played Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, Roblox and other games smoothly. I will say that I had issues trying to run Warzone and Call Of Duty games. Seem to lag. I uninstalled the game also because the memory that it takes to run the game. The absolute worst thing about this PC is the battery life. Its horrible. You can get maybe 2 hours of PC if your lucky without out being connected to power source. I believe its because its such a powerful PC for the price yet the battery choice was horrible. If you plan on using this computer without a power source DO NOT BUY IF BATTERY LIFE IS IMPORTTANT. If you can get past that then its really a great PC. IF this is all you can afford its great if you have the money aim higher like a OMEN. Also does not support the OMEN RGB light up keys, IT does have KEY BACKLIGHT that can be turned on and off. Volume of speakers is great. Mouse pad is decent, recommend using a mouse. Get a proper laptop stand and laptop cooler to take wear of your graphics card fans. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hope this was helpful!

This computer runs so well for a 8gb computer. It’s worth the price and it just looks cool too. The graphics are insane, and I plan on upgrading it a bit to make it run a bit better. I play valo, genshin, and so many other games on it with no problem.

HP Victus Power & Better than Chinese Laptops

The HP Victus truly impressed me. It delivers smooth performance, great graphics, and a solid build quality that easily outshines many Chinese brand laptops. Its cooling system and display quality make it perfect for gaming or daily work. Definitely a smart choice for those who value power and durability.

Bought this for playing World of Warcraft, and it’s been amazing. It’s fast, it’s easy to do anything, and it was worth the price! My only criticism might be that if I’m playing unplugged, it gets a little slow and only lasts about an hour. But that’s not really a big deal for me.

This computer has been the best! I got a stellar deal around Black Friday, and so far it’s been great. It was bought for college school work, but my teenagers game on it occasionally. Runs super fast, has a cool light up keyboard, and decent battery life. Very good laptop!

I was needing a new computer, and previous good experiences with buying from Best Buy prompted me to check their website. I've long been a HP computer fan, and currently use one at work. So I looked over the selection that Best Buy had. My criteria was that it had to be fairly fast, with decent memory and a large monitor. The HP Victus fit that need perfectly. I did some on line checking and found good reports on the model. So, I checked the buy now box, arranged payment on line and drove to my nearest Best Buy to pick it up. It was waiting for me at the service desk, and after showing my ID, I was on my way in less than 10 minutes. Set up was quick and easy, and I used a external hard drive to transfer data from my old computer to the new one. The monitor is bright, and easy to see. Everything about the computer seems to work very well, and I'm extremely pleased.

I could not be happier with this purchase. I needed a replacement for my aging business laptop with 16 GB of RAM to do simple UI/UX development work. I wasn't certain that 8 GB would suffice, but because its component configuration is for gaming, it is far more than up to the task. Applications load immediately and photo editing functions run quickly, Busy web pages load fast and stay responsive. The full HD (1920 x 1080) screen is bright and clear. The backlit keyboard comes with a numeric keypad too, so when I travel without peripherals such as a second monitor, keyboard, and mouse, I am not inconvenienced. Best Buy gives you a full 2 weeks to decide whether you like your purchase. I knew in less than 2 work days that I had purchased well.

“HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop: A Balanced Review

The HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop features several pros, such as its powerful AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card, which provide solid performance for gaming and multitasking. Additionally, the 512GB SSD ensures fast load times and quick access to files. However, it also has some cons, including only 8GB of memory, which may limit performance in more demanding applications or multitasking scenarios, and its design might not be as premium or lightweight as other gaming laptops on the market, potentially making it less portable.

While the laptop is super fast, responsive and can play any game I throw at it. I was hoping it would be a good mobile laptop as well. This thing can hardly survive 2 hours away from a plug. Making it a horrible decision if you want to use it for classes or airport travel. Also it's very heavy. More heavy than my old hp envy 700$ laptop from 2012. I thought that with 11 years the laptop would at least weigh the same. The keyboard is also kind of annoying too having to use function button to do simple tasks like change the volume. If you just want to game this is a solid choice. If you want all around laptop as well, i would look elsewhere. If I didn't get this on black Friday for a killer deal of 449 I would have returned it.

Overall a great laptop when it comes to general use, editing, and gaming. It’s lasted me well over a year with heavy use, such as every day school and weekend gaming. I do recommend upgrading the RAM if you want to do some heavier gaming. Great starter laptop, and it’s upgradable too!

When the heat sink fan comes on it makes a low pitch wheezing noise that can be distracting. I believe it is a software glitch, but the Bluetooth to my speaker disconnects. The battery is a bit unimpressive for an otherwise spectacular device. It is fast and responsive.

It's able to handle what I can throw at it. I run multiple IDE's at the same time with an Xebec twin screen attached and it doesn't skip a beat. The fans are relatively quiet. I hadn't tried a Ryzen processor in anything until I purchased the Victus and I can say that despite having 1/8th the ram of my GS66 Stealth, it keeps up fairly well. I don't game much, but use the laptop primarily for software development so performance is a must when running simulations with several IDE's and RDP sessions open in the background. For extreme gaming, it probably wouldn't be the best, but knowing the limitations, it seems to do very well.

The specs of the laptop work great. A major advantage is the price. Considering it is a gaming laptop, the performance is above par but the battery is average. The charger included works very well.

I'm a first time PC user & decided I would rather try a gaming laptop instead of the whole big setup. This laptop is quick, it has done everything I've needed it to do, it's super easy to navigate, the games I play work great on it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the PC world with gaming.

I bought this for my son as a first gaming laptop. It's a great value for the price! The graphics are good, it runs well and he was super pumped about it. I had initially purchased an open box and the profile for whoever had initially purchased it was still active so I couldn't get in (this isn't supposed to happen). It just so happened to be on sale brand new for $20 more so I exhanged it and paid the difference to not have to deal with that. It took a while to exchange and for a brief moment I thought they were going to decline the exchange but they didn't. I would advise just paying a little more for a brand new one than going open box to save the hassle. Otherwise totally worth it!

I thought I needed a stronger laptop for my games, but this 20 series graphics card is a beast! It plays Ark: Survival evolved at 40+ fps on high settings. It plays wow at 120+ fps, it handles every game I’ve thrown at it. The only downside is that there’s only one m.2 slot for storage, but you can upgrade it yourself, 512 isn’t enough for a gamer. You can upgrade the ram up to 32gb and it has two ram slots. There’s a usb c port too if you’re into that. The keyboard is only the color white, which I like. For my laptop, I had to go into the bios to change the setting for the keyboard to not have to use the function key to control my volume, I recommend doing that. You get a huge bargain when this laptop is on sale for $500 again.

I'd be happy to write a review for a laptop, but I need some more information first. Could you tell me a little bit about the laptop you'd like me to review? For example, what is the brand and model? What are the specs? What are you planning to use it for? The more information you can give me, the better I can tailor the review to your needs. Once I have that information, I can start writing the review. I'll cover things like the design, performance, battery life, display, keyboard, and touchpad. I'll also compare it to other laptops on the market and give you my overall verdict on whether or not I think it's worth buying.
