Honestly, an amazing value, especially on sale. However the battery life is so bad. Don't expect more than 2 hours. I have run into multiple blue screens, and had to fix more than one thing. I have had to use microsoft recovery too. When the laptop is working, it is really nice, but has been a little bit of a hassle to keep it working. If you are decently tech-savvy then it is no big deal really. The build quality could be better, and the screen wobbles when you type, but overall it does what I need it to do, and can play the games I want to play!

I study architecture and I was looking for a reliable computer to use in my career as a student. It was the best option I could choose. Good price-quality. Doesn’t overheat, it’s super fast, doesn’t lag with big storage programs, the graphics are HD. Overall, I’d say it’s the best option if you are looking for a computer for design/engineer school.

It is a great laptop. Well worth the money. The graphics are good as well as the speed. My son uses it mostly for school though. So it works perfect for that. He streams youtube music while doing school work and has no issues. Although bitlocker got set up on his computer some how. It made it a giant paper weight. It worked perfect up until that point.

This is a great computer. Everything about this computer is super fast with the Intel I7 12th generation processor. The only drawback I see is the battery life but with this much speed and power you can't have everything. I have read some reviews where people are complaining about the screen being dull but this can be resolved by making a few adjustments. First right click on the screen and go to show more options. Select NVIDIA control panel. Under preferred graphics processor. Select high performance NVIDIA processor. Right click on the screen again and go to display settings. Select the HDR tab. Ensure HDR video streaming is on. Under the same tab set battery options to optimize for video quality. Still under the HDR tab select video playback and ensure process video automatically to enhance it is on and save network bandwidth is off. Making these adjustments will give you a great looking screen and excellent video quality. Hope this helps everyone and enjoy this great computer. RJ

I usually don't leave reviews, but got his on sale for $850 and it worth it. Runs GTA and mods very smoothly. Excellent graphics. For those who don't want a PC or don't have the room for a PC like me, this is a great choice. I hook it up to my TV with an HDMI cable and its better than a PC. Just keep the charger plugged in when gaming because it will drain the battery.

Great laptop for the price. Runs Cyberpunk and most games on high without fps drops. Still a laptop so monitor the heat, but you can't get a better performing laptop for this price anywhere else right now. I ended up upgrading the HD and Ram, super easy to do.

Disclaimer: Beware if you buy open-box. Sometimes paying the extra $50 bucks or whatever might be worth it. I decided to buy this laptop as an open box (excellent). I figured I'd save $100 bucks and there'd be no problems. I was wrong. I'm almost positive they don't check to see if the item is in working condition before listing it. When I received the laptop, everything seemed OK. The laptop/battery/cords were all there in the box. Booted it up and immediately noticed something was wrong with the screen. The entire screen was filled with faint, horizontal, colorful lines. I thought that maybe the graphic driver needed to be updated. I updated everything. I mean, every driver that could possibly be updated was updated and the lines were still there. So, for about a week, I tried to troubleshoot this problem. Adjusting resolution, calibrating, changing the refresh rate, etc. Then I thought to myself, "Why am I going through this? This is supposed to be new and in working order. It was listed as 'excellent'. " I took it back to BestBuy to exchange it for a working one. The Geek Squad concluded that it was a manufacturing defect, and I was able to exchange it with no problems. The in-store team were very friendly and helpful. I was in and out within 30m. The laptop itself is great as a mid-tier gaming laptop. It boots up in the blink of an eye and I am able to play games on high/ultra-settings. The screen leans cool so everything looks a bit washed out but that is just me nitpicking, I haven't experienced any heating issues nor are the fans loud.

I've owned this laptop just over 5 months now. I replaced my Asus ROG with Win10 because it wouldn't allow me to upgrade to Win11. This laptop is perfect for my gaming needs. I usually use my Xbox to game but decided to play Diablo 4 on PC this time around. It runs very well, no issues. There was some stutter and lag when I first started playing but I think that was less about the computer and more about the game. The webcam works well for Zoom calls and there is no issues with Win11. I use a monitor with this for the most part but love having the ability to take the laptop away from my desk. This was a great purchase and looking to get a decent amount of gaming and everyday work out of it.

