Good productivity with bad chassis
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, hello everyone who tried to find some information about this laptop in in internet, since there is nothing at USA. I tried to maximize foundation about any specs about this laptop. I bought it by store pickup, there is no issues, box was in good condition, but when i came to home and opened the laptop, screen was doing some weird noises, like it working without greace, but i closed eyes on that, and went thru to laptop. So, there is no information about tdp, keyboatd backlit, thunderbolt. TDP for processor is around 65watt, which is good, for gpu thats around 120watt if you downloaded Omen Hub. Keyboard looks like cheapest, because there is only 2 keys pressed in one time, monochrome baclit with 2 steps of bright ess. If you worried about ssd, or ram, you right, since thats amd, this chassis has only 1nvme and 16gb ram which is minimum. You can send it to hp to upgrade the ram and nvme without losing your warranty. Next stop - productivity and temperatures. I had it almost for 1 day and i EXCITED! I saw a review here that its overheat??? No way thats lie. Full graphs and there is no more than 80 degrees at fan 3000rpm! 144 hz display ideal there for that perfomance, you can use freesync everywhere, and almost everywhere ultra settings. No overheating, no noise, impressive! Next stop sound- not too bad, but not too much bass. Screen is good, lack colors, but good. Chassis is full plastic, so its curvy if you doing a pressure, but not critical... Overall for 1 day of use, im glad that i bought it, but not glad about noise from screen. Will do any photoes if im able.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Victus 16" 8845HS RTX4070 on sale for $900 right before Prime day. Highly recommend upgrading to 32GB RAM. The improvement is significant for game stuttering, loading times, and multi-tasking. Pros: Powerful. Very fast. Handles any game, max settings, with ease. Excellent cooling system. Decent screen. Solid build. 2024 upgraded hinge is perfect. Very easy to upgrade storage&RAM. Cons: Mildly mushy keyboard. Only 1 M.2 SSD slot available. Average battery life. Overall, this laptop is excellent. Try and get it on sale for under $1100.

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read some reviews about some of the dislikes and when I received it I tested those things. The screen is fine. Looks very good to me. Sounds fine and does not run hot. I tested it both in gaming and 3d animations I do. Its MUCH better than the Asus Tuf I just got rid of which also had a 4070. This is an excellent laptop. Could use more space but we can all buy the space we want depending on what you want to do with it. Also, as with any laptop, UPDATE it fully before using to get the best performance. Including the GPU drivers. That should go without saying, but some people just play out of the box with minimal updates without taking the time to set things up. Devices need to be updated out of box. As for brightness, turn....it....up. Looks great

AN AMAZING LAPTOP
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop gaming when it was 500 off discount and I don't regretted buying this montser, I was taking an eye on a lot of laptops from best buy and other sellers and this one eas the best option, this has a rtx 4070 incredible, playing games is no problem with this, I mean it was for school as my necessities but now I can play a lot o games without worring, its processor its awesome, i bought like a week ago and I've been testing it with games and didn't have a problem with any, its awesome, the only con I cam say its the memory space, but I bought a hard drive of 2 tb and no problem, but now I didn't use the space in the own computer, I would say with discout this is a great option, 10/10 for someone who is mot asking for something more stronger, for my own use I'll say its yhe best option.

Hp victus is great
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great, it runs most of the games well over 120 fps and I’ve experienced it, it has a lot of things that were worth the price like the 4070 it has. This laptop is pretty good for all things you can do with it.

A solid computer
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a good solid computer. The few games I've played have looked great. I primarily use it for 3D design and cad and it works great, the screen size gives you plenty of space to draw and having the hdmi output i can use a second monitor for more space. Battery life could be better but it is to be expected with how powerful the laptop is. Per my luck my screen came with a blemish hopefully thats just a me thing. If you can get this on sale i would say you best buy it.

HP Victus 16.1 RTX 4070 for the victory!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 16.1 w/ the RTX-4070 512gb ssd 16gb memory is a beast! And, alleviate your storage needs w/ a 1tb Western Digital WD P-40 external SSD hard drive. I’m running Baldurs Gate 3 and Fallout 76 downloaded onto the external and it’s running great. 144hz is a softer view so nice for gaming for a while. It’s maybe not quite as crisp as a 165hz more modern OLED, but idc for under $1k it’s a deal! Definitely recommend as an experienced PC-Gamer for over 20 years. Try it for yourself at a location first to see the display diff, if it matters that much. This thing performs!

