It runs all of the games I wanted to play with it and it’s very fast. The display isn’t the best but it’s a great deal for the price (it goes on sale often for almost $500)

budget gaming laptop and desktop replacement

Excellent laptop for the price I paid. I purchased this laptop around the last black Friday for $480+tax. Not because I needed one, but because it seemed like a steal back then. The first thing I did was purchase another 8GB RAM from Amazon, and expanded the total RAM on the laptop to 16GB. Made quite a difference to the performance.
I still use my custom desktop pc with second gen hexa core Ryzen cpu and 32GB ram, most of the time, but sometimes my ryzen cpu feels sluggish when I have roughly 100 or more Chrome tabs open, and then I switch to my laptop and project the display to my 32 inch BenQ monitor, and the same number of Chrome tabs now feel quite smooth, even with half of the ram of the desktop. I'm not into gaming, so can't say much regarding gaming performance. However, my 12 year old uses this laptop to play games with his buddies, playing mostly Fortnite, PubG and similar games, and he loves the gaming experience
The display, though has higher refresh rate, compared to my Benq, the visual quality and color gamut feels a bit off, leaning more towards pale bluish hue. I assume that would not be a problem for gamers. So, whenever possible, I connect my laptop to my BenQ monitor. Sound quality and volume is decent, but I prefer the Benq monitor's built-in dual 5W stereo speakers which offer a bit more oomph, offering slightly higher volume and sufficient bass. Battery life, understandably for a budget gaming laptop, is mediocre at best, giving out roughly an hour to max 2 hours depending on your use case and power/brightness settings. Keys are ok, nothing to write about. Laptop screen has less flex than comparable laptops and can easily be opened with one finger. A bit heavy to carry around, but it can be an excellent desktop replacement if you have e a larger and better monitor. Highly recommended budget gaming laptop.

I've only bought this laptop solely for gaming during my work travels. I have a Macbook that doesn't game well and a 3080 Ti + 13900k custom water-cooled gaming PC that would be a pain in the butt to travel through customs with, so this fits my use case. Costs as much as the newest PlayStation and Xbox but with the added benefit of using all of my PC game collection and not paying for multiplayer access. I could hook this up to a hotel TV and pair a xbox/playstation controller using bluetooth to use Steam big screen in case I want to pretend that I'm using a console! I recommend upgrading the Wi-Fi card to an Intel AX-210 adapter and a 32GB DDR4 kit so that the Alder lake CPU can work at it's full potential. Overall, Great deal! The best part is how cheap it is for what it can do, I won't have that piece of mind if I had chosen to travel with a $3000 Razor or Alienware laptop. For those complaining about battery life, please just go with an ultrabook or an ARM laptop. This has a H-series intel alder lake CPU and a 1650 so it's a borderline desktop replacement laptop.