Purchased Open-Box, writing this review on it currently! was in incredible condition when i recevied it and so far has been wonderful with the performance, the reason im going to have to remove a star is due to the pure lack of things. for example there are only 2 usb ports, i feel like there are many missed design opportunites to increase accessibility, The batterly life isnt horrible when working on Work, but is abyssmal when attempting to run video games and some of my games have a little bit of a hiccup when running, this never happened with my (much worse) prior laptop, but its overall a great purchase very satisfied

It is a really good laptop. It also has 2 types of USB ports. And if you do multitasking on a laptop, this is the perfect laptop because of how easy it is to swipe between windows with a convenient keyboard and touch pad. You can control the laptop performance and the fans. You can have as many programs open as you want without the laptop lagging. i used to have 20-30 chrome tabs, photoshop and blender (3d design app) without the laptop lagging or overheating. Overall, it’s worth your money.

So far, this laptop has exceeded most of my expectations. It is fast, has a crisp and bright display, and contrary to some reviews, runs cool. I am not a gamer and did not buy this laptop for gaming. I wanted a more robust laptop for other audio and video processing needs and this one has handled them with ease. Some reviewers said that battery life was not great and they were not wrong. But good performance requires power, so I am not disappointed. One additional note - Windows 11 was quickly replaced by Linux Mint. During and after the install all of the hardware in the laptop functioned as it should.

Because when do you really ever do gaming on the go in a Cafe or something, and Desktops are better overall power and performance wise, and usually especially if the product is from HP, it’s gonna be bad, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well it has done performance wise, but unfortunately it suffers the same struggles as most gaming laptops and doesn’t hold a charge very well when off the charger when your playing video games, other then that it’s a 10/10❤️

All I can say is wow and I'm pleasantly surprised. Best Buy beat Amazon on price during a discount and I scooped one up. I immediately took it apart and upgraded the RAM to 32GB and the hard drive to 1TB and then installed Windows 11 fresh. This thing flies! Highly recommend getting one of these if you are in the market for a great gaming laptop. I can run Fortnite, LoL, etc. at max settings and it eats it up. I use this as a desktop so I can't speak to battery life, but I love the keyboard feel, the screen, HDMI out, Lightning port, etc. This has it all if you ask me.

This plays games fantastically, runs on next game and old gen (games up to PS5 games). Connection and responses are very fast! It’s only 4 stars because when booted up, Wait for a while because the key inputes has a massive delay and the laptop screen flickere like crazy every few minutes.

I really wanted to love this machine more. I’m part creative pro part occasional gamer, and this machine ticked every box save for one: Display. For gaming and daily tasks the high refresh rate and high performance (this thing is pretty fast for the price) It’s awesome. When it comes to color reproduction and the like I’m left wanting. The only option is to hook up an external display and while that is viable given the GPU, it doesn’t quite mesh with my desired workflow. I know beggars can’t be choosers but for the extra money I’d be spending I’d probably go a different route for the creative work anyway. As for gaming, this little guy crushes it. I’m able to play current gen at reasonable speeds (e.g Cyberpunk @ 1080 med settings with DLSS active, RDR2 @1080 using nvidia optimizer, in these I get around 45-50 fps) Thinking of it as a budget performance laptop will temper your expectations here. Using it for AAA titles at med settings gets you a nice enough looking experience that doesn’t break immersion at fps counts that feel good to play, not in small part due to the 144hz refresh rate supplementing some of those slower rates. I’d highly recommend this thing to anyone looking for an on the go gaming machine that doesn’t mug you in the alleyway like a razer blade might. Sure you can pay more, but honestly at that point, a desktop might be more reliable and future-proof.