Amazing $900 laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop. I'm able to game max graphics of most games and still get 120 fps +. The cooling on this laptop is also incredible for a 16 thread cpu and 4070. During intense gaming my laptop doesn't get above 70c The display is also super impressive. Its close to my desktop acer predator 2k ips display. All around incredible laptop for $900

The One!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a laptop that could handle my college work and offered a great gaming experience. I like that this laptop looks clean, modern, offers a backlit keyboard that isn’t the usual colors offered by usual gaming laptops, and can run plenty of windows & programs simultaneously. I really appreciate how low-key it is. :)

Good Computer, Bad Vendor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer is great so far but Bestbuy is an extremely dishonest vendor and I won't be buying from them again. They advertise a 2 year warranty on this laptop on the page but HP only covers one year and will tell you to buy their protection for $300, it's disgusting that they're allowed to get away with this.

HP Victus 16.1 Great for Gamers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop is a mixed bag in the best way possible—it delivers a lot of power for the price, but you’ll need to accept a few compromises. After spending some time with it, here’s what stood out to me: Powerful Performance, With Some Heat This laptop doesn’t hold back when it comes to power. The AMD Ryzen 7-8845HS processor and 16GB of DDR5 RAM make for a solid team, and the RTX 4070 is the star here. It handles demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 without a hitch, even at higher settings. I noticed some heat buildup after an hour of gaming, though, which makes the fans kick in. They get a bit loud, but they’re effective—I never had any issues with thermal throttling or frame drops, which is what matters most. Minimalist Design and a Comfortable Keyboard One thing I really like is the laptop’s design. It’s simple and understated, with a matte finish that doesn’t scream “gamer.” The keyboard is a highlight for me—it’s surprisingly comfortable and feels well-built for both work and play. I’ve typed up long documents and spent hours gaming without fatigue, and the backlighting is subtle and helpful. However, the trackpad feels a bit cheap and doesn’t always register my gestures as smoothly as I’d like, so I stick to a mouse. A Fairly Average Display The display is where things get a bit underwhelming. It’s a 1080p panel, and while it’s fine for most gaming, the colors are on the dull side. Watching movies or playing games like Spider-Man looks decent, but the vibrancy just isn’t there if you’re coming from a higher-quality screen. It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you’re a display snob, you might feel the difference. Storage Is Tight, and Battery Life is Predictable The 512GB SSD isn’t quite enough for my needs. After installing a few large games and applications, I quickly found myself running out of space. Upgrading storage is possible, but out-of-the-box, it’s limited. Battery life is predictable for a gaming laptop—it’s around 4 hours for light tasks, but heavy gaming cuts it down to about 1.5 hours. I use it plugged in 90% of the time, so it’s not a huge inconvenience, but if you need a laptop with strong battery life, you might want to look elsewhere. Things I Liked: Strong Gaming Performance: The RTX 4070 handles demanding games easily, and the Ryzen 7 makes multitasking smooth. Comfortable Typing Experience: The keyboard is a joy to use—responsive and comfortable, making it great for both work and play. Simple, Professional Design: It looks great on a desk and doesn’t have the aggressive gamer aesthetic, which is a plus for me. Things That Fell Short: Underwhelming Display: It’s serviceable, but colors don’t pop. It’s fine for gaming, but not ideal for media editing or anything color-sensitive. Limited Out-of-the-Box Storage: 512GB fills up fast with modern games, so expect to upgrade if you’re a heavy user. Fan Noise: It’s noticeable during heavy gaming, though it keeps the laptop cool enough to avoid performance drops. Overall Impressions The HP Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop is an excellent mid-range gaming machine if you prioritize performance over flashy features. It’s reliable for gaming and everyday use, but if you’re looking for long battery life or a stunning display, you might need to consider alternatives. For me, it’s a solid gaming laptop that delivers where it counts—speed and gaming capability.

Amazing Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought in July at $899. It's now November and wanted to get a good idea of how it worked before I reviewed it. It works great! So far, it has run every game I've tried on Ultra with no problems. I upgraded to 32GB DDR5 RAM at 5600MHz & a m.2 2280 2TB SSD. It runs cool doing anything 30s-50s on normal use and 70s at most while gaming. Although I know what I'm doing when ut comes to debloat and setup. I highly recommend this gaming laptop! It works great, and if you get it on sale, its an awesome deal! Happy Gaming!
