HP - Victus 15.6 Gaming Laptop

I only use for my golf simulation software. When using without charging, battery life is roughly an hour and I have had several instances that the program runs very slow as it appears the computer is overheating for some reason which is very irritating for a brand new laptop. I've had to shut it down, let it sit for a while, then restart the laptop and software to get it running again.
